DFS NFL Talk Week 5 - Look Back at Week 4 and Ahead to Week 5 - 10/3/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take the Tuesday podcast looking back at Week 4 in the NFL and ahead to Week 5 for FanDuel and DraftKings. The big news of course this week was injuries to running backs, most notably Dalvin Cook being lost for the season. Chris Carson also suffered a broken leg for Seattle and both team’s backfield look awfully messy now. Other news notes include Marcus Mariota’s injury, Derek Carr sitting for the next couple of weeks and Mitch Trubisky now taking over the helm in Chicago. The guys also look back at some of the standout performances from an exciting Week 4 in the NFL. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 4 – 10/1/17
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 4 - 10/1/17 I would love to tell you that Week 3 went exactly as planned and I came out on top but that would be an outright lie! All three stacks were a major disappointment and were very damaging to my bankroll. The Redskins defense took the words from the Raiders wideouts to heart and shut them down completely. The Redskins defense took the words from the Raiders wideouts to heart and shut them down completely. Both Cooper and Crabtree were held to just one reception while Derek Carr totaled just 118 yards and threw two interceptions. Cam Newton continued to look rusty(I can't use the words that came out of my mouth on Sunday) as he was also held under 200 yards and threw three interceptions while only rushing three times for 16 yards. Without the added yards and fantasy points on the ground, Cam is nothing more than an average QB at this point. Then there was the Chargers who couldn't take advantage of a fairly vulnerable Chiefs defense that is allowing 250+ yards through the air per game. Phillip Rivers looked like he was ready to head back to San Diego where at least the fans showed up. He threw for just 237 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions. Keenan Allen did get the largest target share(9) but couldn't make much of it with just five catches for 61 yards while it was Travis Benjamin who hit value with 105 yards. That's right, a big giant goose egg in Week 3 but the good news is that it's now behind us and we have yet another week to get back on track. One thing to pay attention to this week is the changes DraftKings made to their main slate this week. They have removed the Sunday night game which gives us just 12 games on the main slate for the Milli Maker contest. There is also another game in London this week with the Saints and Dolphins going head to head at Wembley Stadium. Let's jump in and take a look at some of the top stacks this week. DFS NFL Talk Week 4 - Game-by-game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/28/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take the Thursday podcast breaking every game on a big Week 4 in the NFL for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to discuss with some high profile teams in either tougher spots or not playing on the main slate of games at all. Some of the discussion includes what to make of the Vikings who could be without Bradford again, if Dez’s early season struggles are matchup-based or something else, whether the cheaper running backs are worth the risk and just how far away is a 61 yard field goal. All of this and much more as the guys break down every game in the NFL for Week 4. Subscribe to this podcast on...
DFS NFL Talk Week 4 – Cash Game Considerations 9/27/17
DFS NFL Talk Week 4 - Cash Game Considerations 9/27/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Wednesday NFL pod discussing cash game plays for Week 4 on FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to consider on a week where ownership percentages could be all over the place. They start at quarterback with Tom Brady, Carson Palmer and some of the cheap plays like Deshaun Watson and Tyrod Taylor. At running back, Ezekiel Elliott looks to be in a potentially solid game script as a favorite at home against the Rams. They also discuss Devonta Freeman and punt-isa plays like Chris Carson and Joe Mixon. Receiver could be the chalk position with AJ Green and Larry Fitzgerald coming off of great weeks. And tight end could roll the same way. All of this an more on a full Wednesday cash game pod for Week 4 NFL on FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy Football Picks – FanDuel & DraftKings Week 4 10/1/17
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 4 - 10/1/17 Wow, what a crazy Week 3 in the NFL. There were legit more WTF?! moments on Sunday than I really care to count including (but not limited to) New England needing a Brady miracle to pull out a win at home against Houston, Golden Tate getting tackled at the half inch line to end the game, Jacksonville and Washington winning in blowouts, two OT games and a 61 yard game winning field goal. And that doesn’t even feel like the half of it. But on to Week 4 we head which could include its own level of crazy. We have DraftKings taking off the Sunday night game from the main slate, another Sunday morning game and a bunch of cheap quarterbacks looking like possible value. Let’s dive in. We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Tom Brady FD 9500 DK 8000 Opponent CAR Proj Points FD - 20.12 DK - 20.57 Two things are becoming very clear to start this season. 1. Tom Brady is still in the top 1-2 quarterbacks in the league and 2. The Patriots defense isn’t shutting anyone down this season. Through the first three weeks Brady leads all quarterbacks in fantasy scoring (it’s not all that close) and the Patriots have allowed an average 32 points per game to the Chiefs, Saints and *gulp* Texans. I know they come into this game as a big favorite, but that hasn’t mattered much for the Pats so far this season and Brady should continue to see Brady-like opportunity making the offense churn. Some blowout risk for sure, but most of the offensive production stands to run through him for a team with the highest implied total on the day. Carson Palmer FD 7400 DK 6100 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 20.41 DK - 21.6 In his two games without David Johnson, Palmer has averaged 44 passing attempts and 329 yards through the air. The Cardinals haven’t been able to trust much, if anything, with their running game and will likely continue to rely on Palmer to move the ball down the field. He’s not an accurate passer (57% over the last two weeks which is down from his career numbers) and that should be expected especially without best safety valve in...
