DFS NFL Week 3 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/20/18
DFS NFL Week 3 Cash Game Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings 9/20/18 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis are back to the NFL podcast discussing this week’s cash game plays for FanDuel and DraftKings. Week 3 is when things really start to narrow down in the DFS landscape in that many plays have now seen their full price adjustment based on early season performance. The guys wade through some of the more interesting names like Jimmy Garoppolo against a sieve-like Chiefs’ defense and two guys coming off ACL injuries in Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson. They see Todd Gurley as the safest play (by far) on the day at running back and urge you to lock him into your 50/50 contests. They also look at some injury replacements at the position. They break down WR and TE as well for Week 3 on FanDuel and DraftKings. Subscribe to this podcast on...

We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo FD 7400 DK 6500 Opponent KC Proj Points FD - 19.51 DK - 20.49 To say Jimmy G’s first two games have failed to live up the end of the 2017 season hype train would be an understatement. He really struggled in Week 1 on the road against a very good Viking’s defense and Week 2 against the Lions saw the 49ers establishing the run in a game they led by 17 entering the 4th quarter. Prepare to see a shift in Week 3. For all of the Patrick Mahomes’ hype / KC offensive juggernaut, their defense has allowed an ungodly 860 yards through the air in the first two weeks. That’s 100 more yards than the next closest team (Tampa Bay). Sure, teams have been forced to play catch up against the Mahomes “Every single drive I get the ball I score a TD” offense. But the defense was bad last year (30th in DVOA) and really doesn’t look at all improved this year. Garoppolo completed 70% of his passes in Week 2 working his 18 completions to eight different receivers. He also threw for to touchdowns and had a drive *shortened* by a Matt Breida 66 yard run in the third. This game should script very well for Jimmy G in that he’s the QB with the second-most implied points as an underdog. Deshaun Watson FD 7700 DK 6100 Opponent NYG Proj Points FD - 21.28 DK - 22.39 Carson Wentz FD 7400 DK 6200 Opponent IND Proj Points FD - 20.93 DK - 21.79 All right, stay with me here for a second. I know both of these guys are basically less than a year removed from ACL surgery and Wentz is making his season debut after sitting out the first two games. But I think in both cases we could be looking at buy-low opportunities. Let’s start...

DFS NFL Podcast Week 2 Recap and Week 3 Preview for FanDuel and DraftKings - 9/18/18 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NFL podcast recapping a Week 2 for FanDuel and DraftKings and looking ahead at some early ideas for Week 3. They also spend some time at how little usage running backs got on the ground in Week 2. It makes for some interesting ideas going forward on who (if any) the *safe* running backs are from a usage standpoint. The list looks quite small. And then they wrap up with some of the receiving games we saw from Antonio Brown, Michael Thomas, the Vikings’ guys and more. Subscribe to this podcast on...

Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback - Ben Roethlisberger Primary Target - Antonio Brown Secondary Target - JuJu Smith-Schuster The first place I will be going this week is with the Steelers and Big Ben who is in line for a bounce-back performance after throwing three interceptions and losing two fumbles in a tie against the Browns. The weather was awful and while I am not trying to make excuses for a perceived elite offense, Big Ben did still throw for 335 yards. Looking at the Player Lab, I looked at teams in games with high totals(49+) who also have plus matchups against defenses that rank 25th or worse against the position. This spit out just two options this week and while I like both, I don't think the Saints will fall behind again and shouldn't have to throw as much. For the Steelers, they get a matchup against an electrifying offensive team in Kansas City but the issue with the Chiefs is the defense and this should lead to a very high scoring game on Sunday. They only produced one sack last week vs. the Chargers and allowed Rivers to throw for 424 yards and three touchdowns. While James Conner will be a popular running back choice this week as he got 100% touch share in week one, the Chiefs held Melvin Gordon to 64 yards on the ground but he did grab nine balls for 102 additional yards. I will have some exposure to Conner who did catch five of his six targets for 57 yards but my main target is obviously Antonio Brown who got a whopping 16 targets in week one, catching nine of them for 93 yards and...
