Quarterbacks Russell Wilson FD 8400 DK 7000 Opponent ATLProj Points FD - 21.63 DK - 21.86Wilson comes out of the gate playing in the game with the second-highest total (49) on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. He’ll get dome conditions against the Falcons who ranked 21st in defensive DVOA against the pass in 2019. Wilson threw for the sixth-most yards in the NFL last season despite attempting about 100 or more fewer passes than anyone else in the group above him. His passing yards and passing touchdowns per attempt were easily the best in the league. He loses Doug Baldwin, and the Seahawks still love to run the ball, but Wilson is just so damn efficient, throwing only five interceptions last season while ranking sixth in quarterback rushing yards. It will cost you, but he’s about as safe as it comes. Teddy Bridgewater FD 6800 DK 5900 Opponent LVProj Points FD - 18.59 DK - 19.25Bridgewater will take over behind center for the Panthers this season after Cam Newton and Kyle Allen have departed the team. Bridgewater walks into an advantageous situation with the best pass-catching running back in McCaffery along with a full complement of wide receiver weapons in DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel, and the newly-acquired Robby Anderson. Bridgewater started five games for the Saints last season in place of an injured Drew Brees and was effective, completing almost 70% of his passes with a 9:2 TD:INT rate. Sure, he has Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara there as well, but the accuracy has never been an issue even back to his time in Minnesota. This game has the fourth-highest total of the main slate with the Panthers 3-point home dogs to the Raiders. I love the price on Bridgewater here in what should be a close game. Carson Wentz FD 7700 DK 6300 Opponent WASProj Points FD - 19.59 DK - 20.02 Wentz has to be one of the most slept on quarterbacks in the NFL. Tennessee Titans (7.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (-7.5) Things started off rough for the Chiefs last week, falling down by three scores early to the Texans in a game that really looked like it was going to be completely out of hand and insurmountable. But you wouldn’t have known by the final score when the Chiefs put their foot on the freaking gas. They finished with 51 points in a game that looked out of hand in the other direction by the time things were said and done. This week they’ll host the surprise Titans in a game that should feel “easy” but that has been anything but the case with Tennessee. They are coming off two monster upsets on the road against the Patriots and Ravens, games it would have appeared they had no business winning. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! Minnesota Vikings (8) vs. New Orleans Saints (-8) The NFC part of the weekend kicks off on Sunday at 1PM EST with the Vikings and Saints. New Orleans comes in as eight-point home favorites, the biggest spread of the weekend. They won their last three games with the final one a destruction of the Carolina Panthers. The Vikings meanwhile lost their final two, though Week 17 doesn’t really count because they rested just about every relevant starter. Vikings It’s tough to find a ton of value on the Vikings side for this short slate. For starters, the running back situation is far from clear. Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison are both expected to play after sitting out the last two weeks. It was the Mike Boone “show” during that time, but he should head back to the bench. It’s tempting to project Cook for max snap share in this game considering the leverage situation and that makes him tempting. But New Orleans is a top-5 run defense this season and with the Vikings possibly trailing the running situation looks less enticing. Stefon Diggs led the team in targets (94) and yards (1,130) but should face Marshon Lattimore shadow coverage this week as the second-most expensive wideout on the Sunday FanDuel slate. And finally, Kirk Cousins could see a volume passing game if the Vikings are playing from behind, but from a fantasy perspective he ranks fourth of the four quarterbacks going on Sunday. Saints Alvin Kamara FD 8200 DK 7400 Opponent MIN Proj Points FD - 19.6 DK - 22.71 He’ll likely be the chalk running back of the weekend. After going through a 10-game touchdown drought, Kamara punched the ball in four times total over the final to weeks, including a goal line carry against the Titans in Week 16. He hasn’t been a volume runner on the ground this season, but his 6.9 targets per game were the second-best among running backs after Christian McCaffrey. Expect something like 20+ total touches in the game, one they’ve been likely “saving” Kamara for with decreased workload at times over the course of the season. Minnesota is a good defense, 9th against the run, but that’s to be expected at this point...
