That one was a bit weird because he was the only starter who got run through the crazy blowout in which the Hornets put up 158 points. But the floor is still high for Ball here no matter what and he will be facing a Lakers’ team that’s wanted to push the pace this season. The 228.5 total in this game is the second-highest of the slate and the Lakers could be without Anthony Davis in this one. Lebron James is questionable which could put LA in a really compromised situation. Russell Westbrook FD - $7800 DK - $8600Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 44.33 DK - 48.43 Oh, brother, what to do with this guy? It sure looks like Anthony Davis is going to sit on the back-to-back in this game and Lebron James is questionable. If the latter were to start then I think we could take Russ out of consideration. But Lebron sat on the front end of the back-to-back in a national game on Thursday. If it’s the Westbrook show then I think we basically have to risk it against the Hornets who’ve been flying up and down the court this season. At under $8K on FanDuel, we would probably just have to hold our collective noses and do it. Strongly consider Dejounte Murray (FD 9900 DK 10000) Shooting Guard Cade Cunningham FD - $7600 DK - $7700Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 38.02 DK - 41.51 Cade had seen a price dip over a couple of weeks stretch when he was struggling some in the fantasy department. That has turned around in a big way in the short term. He’s played 36 more minutes in each of the last three games and put up some monster lines including a 34 point, eight-rebound, eight assist performance against the Nuggets on Tuesday. He’s taken 23 or more shots in two of the last three games and is really rounding out into the first overall pick right...

After two large slates back-to-back, we are left with a much smaller two-gamer on Thursday so instead of going position by position I will be breaking down a few of my top plays from each game. Let's get started. Los Angeles Lakers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid FD - $11400 DK - $11400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 56.73 DK - 59.8 It is close between Embid and Bron for top payup on this small slate but with AD back for the Lakers, the decision to go with Embiid was much easier. The consistency and incredibly high floor are what draws me to him as he has averaged 34.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists since the start of January with an average of 59.2 DK/57.1 FD points per game. He leads all players on this slate with a massive 36.5% usage rate and is my top play in all formats. Tobias Harris FD - $8100 DK - $7300 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 37.04 DK - 39.89 If Embiid is my top raw points play then Harris is my top PTS/$ play in this game, at least on DraftKings. There were points of the season where Harris crept up into the $9K range on DraftKings so getting him at a low $7K price tag is a nice buy-low considering he has averaged just over 37 DK points per game since the start of the month. Matisse Thybulle FD - $4300 DK - $3600 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 18.84 DK - 17.02 We are going to need a couple of punt values on this small slate if we plan to roster any of the big names and Thybulle fits the bill. He returned from injury on Tuesday and wasn't limited at all playing 33 minutes and despite shooting just 1 for 5, still ended up with nearly 20 DK points which at his price is over 5x return. And we can roll guys up against them again. Trae is in a fantastic spot against the third-worst defense in the league running an above-average pace. He’s playing just about 36+ minutes right now and has scored at least 28 points in each of the last five games. With double-digit assists in two of the last four, there are clear signs that the fantasy production is all well and fine and the FanDuel price is a fairly easy call considering the context. Cole Anthony FD - $5300 DK - $6700Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 31.46 DK - 35.12 It can sometimes be tough, mentally, to play a dude when the short-term performance has looked bad. But those can also be the best times to do it. Because others are game log watching and missing some of the value. I think that’s the case with Anthony here whose price, especially on FanDuel, has really fallen of late. A lot of it is around the shooting which is way down from three and the field overall over the last month. Yes, the volume is down too with the Magic getting healthier. But there’s been an overcorrection with the price here thanks to some run bad overall. I am all for playing him on FanDuel and actually think his floor is pretty high on that price. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10200 DK - $11500Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 57.58 DK - 63.07 Harden is a bit hard to figure here. On the one hand, the Nets need every single thing out of him here and he’s coming off a 33 point, 11 assist, 12 rebounds game against the Lakers that more than paid the day. But then there are the 37 minutes a game he’s playing this season that rank second in the league (per game) to only Fred VanVleet who is now out with knee soreness. It would seem to make...

He just gets insane amounts of run every single game and the Raptors need it from a scoring and just general offensive organization standpoint. And that kind of opportunity lines up great with the opponent here on Tuesday with the Hornets offering one of the best DFS matchups around. They are in the bottom third in terms of defensive efficiency and play the second-fastest pace in the league. In addition to the minutes, the fantasy production is more than there for VanVleet who’s double-doubled (points and assists) in two of the last three games and is averaging 25 points and seven assists per game over the last month. The FanDuel price makes this a pretty easy call for cash games. Dejounte Murray FD - $10300 DK - $10000Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 53.9 DK - 55.95 Murray draws the best DFS matchup out there on Tuesday, facing a Houston team that is dead last in defensive efficiency and first overall in pace. There is no better combination for our daily fantasy purposes and Murray has as high a floor as anyone on this slate. That’s because he’s turned into one of the best fantasy guys out there, having a true breakout season on the statistical side of things. He’s nearly averaging a triple-double on the season with 19 points, nine rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game while also adding in two steals. The solid contribution across the stat line would make him appear an incredibly safe option here even with the five-figure price tag on both sites. Strongly consider Derrick White (FD 6900 DK 6000) on DraftKings. Shooting Guard James Harden FD - $10500 DK - $11700Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 59.57 DK - 64.94 Patty Mills FD - $5200 DK - $4900Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 25.7 DK - 28.8 This could be all James Harden tonight against the Lakers with the Nets missing both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving...

Point Guard Darius Garland FD - $8700 DK - $9300 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 38.97 DK - 43.23 With no real superstar player on this slate, we can go a bit more balanced with our build at one point guard that stands out is Garland. Sure, his price has is once again getting up there near a season-high but he has earned it averaging 20.9 points, 10.6 assists, and 44.8 DK/41.5 FD points per game over his last 10 games. The Knicks are a great matchup(13th in def eff, 30th in pace) but we have ourselves a small slate and Garland gets a ton of usage(20.4 shots per game last five) so I am not concerned and will have exposure in all formats. Chris Paul FD - $10300 DK - $8600 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 41.01 DK - 43.02 While FanDuel got a little small-slate, trigger happy with the price on Paul tonight, he is still very fairly priced on DraftKings especially considering how well he has been playing. The biggest thing has been the slight increase in usage as the assist machine has actually taken double-digit shot attempts in six straight and eight of his last nine games and has tallied a double-double in six of those games. Overall, this is a matchup between two Top 10 defenses but is expected to be the highest-scoring game on the slate and this is where my exposure starts, at least on DraftKings. Also Consider: Caris Levert(IND) if he is cleared to play as both Sabonis and Brogdon are out Shooting Guard Chris Duarte FD - $6700 DK - $6400 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 29.1 DK - 31.67 The biggest news on this slate comes out of Indiana where both Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis remain out of the lineup. This will lead to value throughout the rest of the lineup and it starts with Duarte who has started two straight and played 31+ minutes in four straight while averaging 19.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.
