Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Divisional Round - Sunday With the Eagles, Saints, Patriots, and Chargers playing we actually have some decent players to pick from. But do we have enough cheap value to wind up with lineups that don't include throwaway players that barely touch the ball? Ugh. Let's see what we can do. Looking for Saturday's article? Doug wrote up that two game slate here! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our NBA Optimizer, and our NFL Player Lab! We've got you completely covered.     Los Angeles Chargers (4) vs. New England Patriots (-4) As we get deeper into the playoffs we usually wind up with more good players, which is nice, but we also wind up with worse match-ups, which isn't as nice. The Pats and Chargers were both in the "sneaky good" defensive category this season. Neither of them is necessarily known for their defensive reputation, but each has things they do well. The Chargers were the 12th toughest team in the NFL against the run, and the 9th toughest against the pass. The Patriots allowed the 5th fewest yards per pass to opposing QBs this season, but were pretty bad against the run, allowing the 3rd highest yards per carry in the NFL. This is all relative on a two game slate, of course, but I wanted to get the context out of the way before we got into the specific picks. Melvin Gordon FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent NE Proj Points FD - 15.19 DK - 16.88 If New England was one of the most generous defenses to opposing running backs this season, we should probably think long and hard about running Gordon out there on a two game slate. The case against Gordon is a pretty good one, though. He was bottled up against the Ravens last week, turning his 18 touches into just 43 yards. He split time with Ekeler, and missed a few series with an injury. He's a 4 point dog, so there is some chance that the Chargers are playing from behind here. He also came up with a sore knee after last week, and has been missing practice this week. I still believe that all of that is just precautionary, though. Gordon punched in the Chargers' goal line carry last week, and the Chargers as a whole ran pretty bad in terms...

NFL Podcast – Divisional Round Game-by-game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings

NFL Podcast - Divisional Round Game-by-game Breakdown for FanDuel and DraftKings DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NFL podcast discussing a weekend of Divisional Round playoff games for FanDuel and DraftKings. There’s a lot to like about both the Saturday and Sunday slates from a fantasy perspective. The guys go game-by-game looking at some of the cash game considerations. They debate Todd Gurley vs. Ezekiel Elliott at the top tier of running back on Saturday. They also look at the Rams’ pass-catching corps and the idea of possible stacking some Cowboys in the same game. Clearly Patrick Mahomes is the top quarterback option for the weekend, but can you fade him in favor of someone like Andrew Luck for cheaper? They also make sense of the Eagles and Nick Foles, how to project the Patriots and much more. Subscribe to this podcast on...

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Divisional Round – Saturday

Daily Fantasy Football Cash Game Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Divisional Round - Saturday The Divisional Round is here for the NFL playoffs and we've got the making of an offense-fueled weekend of football. With the Chiefs, Rams, Saints and more all taking the field, expect a lot of scoring. We'll take you through the two days of DFS plays starting with Saturday's matchups. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NFL optimizer for FanDuel and DraftKings, our NBA Optimizer, and our NFL Player Lab! We've got you completely covered. Indianapolis Colts (5.5) vs. Kansas Chiefs (-5.5) Patrick Mahomes FD 9000 DK 7000 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 25.91 DK - 27.26 It doesn’t take much in the way of analytics to see that Mahomes is the top overall quarterback for the Divisional round of games. After all, this guy finished as the number one fantasy quarterback on the season by a wide margin. That’s what 5,000+ passing yards and 50 touchdowns will get you. He was on another level and will have a chance to continue the breakout season on Saturday against the Colts. The Chiefs come in with the highest implied total (31) though Vegas does see Indy somewhat hanging here. Though he’s the most expensive quarterback on the weekend, it’s worth paying up for Mahomes in cash games on both sites. We currently have him projected around 24% higher than the next closest QBs (Goff and Luck). This doesn’t strike me as a fade opportunity in cash games considering how much KC relies on the pass and just how head and shoulders above Mahomes is than the rest of the field. Damien Williams FD 6100 DK 5100 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 13.61 DK - 15.2 Spencer Ware has returned to practice this week, but at this point, I’m hard-pressed to see why the Chiefs would get away from how they’ve been using Damien Williams. Over the final three weeks of the season, with Ware on the shelf (and Kareem Hunt out of the picture) Williams has been superb. He’s carried the ball 34 times for 203 yards (5.97 YPC) and caught 14 balls for 119 yards. He’s basically been the perfect running back for this offense and I don’t know why the Chiefs would go away from something that’s working well. So while bringing Ware back does crowd the backfield, I’m counting on Williams retaining the bulk of the workload on...

Indianapolis Colts Quarterback - Andrew Luck Primary Target -T.Y. Hilton Secondary Target - Eric Ebron Our system currently has Watson as the top projected quarterback this weekend but I am not completely buying it. As division rivals, these two teams played each other twice this year with each team getting a three-point win on the road. In those games, Luck was easily the best fantasy option racking up 863 passing yards with six touchdowns. Houston comes into this game ranked #1 in DVOA against the rush but #18 against the pass so it makes sense to go this route for both the team and for fantasy. Pair Luck with T.Y. Hilton who hasn't been practicing all week but is probable to play and the industry doesn't seem to be too worried as he currently leads all tags on FanShareSports. He was also a beast in the two meetings this season catching four of six targets for 115 yards in the first game and nine of 12 targets for 199 yards in the second game. You can also consider Eric Ebron in a stack with Luck as he finished the regular season 10th overall in red zone targets(21) and second in red zone touchdowns(11). While Watson is currently #1 in raw projected points for quarterbacks, Luck leads the projections in pass attempts giving him big-time upside on this small slate. The Colts will be a very chalky team to stack this week but there are plenty of ways to differentiate yourself with the rest of your available slots. Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback - Nick Foles Primary Target - Zach Ertz Secondary Targets - Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor This stack is the contrarian option this week as it appears most people will be playing the Bears defense and for good reason, as they allowed the third fewest yards per game overall(299.7), the least amount of points per game(17.7), and finished with the third most sacks(50). For the Eagles to have any chance in this game, Nick Foles will have to show some more of his playoff magic and put up a monster game. He is cheap on both sites, has 300+ yard/3+ TD upside and will likely be...
