Quarterback Patrick Mahomes FD 8500 DK 8000 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 26.35 DK - 26.96 After stumbling some to start the season, the Chiefs have turned things around of late, winning their last five in a row against a more difficult part of their schedule overall. Mahomes has been up and down from a fantasy perspective, throwing for fewer than 300 yards in all but one of the last six games, with no touchdowns in the last two. The price hasn’t dipped as much as we would like on the back of these weaker performances, but I also don’t think we need to read all that much into them either. This is a decent enough matchup against the Raiders who are about league average against the pass (worse against the run). Fire up Mahomes here with the idea that the touchdowns come back around. Taysom Hill FD 7700 DK 5600 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 22.59 DK - 23.27 We are in an interesting spot with Hill here. On the one hand, there’s his hand. He’s dealing with a finger injury that’s definitely affecting his ability to throw. So on that front, not good. On the other hand, he’s coming so, so cheap on DraftKings and has shown the ability to make up for a lot on the ground in the run game. Last week, he ran 11 times for 101 yards. Sure, he completed less than 50% of his passes, but also managed a couple of TDs through the air. On DK, in the mid-$5K range I think you just have to play him against the Jets and hope he racks up a ton of yards with his legs. Running Back Javonte Williams FD 6700 DK 5900 Opponent DETProj Points FD - 20.56 DK - 22.24 With Melvin Gordon out of the lineup, it was all Javonte Williams for the Broncos. Sure, they lost to the Chiefs, but for our purposes, we don’t care all that much about the outcome. Williams played 78% of the snaps, and got 32 total looks with 23 carries and nine targets. That’s elite (elite!) usage and this week gets a much better matchup. Denver is -8 home favorites against the 29th defense in the league in the Lions. This is a smash spot again for Williams if Gordon...

Running Back/Defense Stack Alexander Mattison FD 8700 DK 7600 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 20.24 DK - 22.59 MIN FD 4600 DK 3200 Opponent DET Proj Points FD - 7.92 DK - 7.92 I never like writing up my favorite team and not because I am biased. It's more due to the fact they seem to play up or down to their opponents and have been very inconsistent, hence a 5-6 record. The reason this stack shows up at #1 for me this week is that it can be used in all formats as the Vikings are in a great spot here checking all the boxes. They are pretty much in a must-win situation sitting as the 7-seed and no better matchup than against the winless Lions who will also be without their best player, D'Andre Swift. With Dalvin Cook ruled out, Alexander Mattison will once again take on the lead role in the backfield and he has a track record in this situation. His last three starts with Cook out(Week 5, week 3, & week 16 2020), he has averaged over 150 yards from scrimmage and that includes heavy involvement in the pass game. I project him getting 18-20 touches for a floor with upside of 25+. He is likely a little lower owned on FanDuel where he is the 3rd most expensive option at the position(6th on DK). I like stacking the defense with Mattison in this matchup, especially with Swift and his late game fantasy explosions out of the equation. The Vikings D has actually provided a decent floor all season as they have tallied multiple sacks in every game with at least one interception in six of their last seven games. I will have exposure to this stack in all formats this week. Projected Low Owned Leverage Stack Taylor Heinicke FD 7100 DK 5600 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 20.31 DK - 21.21 Terry McLaurin FD 7200 DK 7400 Opponent LV Proj Points FD - 15.01 DK - 18.31 If you are one to look at ownership projections and try and make some leverage pivots, this one is...

Quarterback Jalen Hurts FD 8000 DK 7000 Opponent NYJProj Points FD - 23.83 DK - 24.63 I get that he was a trash pile last week, but the same can be said of a number of different play-callers. Hurts didn’t get into the endzone through the air or on the ground. But this week, Hurts gets the gift of facing the Jets, the league’s worst defense overall in terms of DVOA. And they are equal opportunity bad, 30th against the pass and 31st against the run. From this perspective, there shouldn’t be much in the way of resistance when it comes to Hurts piling up points. I get that he’s been inefficient through the air, especially over the last couple of weeks, and that’s a problem especially with the passing touchdowns. But the good news is that Hurts has 55 or more rushing yards in each of the last six weeks. That makes up for a decent amount of the passing problems and I think on that end, this will be his easiest matchup in a while. Derek Carr FD 7500 DK 6000 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 20.72 DK - 21.44 If you are looking to save a little on DraftKings on this slate then Carr might be the way to go. Washington is a bottle defense, ranking 30th in DVOA against the pass, but 7th against the run. Carr is coming cheaper on DK all things considered though some of that is, for sure, on the performance. He’s got less than a 2:1 TD: INT rate on the season (17:9) even with the completion percentage still sitting around 67%. Being down Waller doesn’t help, but he should face little resistance from the Washington secondary. I think he’s a fine option for cash. Going the other way, I think Taylor Heinecke could be a solid DraftKings play in this matchup. Running Back There are a lot of viable running backs this week. In some ways, I almost wish we could play six RBs instead of some of the WRs out there. Let’s wade through some of the early value on this slate at the position. Elijah Mitchell FD 7600 DK 6000 Opponent SEAProj Points FD - 19.07 DK - 20.77 He came back last game with some question marks about how he’d be able to...

Philadelphia Eagles Stack Jalen Hurts FD 8400 DK 7300 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 22.32 DK - 23.03 Miles Sanders FD 6100 DK 5100 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 14.97 DK - 16.03 Doug mentioned both of these guys in his cash game article this week and not only do they give us a high floor and some projected safety, but they also provide a ton of upside. It starts with Hurts who hasn't been great with his arm(61%) but has more than made up for it with his legs averaging over 10 rushing attempts 56 yards per game which are both second to only Lamar Jackson. While the passing has been inconsistent, he has tallied five games with multiple passing touchdowns and did have two 300+ yard games earlier in the season. It's the run game where I think the biggest upside lies as the Giants rank 30th in DVOA vs the run and have yet to face a true rushing threat from the quarterback position. Pairing him with Sanders has the upside of 150+ rushing yards combined and it was nice to finally see something from Sanders who ran for 94 yards on just 16 carries last week(5.9 per rush). More good news as the price continues to sit in the low $5K range on DraftKings while he has the upside of a 6-7K back. If multi-entering and want multiple Eagles stacks this week, I love adding in some passing game action with Dallas Goedert and Devonta Smith. Goedert will be the chalkier option as Hurts top option lately and the Giants have struggled vs. tight ends recently. Contrarian Stack - Vikings Pass Game Kirk Cousins FD 7500 DK 6300 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 17.13 DK - 17.84 Justin Jefferson FD 8100 DK 8300 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 17.31 DK - 20.76 There is a lot of terrific pay-up options this week so if you are looking to leverage a bit and pivot to a lower owned stack, the Vikings pass game makes a lot of sense. First of all, I don't see Dalvin Cook getting...

Quarterbacks Jalen Hurts FD 8400 DK 7300 Opponent NYGProj Points FD - 22.32 DK - 23.04 There are some good quarterback options on this slate of games, but the way Hurts scores just makes him pretty safe on a week-in, week-out basis. His 114 rushing attempts are the most by any quarterback in the league with he and Lamar Jackson sitting in a league of their own in this stat. That ability to get out and scamper keeps the floor so high and the Eagles are completely committed to the run these days, keeping the ball on the ground for more than 50 attempts last week. Oh, and the Giants just happen to be terrible at stopping the run, ranking 30th in the league in defensive rushing DVOA. This is lining up to be a smash spot for Hurts. Cam Newton FD 8000 DK 5600 Opponent MIAProj Points FD - 19.31 DK - 20.08 Did it all look great for Cam last week? No. But from a fantasy perspective, we got what we were asking for out of his performance. He went 21-27 through the air for 189 yards and two touchdowns. And then he got going in the ground game as well, running the ball 10 times for 46 yards and another touchdown. The trips to the end zone might have been a little lucky, but the fact that they are designing this many runs for him makes him a cash play on DraftKings where the price only corrected slightly. The FanDuel price came up too much so I think he is kind of out of the conversation there. Running Backs Jonathan Taylor FD 9800 DK 9100 Opponent TBProj Points FD - 23.76 DK - 25.43 Look, the season he’s having is just utterly ridiculous at this point. His 286 DraftKings points are about 60 more than the next-closest running back (Ekeler) and he’s been on a near-historic pace over the last couple of weeks. Taylor has totaled 530 total yards in the last three weeks. That’s just unreal and he’s found the end zone six times in that stretch as well. The running back touches are now his alone, playing 83% of the snaps last week. The price is way up, and the TDs are probably an outlier, but it’s hard to compete with...
