Point Guard Chris Paul FD - $8400 DK - $8400Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 43.8 DK - 46.14 I’m a little worried about Paul coming on the second half of the back-to-back here, but he did see reduced minutes on Monday because the Suns were getting blown out by the Clippers. For the most part, Paul has seen an uptick in usage with Devin Booker out of the lineup and has taken 14+ shots in two of the last three games. And the assists remain elite with an average of 10 per game over the last five. This is an elite matchup against a Portland team that ranks as the fourth-worst defense in basketball this season. I don’t think Paul has been priced up enough for the matchup and the opportunity. Fred VanVleet FD - $8500 DK - $8600Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 42.27 DK - 45.94 The Raptors come in as 9-point road underdogs against Brooklyn on Thursday. But with such a small slate we are going to have to face blowout scenarios and be okay with it. VanVleet’s minutes are among the safest in the league right now, consistently running in the high 30’s when the game stays and close. And even though they are on the second half of the back-to-back, the Raptors blew out the Kings and didn’t have a ton of run on Monday. VanVleet is getting up about 16 shots per game and has shot the ball well from three, hitting about 39% from beyond the arc. The minutes at this price point are what make him a solid cash option and we hope Toronto can stay in this one. Shooting Guard Alec Burks FD - $5600 DK - $6300Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 31.62 DK - 33.55 Derrick Rose FD - $6200 DK - $5000Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 28.93 DK - 31.3 Burks is off the injury list for this game in one that the Knicks might be playing shorthanded. They are already without RJ Barrett for the game and Quentin Grimes, who started last game, is out due to Covid protocols. That is leaving the team a bit thin at...

Point Guard Jalen Brunson FD - $6300 DK - $5800 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 32.23 DK - 34.85 Luka Doncic is set to miss a second straight game with an ankle injury and that once again gives a huge boost to a few of the other Mavericks. We have a decent sample size to go off in this situation as Doncic has now missed five games this season and in that time Brunson has seen a 4% usage increase while averaging 38 fantasy points per game. He and the Mavs now get an elite matchup against the Hornets who rank dead last in defensive efficiency and run the third-fastest pace in the league. Fire up Brunson in all formats. Fred VanVleet FD - $8300 DK - $9000 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 41.85 DK - 45.43 The Raptors are in a great spot on Monday at home as 4.5 point favorites in a game with the second-highest total(220.5) on the slate. That total comes from the defense, or lack thereof, especially on the Sacramento side as they rank 26th in defensive efficiency and adding to that run a Top 5 pace. Despite some poor shooting in the short term(under 40% in five of his last 10), he is still provided value across the board averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game over his last 10. I would like the price to be about $500 lower but given the terrific matchup, I will still have exposure in all formats on both sites. Shooting Guard Cody Martin FD - $5200 DK - $6500 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 32.14 DK - 33.46 I am definitely higher on the Mavericks side of this potential close, high-scoring game but with LaMelo Ball and Ish Smith still on the C-19 list, we cannot ignore Cody Martin. He has filled nicely playing 40 minutes per game and contributing across the board with an average of 16 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 35 fantasy points per game. The price has corrected on DraftKings finally where he isn't a must-play but on FanDuel, he is still scraping the low $5K...

Point Guard Tyus Jones FD - $5800 DK - $6400Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 35.94 DK - 37.53 De'Anthony Melton FD - $5800 DK - $5100Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 37.84 DK - 38.26 Ja Morant who? The Grizzlies are 6-1 since their superstar went down with an injury and have scrapped out wins over teams who, at least in theory, should be much better than them. Now, they’ll get another scrappy team that’s putting up a fight recently as well. But the Rockets, for all their punch, remain one of the best DFS matchups around. Jones is averaging 11 points and more than seven assists per game over the last five and the minutes have been more consistent in the short-term as well. Getting up double-digit shots in two of the last three helps with the scoring and he’s had two or more steals in five of the last six. He’s a pretty easy play in this situation. Meanwhile, De’Anthony Melton got the starting nod on Thursday against the Lakers when the Grizzlies also lost Dillon Brooks. The latter is going to be out again this game so Melton should be running with the starting unit again. The fantasy points per minute weren’t as amazing for him in that game compared to his bench role, but I still think he’s a pretty easy play here once again. The DraftKings price is especially cheap for what he can provide when given the run. Shooting Guard Desmond Bane FD - $6600 DK - $7200Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 40.26 DK - 42.62 The second-year shooting guard has been something of a revelation for this team, especially as they keep losing players. Over the last four games, when Memphis has really needed offense, he’s taken 15 or more shots each time and is averaging 22 points per game in that stretch. He’s shot close to 50% from three in the short-term which is a little run hot, but this guy has just looked like an NBA scorer when given the chance. And he’s able to contribute across the box score as well. He’s averaging five rebounds and two steals over the last...

Point Guard Devonte' Graham FD - $5200 DK - $4900Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 28.98 DK - 31.62 The Pelicans are pretty short on ball-handlers right now with the news that they lost Kira Lewis for the season. While Lewis came off the bench, it is still something of a blow and should mean more minutes for Graham and backup Tomas Satoransky. Graham has played 30 or more minutes in regulation in each of the last five games, putting up double-digit scoring in four of the them. You’d like the shot volume to be a little higher here, but sharing the court with Ingram and Valanciunas is tough considering how the Pelicans run their offense. That being said, Detroit has the 24th-ranked defensive efficiency in the league this season and doesn’t offer much in the way of point of attack defense to begin with considering their backcourt unit. Cody Martin FD - $5000 DK - $5700Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 32.3 DK - 33.09 The Hornets are still completely undermanned thanks to about half of their team being on the Covid list right now, and that’s led to major minutes for the group of starters who remain. Martin has been one of those guys who’s been forced into more of a ball-handler role in the short term. He’s played 40+ minutes in each of the last two, averaging 13 points, four assists, and six rebounds in those games, both losses to the Sixers. This game will be a considerably easier matchup against the Kings. There’s a reason this game has (by far) the highest implied total of the slate at 228.5. Sacramento has a middling defense and runs the third-fastest pace in the league. Let’s fire Martin back up one more time before the rest of the team returns. Shooting Guard Kelly Oubre Jr. FD - $7400 DK - $7800Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 41.47 DK - 44.53 Oubre has been the primary beneficiary (fantasy-wise) of the rest of the Hornets team sitting games out because of Covid protocols. He’s played 39+ in each of the last three games and is averaging 28 points, three rebounds, and more than two...

Guards Donovan Mitchell FD - $8400 DK - $8800 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 41.37 DK - 45.26 Very small three-game slate tonight but it isn't short of some great DFS plays and that starts at point guard with Donovan Mitchell. The price is getting near its peak but definitely warranted as he has been very consistent in the short team. Over the last five games, Mitchell has averaged 31.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists which, for fantasy purposes, is an average of 47.4 DK/45.1 FD points per game. Looking at the season numbers, he also has the second-highest usage rate(33.2) of any player on this slate and gets a plus matchup as the 76ers rank 18th in defensive efficiency and are playing on back to back nights. Fire up Mitchell in all formats. Monte Morris FD - $5600 DK - $5400 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 26.38 DK - 28.9 For value at the point guard position, I will turn to Monte Morris who has also been a very consistent fantasy producer in the short term. Over his last six games, he has averaged 14.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and five assists per game which is good for 28 DK/27.4 FD points per game. The Spurs defense is also a bit of a mystery as they do rank 10th in defensive efficiency but rank 19th or worse in fantasy points when looking at a split of guards, forwards, and centers. Either way, this is a big pace-up matchup in a projected close game for the Nuggets which puts Morris in a great spot to hit and exceed his fantasy value once again tonight. I will have exposure in all formats. Derrick White FD - $7900 DK - $6300 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 29.44 DK - 31.07 This one is more for DraftKings as the price on FanDuel has reached a season-high and is nearly $8K! The good news for White here is that he has seen a nearly 5% increase in usage over the last eight games where he is putting up over 15 shots a game and averaging 17.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.8...
