Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 17 – 12/31/17
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 17 - 12/31/17 If Christmas Eve NFL wasn't enough to put you on shaky ground with the significant other, how about a little New Year's Eve action? Week 17 is always the most fluid of DFS NFL weeks. It's very hard to know who is going to play their starters, who is going to rest with some phantom injury, and which teams are going to battle for higher seeding while others rest on their laurels. That being said, there is still plenty of value to pass around this week, so let's get to it! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our NBA Optimizer, and our new Player Lab! We've got you completely covered. A quick rule of thumb for week 17 Week 17 is crazy in the NFL because we simply don't know what teams are planning to do with their DFS relevant players. This can lead to outsized opportunity for backups, or it can lead to heartbreak when we play a guy who we think is a stud and he only winds up playing the first half. Thus, there are 5 tiers of opportunity for week 17 I want you to take into account: Tier 1: Teams with a ton on the line I'm talking playoff births and a first round bye. Both of these are so important that any team would go all out to try and secure it. For week 17, the following teams have this level of skin in the game: Tennesee, Buffalo, the LA Chargers, Baltimore, Atlanta, Seattle, Minnesota, and Carolina. Tier 2: Teams playing for playoff seeding and/or divisional titles, but who are locked into the playoffs: New England, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, the LA Rams. Tier 3: Teams with nothing to play for, but who haven't had anything to play for in ages: Cleveland, Indianapolis, Houston, NYJ, Denver, Cincinnati, Miami, Oakland, NYG, Tampa Bay, Chicago, San Francisco. Tier 4: Teams playing for moral victories (like a .500 record). Detroit, Dallas, Arizona, Washington, Green Bay. Tier 5: Teams that were recently eliminated or totally locked into their spot: Jacksonville (locked into the 3 seed), Philly (locked into home field advantage), Kansas City (locked into the 4 seed). If I can help it, I'm only playing players in the top 3 tiers unless I get explicit news that a Tier 4 team is really earnestly going for...
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 – 12/24/17
Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 - 12/24/17 Welcome back fantasy football fans. I don't blame you if you took the week off as the main slate falls on Christmas Eve where you will likely want to be spending time with your family playing Scrabble, Monopoly, or other popular board games but if you are like me you will have at least Redzone playing on your phone(don't tell my mom). There are also two games on Christmas Day this week so if you plan on eating a ton of Turkey and chilling on the couch, I would advise you to get in some Sunday-Monday slate action. There are some very intriguing matchups and a lot on the line this week so let's first take a look at some of the injuries that could affect our lineup construction. Antonio Brown - Out with a calf injury and may not play until the playoffs. Leonard Fournette - Practiced in full this week and is slated to return to the Jaguars backfield after dealing with a quad injury. DeAndre Hopkins - Was limited in Thursday's practice with the same toe injury but there is not much concern that he will miss the game as he played through it last week and came through once again. Ezekiel Elliott - Will make his return from suspension this week and get a nice matchup vs. a banged up Seahawks defense. Julio Jones - Was limited in Thursday's practice with an ankle and thumb injury after the expectation was he would be out of practice all week. This is a good sign in a huge division game vs. the Saints. Devante Adams - Has been ruled out as he is dealing with a concussion. This opens up extra targets for Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb but they face a tough matchup vs. the Vikings. Isaiah Crowell - Limited on Thursday dealing with a shoulder injury but the expectation is that he will play this week. He could see limited snaps opening some added touches for Duke Johnson. Travis Kelce - Didn't practice on Wednesday with an illness but is expected to play and the questionable tag could help with his ownership. Tevin Coleman - Has cleared the concussion protocol and will play this week. Joe Mixon - Practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday and should return if he doesn't experience any setbacks before Sunday. Devin Funchess - Dealing with a shoulder injury and has yet to practice this week but has told the media he is "good to go". Play with caution as he was a non-factor last week with the same injury. Samaje Perine - Left Thursday's practice after suffering...

Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 – 12/24/17
Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 16 - 12/24/17 Why hello there! Expecting another brilliant DFS football article from Doug? Too bad, my friends. For the next two weeks you're going to get me. Thankfully I am pretty awesome at writing picks articles. If you are in the market for awesome picks articles, please do read on. We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Cam Newton FD 8300 DK 6800 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 22.47 DK - 23.28 I am pretty sure I'm doomed to guess wrong on Cam Newton in every game of his career, but will that stop me from headlining my first picks article of the season with him? Heck no. Cam's career has this wild trajectory where the Panthers went from turning him loose, to trying to protect him, to realizing he kinda sucks at passing when he's not running, to realizing that since he sucks at passing when he's not running it probably doesn't matter if he just runs a bunch come Hell or high water. So now we're getting this weird QB/RB hybrid where he is only good for 175-250 passing yards per game, but is also getting 11-14 carries per game. This is hard for my merely human brain to comprehend since it's so unusual, so please pardon me when I just trust the numbers here. The truth of the matter is that while the daily fantasy football sites weight rushing yards as more significant than passing yards, running QBs will always be a value even if they lack some consistency. I think I've seen enough out of Newton at this point, though. With 14 carries last week and 11 the week before that, it's clear that Carolina is happy to just jam the dude on the ground while they fish around for that #2 seed. This week he also gets the literal dream match-up: Tampa Bay has allowed the 5th highest yards per carry on the ground while also allowing the very most passing yards in the league. Easy game, boys. Cam all the way! (sorry in advance when he throws for 130 yards and 2 picks). Russell Wilson FD 9000 DK 7000 Opponent DAL Proj Points FD - 22 DK - 22.75 So I've called Cam a poor man's Wilson, but after watching...
