Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 – 10/8/17
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 5 - 10/8/17 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football. It was a tough week for me as a Minnesota Vikings fan as Dalvin Cook went down with a non-contact injury and is lost for the season with a torn ACL and Case Keenum came back to Earth and looked like...well...Case Keenum. Enough about my fandom and more about DFS as the stack I recommended last week turned out much better than the week before. As always, I will provide a quick recap of how things turned out before getting into this week's picks. Let's do it! It started early Sunday with the game at Wembley Stadium in London and to be honest, I was a bit scared of how the week would turn out. I slept through the entire first half and when I woke up it was 3-0 Saints at halftime. Before going right back to sleep I decided to watch the first drive and was thrilled to see Drew Brees drive the ball down the field and throw a touchdown to Michael Thomas. The Saints only put up 20 points in the end but considering it looked like a 9-6 type game at halftime, I will take it and run. Brees ended up completing 29 of 41 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns while Michael Thomas caught eight of his 11 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown. Coby Fleener was a bust but I am willing to cut those losses and take the points I got from Brees/Thomas. The Cardinals and 49ers game also came in under the number last week but Palmer and Fitz continued to roll. Without David Johnson, the system was bullish on Palmer's pass attempts(49) and he outperformed that by two completing 33 of 51 and recorded his third straight 300+ passing yard game. That made up for the lack of touchdowns in this low-scoring game but thankfully the one he did throw went to Larry Fitzgerald. Even with bye weeks and limited options this week, both are still underpriced, in my opinion, on both sites. There were a few high-scoring games I missed out on last week(Rams vs. Cowboys, Panthers vs. Patriots) but the Texans and Titans was not one of them. Rookie Deshaun Watson had a terrific game for fantasy completing 25 of 34 passes for 283 yards and four touchdowns. He narrowly missed out on the 300-yard bonus on DraftKings but made up for it adding a fifth touchdown on the ground. He continued to favor DeAndre Hopkins who had double the targets of any other receiver as he caught 10 of his 12 targets for 107 yards...
DFS NFL Talk Week 5 – Game-by-game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/6/17
DFS NFL Talk Week 5 - Game-by-game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/6/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the Friday podcast breaking down every game on a Week 5 NFL slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. It’s an interesting week that likely sees a bunch of chalk at the RB and WR positions. That’s because there’s a lack of good games and some teams are on byes. But they try to sniff out some of the additional value in certain situations. They discuss the Giants at length and how their passing game has become the defacto run. They also look at possibly just stacking Bell and Brown for the Steelers in cash. And then they talk at length about the Packers-Cowboys which rates to be one of the most exciting games of the week. All of this and much more on a full Friday game-by-game breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...
DFS NFL Talk Week 5 – Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/5/17
DFS NFL Talk Week 5 - Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 10/5/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take the Thursday podcast discussing cash game plays for Week 5 on FanDuel and DraftKings. They discuss how tonight’s Thursday game actually has a ton of fantasy viable plays including Brady, Jameis, Evans, Hogan and more. Then they go through quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson who look like great plays on the main slate of games. It’s likely going to make sense paying up at running back as well with Le’Veon Bell and Todd Gurley likely seeing high ownership in Week 5. They go a little cheaper at WR with Keenan Allen, DeAndre Hopkins and Jaron Brown as a punt on FD. All of this and more on a Week 5 cash game podcast for FanDuel and DraftKings. We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Tom Brady FD 9300 DK 8000 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 25.21 DK - 25.8 (Thursday slate) A certain pattern is emerging for the Patriots this season. Tom Brady is lighting opposing defenses up like his usual self while the Patriots’ D is getting lit up in its own right. The effect is the New England offense needs to keep its foot on the gas the entire game because the defense keeps the opponent in every affair. It’s nuts, highlighted by early season losses to the Chiefs in week one and then an inexplicable buzzer beater field goal loss to the Panthers last week. But Brady gonna Brady and he had another strong game in Week 4 with 307 yards and 2 TDs through the air. This week they get the Bucs with the highest implied total of the day (30.5) and Brady should come out firing following the loss. He’s expensive for sure, but I think you can roster the salary. We don’t tend to cover the Thursday night games as part of our cash game articles, but this is a good chance to play him in a plus matchup even with the ownership likely trending high because of the timing of the game. Russell Wilson FD 8000 DK 7100 Opponent LAR Proj Points FD - 21.12 DK - 21.86 The Seattle offensive line has struggled this season and they are without any real semblance of a consistent running game) but that has effected Wilson all that much to start the season. He's the third highest scoring fantasy quarterback through four weeks thanks in large part to his ability to extend plays with his legs and also get the ball downfield. He ranks second among quarterbacks in rushing yards (138, Watson is well ahead and is working with 1/2 less of a game) and has a WR1 in Baldwin. There are a number of very low implied total games this week but Seattle-LA rates out as a possible "shootout" with a thin spread and 47 O/U. Wilson is coming significantly less than the guys listed above and below him in this article. I love targeting QBs with the ability to scramble for my cash games because...
