Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 2 The 2021 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered with content all week long. Earlier in the week, we covered our top cash game plays and also looked at all the relevant injuries and now it's time to look at some of the top stacks for GPP formats. Game Stack - Cowboys vs. Chargers We have to wait until the afternoon but this game has the highest total on the slate and is, by far, my favorite place to start my teams in almost every single format. I prefer both teams passing games and if I had to choose just one, it would be the Chargers' side as the Cowboys' pass defense picked up where it left off in 2020, looking absolutely terrible. Add on that they will lose pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and both starting safeties are questionable this week(Wilson did not practice all week & Wright was limited Thurs/Fri). With all that said let's take a look at both sides. Justin Herbert FD 7600 DK 6700 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 24.18 DK - 24.88 Keenan Allen FD 7400 DK 7000 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 16.18 DK - 19.7 Mike Williams FD 5600 DK 6100 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 12.42 DK - 14.77 Like I mentioned above, I favor the Chargers side a little bit more in this game as a pick to win and for DFS. It starts with quarterback Justin Herbert who is not only cheaper on both sites but is coming off a week where he threw the ball 47 times, eight most of any quarterback to start the season. He only completed 31 of those passes and was only able to throw for one TD as Washington's redzone defense held its own but he did end up with 337 yards and was rated the 4th most aggressive QB in week one(via NextGen Stats). What I really like about both these teams are the concentrated targets to a smaller number of players. For the Chargers, Keenan Allen(13) and Mike Williams(12) drew 25 targets between them(54%) with no other receiver having more than five. It's a small sample size but I feel the Cowboys are going to be much stronger vs. the run than the pass so projecting Herbert for 40+ pass attempts in this projected high-pace game doesn't feel crazy at all and if...

Daily Fantasy NFL Top GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 1

Daily Fantasy NFL Top GPP Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 1 The 2021 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered with content all week long. Game Stack - Titans vs. Cardinals Ryan tannehill FD 7700 DK 6500 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 20.34 DK - 20.91 A.J. Brown FD 7800 DK 7100 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 13.26 DK - 15.69 Julio Jones FD 7000 DK 6800 Opponent ARI Proj Points FD - 12.02 DK - 14.39 First of all, this game has the 2nd highest total on the slate featuring two teams who run a Top 10 pace. Let's start with the Titans who feature several players who may not be Top 5 highest owned at their positions. It starts with at QB with Ryan Tannehill who comes in the same price range as the projected highest owned QB on the slate, Jalen Hurts. This gives us leverage over the field and it's not like we are losing a ton of upside as the Cards ranked mid-pack against the pass last year and look to be in decline coming into 2021. He also gets even more weapons in 2021 as the team added Julio Jones in the offseason to play opposite of A.J. Brown. That is a lethal combo especially with the attention defense's have to pay to Derrick Henry who can easily blow up a game at any point. Most of my TEN stacks will have Tannehill and just ONE of the two wideouts but I will mix in some double-wideout lineups to maximize my upside should they both go off! Kyler Murray FD 8400 DK 7600 Opponent TEN Proj Points FD - 22.55 DK - 23.27 Deandre Hopkins FD 8200 DK 7800 Opponent TEN Proj Points FD - 16.23 DK - 19.96 Rondale Moore FD 4900 DK 3000 Opponent TEN Proj Points FD - 7.63 DK - 9.3 The Cardinals are a slight road underdog(+3) here and projected to be the highest owned side of this potential high-paced, shootout. It makes sense as they face a Titans defense that ranked 29th in passing yards per game allowed and 28th in fantasy points per game to wideouts. While Kyler was ranked a little lower in terms...

Quarterbacks Carson Wentz FD 6500 DK 5600 Opponent SEA Proj Points FD - 16.33 DK - 17 This has been known, but it is worth clarifying before starting the season. Wentz will be under center for the Colts in his first regular-season snaps for the new team. After dealing with off-season injuries and some Covid concerns as well, he is a full-go for Week 1. That is a boost to the pass catchers (who we will get to in a second). Against the Seahawks, I like Wentz as a flyer play here especially if he can return to any semblance of the better version of himself. Remember, this was a guy in 2018 who had a 69% completion percentage and over 3,000 passing yards in just 11 games. Running Backs Austin Ekeler FD 6900 DK 7000 Opponent WAS Proj Points FD - 14.74 DK - 17.06 This is one of the biggest situations to monitor heading into Sunday. He didn’t practice on Thursday and though there is some “optimism” that he is cleared by Sunday he might not be 100%. It is an inauspicious start for a guy who was one of the very best per-touch fantasy running backs when healthy. But the “when healthy” piece has been the operative wording we’ve had to incorporate with Ekeler. Projected to be a three-down fantasy stud, that is in jeopardy here. If he were to sit we would probably see some kind of committee between Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley. Gus Edwards FD 6500 DK 5600 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 0 DK - 0 With torn ACL Gus Edwards capped off one of the unluckiest team injury runs in recent memory for the Baltimore Ravens. In the span of just a few weeks, the team lost J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, and now Edwards for the entire season. It’s left their running back situation in major flux. Heading into Week 1 the Ravens' backfield is pretty much a mess. For a team that almost wants to solely run the ball, they now have all kinds of question marks. Ty'Son Williams actually got reps in the preseason so he is a likely candidate to start. But Baltimore also just signed Latavius Murray and added Le’Veon Bell to the practice squad. It likely means something of a committee once again with Lamar...

NFL Best Ball Strategy for DraftKings – 2021 Season

Posted by on Jul 31, 2021 in featured, Football Strategy, Other Daily Fantasy Sports |

NFL Best Ball Strategy for DraftKings - 2021 Season Welcome back football fans. It feels like ages ago we were betting on Super Bowl props and watching Tom Brady add to his legendary career. For the first time in years, I have actually found time to start my NFL research in July. I have also made a huge shift in what kind of fantasy football I am playing in 2021. I used to play 15+ season long leagues on Yahoo but with my full-time career doing DFS content that has dramatically fallen off. Over the last couple of years specifically, I have transitioned most of my Yahoo bankroll allocation to Best Ball leagues. They are a perfect fit for people who play DFS each and every week on DraftKings, FanDuel, PrizePicks, and others. You draft your team of players pre-season and that's it. No in-season roster moves or start/sit decision or remembering to set said lineup(this happened alot with how busy DFS Sunday am is). I will be playing almost exclusively on DraftKings so all of my references will refer to that throughout the article. Let's start by looking at the draft, your roster requirements, scoring, and then get into some strategy. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Draft Types You have two choices when first getting started. You can sign up for a Slow Draft(8 hour time limit to pick) or Fast Draft(30 seconds per pick). While I have exposure to both formats, I much prefer the Slow Draft as it gives me more time to analyze everything and make a more informed decision with each pick, which is crucial in best-ball format as you don't get any transactions throughout the season. Contest Types There are also two types of contests you can enter on DraftKings, as well. Sit & Go's These contests run the entire NFL regular season(Week 1-17) and leagues are made up of anywhere from 3-12 teams. Tournaments These are larger prize pool contests that consist of multiple 12-team leagues and are split up into four rounds: → Round 1(Week 1-14) - you play within your 12-team league and the Top 2 teams move on to Round → Round 2(Week 15) - You are randomly placed against another advancing team(they will avoid putting you up against yourself if you have multiple teams advance). Win and move on! → Round 3(Week 16) - You are randomly placed against another advancing team(they will avoid putting you up against yourself if you have multiple teams advance). Win...

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings – Week 17

Posted by on Jan 2, 2021 in featured, Football Strategy |

Daily Fantasy NFL GPP Leverage Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings - Week 17 The 2020 NFL season is now in full swing and the DFSR team has covered in every area. Earlier in the week, we covered Cash Game Plays, our Top Bets, and looked at Injury Report. Now let's take a look at a few possible low owned GPP plays based on some of the industry buzz and ownership projections. Keep in mind, these are not safe plays and are generally very boom or bust. Roster accordingly. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL and MLB optimizers and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Running Back The Chalk - David Montgomery, Jonathan Taylor The Pivot Aaron Jones FD 8000 DK 7100 Opponent CHI Proj Points FD - 15.11 DK - 16.61 There is absolutely no safety here with Jones in Week 17 as not only is Williams coming back but AJ Dillon is coming off a breakout rookie performance, albeit in a blowout. With the Packers in a "win and take division title" scenario and Aaron Rodgers/Devante Adams on a complete rampage of the league, Jones is going to come in very low owned especially with chalk Montgomery on the other side and Jonathan Taylor for the Colts. There is a ton of risk here but he is more than capable of 100+ yards multiple touchdowns in this offense and is a terrific leverage play off the passing game in which we don't need a ton of exposure to take advantage. Quarterback The Chalk - Lamar Jackson, Ryan Tannehill, Aaron Rodgers The Pivot Josh Allen FD 8200 DK 7600 Opponent MIA Proj Points FD - 19.06 DK - 19.82 I am all aboard the risk train in GPP this week and this pick highlights that. The Bills are in great shape to capture the #2 seed but would lose it with a loss and Steelers win so I see them playing the starters here and that is great news as they are likely very low owned. Allen is having an MVP-like season and comes into this one red-hot throwing for 320+ yards in three of his last four games with a total of 14 touchdowns(12 passing, 2 rushing). It helps he has one of the best wideouts in the league in Stefon Diggs who I will be stacking him with this week. With Cole Beasley out, I will also be looking at value with Gabriel Davis and Dawson Know. The matchup is a tougher one as the Dolphins rank 5th in DVOA defense vs. the pass and 7th...
