Guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10000 DK - $9300 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 47.13 DK - 49.63 With Luka's price skyrocketing and Ja Morant doubtful for tonight, I am going with a little more balanced approach at the guard position and that starts with SGA. He has been a beast so far this season running a 32.6% usage rate taking 22 or more shots in every game while averaging 29.3 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.8 rebounds while also sitting second in the league in steals per game(2.5). For fantasy, he has provided us a 42-point floor with upside exceeding 60 points and while this is the lowest total on the slate, the Thunder are going to need him to help keep it close and the Mavs have been slightly below-average defensively(18th in def eff) this season. All things considered, SGA is a great play in all formats. Tyrese Haliburton FD - $8400 DK - $8300 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 36.85 DK - 39.79 We go from the lowest total on the slate to the highest but still have a little blowout risk here as the Pacers, who are likely going to tank the season, are 10.5-point dogs. I am no overly concerned for a couple of reason starting with the matchup as they face a Nets team that has been a disaster defensively to start the year ranking 29th in defensive efficiency and 29th in fantasy points to guards. That brings us to Haliburton who is, in my opinion, underpriced at the moment as he comes in with five straight double-doubles and averaging 23 points and 10.3 assists on the season. Like SGA, he has provided a 42-point fantasy floor but comes a $1000 cheaper on DraftKings and at an even bigger discount on FanDuel. I will most definitely have exposure in all formats. Tyus Jones FD - $4500 DK - $4700 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 27.44 DK - 29.77 Dillon Brooks FD - $5100 DK - $5100 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 21.33 DK - 23.85 Value is something we are searching for in DFS NBA right up until lock but today we are getting some nice and early as Ja Morant is doubtful to play this evening against the Jazz. The top beneficiary should be Tyus Jones who...

Anfernee Simons and Blazers without Lillard highlight DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Friday, October 28th

Point Guard Anfernee Simons FD - $7400 DK - $7100Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 35.34 DK - 39.23 Damian Lillard is going to be out for some weeks and the Blazers will now have to turn to the rest of the team to make up for it in the usage department. While bad for Dame and the team, it’s good for us from a fantasy perspective. Facing off against the Rockets, it means we are getting value in a bunch of places in this lineup. We got a glimpse of this last season when Simons, over the last couple of months averaged 24 points and six assists while he ran the whole show. This team is different now and it won’t all go his way, but he’s still underpriced on both sites considering Dame isn’t in the mix here. And he draws a great matchup in the Rockets. Dennis Smith Jr. FD - $6800 DK - $6300Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 40.2 DK - 40.55 With LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier out, the Hornets have needed to rely on Dennis Smith Jr, and from a fantasy perspective, the guy has delivered. Over the last two games, in the starting role, he’s averaging 16 points, eight rebounds, and 2.5 steals. That’s enough to get it done on his DraftKings price at least and he makes for another strong cash game play at point guard while the near-entirety of the Hornets’ backcourt remains out. Shooting Guard Josh Hart FD - $6500 DK - $6600Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 39.04 DK - 41.59 Shaedon Sharpe FD - $4200 DK - $4400Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 26.71 DK - 28.99 Speaking of the Blazers, we might be in a spot where we are stacking these guys even on a bigger slate of games. Josh Hart has been one of the fantasy surprises this season though it might not be in the areas you would think. Sure, the 11 points a game is nice, but it’s the 9.4 rebounds a game that’s really shocking. He’s putting in balanced lines and should see the usage tick up some here...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Thursday 10/27

Guards Ja Morant FD - $10600 DK - $10200 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 51.99 DK - 55.75 With Luka reaching the $12K mark on both sites, it makes it pretty easy to pivot to Morant, who is nearly $2K cheaper. Outside of the dud against Luka's Mavericks, Morant has been playing like an MVP shooting 56% from the field on elite usage(23.3 shots per game) while adding an average of eight assists and five rebounds in those games. He now gets an elite matchup against a Kings team that not only ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency but is also 6th in pace. With a monster total(237) in this game, I will be building around Morant in all formats. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $10300 DK - $9300 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 46.56 DK - 48.77 Tre Mann FD - $5400 DK - $5600 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 25.5 DK - 27.87 The Thunder are short-handed at the guard position with Giddey out of the lineup which has concentrated a lot of usage to these two players. That showed in their last game where they combined for 46 shots in a win against the Clippers. Let's start with SGA who was originally doubtful, then questionable, then starting with no restrictions in that game and went off for a 63-point fantasy game. He has been terrific to start the season with 20+ shots in all three games while adding a terrific mix of secondary scoring with 6.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.0 streals+blocks. With the price remaining under $10K on DraftKings, that is where I have the most interest tonight. For Mann, it was his second start of the season and first without Giddey which was the difference maker in the volume and overall performance. He not only dropped 25 points, he added four rebounds, four assists, and two steals to give us a ceiling game of 40 fantasy points. I don't think we get that ceiling game again but with a mid $5K price tag we don't need it, at least for cash games. Spencer Dinwiddie FD - $5000 DK - $5500 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 26.45 DK - 29.55 Speaking of mid $5K guards, we have Dinwiddie who benefited big time with Hardaway missing Tuesday's game as he saw a...

Luka Doncic, Bradley Beal, and Cheap Thunder Lead DraftKings and FanDuel NBA Picks – Tuesday, October 25th

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11200 DK - $11100Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 56.28 DK - 61.39 It’s only two games in, but it’s easy to see that Luka Doncic will be making a strong MVP case all season long. He’s averaging 34 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists right out of the gate, taking 23 shots per game and looking very much in shape this time around to start the year. He’s expensive on both sites but worth the pay up on this slate which will feature plenty of ways to save with a couple of teams resting key guys. He should be one of, if not the, highest-owned play on Tuesday. Tre Mann FD - $4800 DK - $5500Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 29.76 DK - 32.52 The Thunder are sitting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Josh Giddey in this game and have already firmly entered the tank for this season. It’s going to mean a whole season of games of not being able to really trust these plays for DFS purposes. But on a shorter slate, we have to roll the dice and make some decisions around the starters. Mann should draw the start at the point for OKC and has enough of a floor to play at these prices. But it might be closer than you’d think. He’ll need to see about 30 minutes and that could be a push based on how the Thunder are running things these days. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $7800 DK - $8400Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 43.5 DK - 47.09 The Wizards have started the season 2-1 and Beal has played well after sitting out the end of last season with an injury. His usage isn’t through the roof, taking about 16 shots per game, but he’s facilitating the offense and is averaging more than six assists per outing. The Wizards have the highest implied total of the slate and will likely have a couple of guys who are popular plays on Tuesday. Beal is one of them and the FanDuel price really makes things easy on that front. Devin Booker FD...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Monday 10/24

Guards Damian Lillard FD - $8800 DK - $9500 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 45.04 DK - 47.54 It took Lillard a game to get in the groove and he is most definitely there shooting 54% on 50 shots over the last two games, including half of those shots coming from behind the arc(44% from 3pt range). Despite this being a back-to-back, I don't see the elite usage going away giving him a very high floor and it's also a pace-up game against the Nuggets who have also struggled defensively giving up 117 or more points in all three of their games. After back-to-back 50 fantasy point performances, the price has not gone up which has Lillard in my core in all formats. Devin Vassell FD - $5800 DK - $5400 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 27.58 DK - 28.11 Despite the Spurs' 2-1 start, they still have one of the league's weakest rosters and are expected to be in tank mode this season. That doesn't mean we can't target them for DFS and Devin Vassel has actually been a terrific PTS/$ option so far. He is second in usage behind Keldon Johnson and has taken 14 or more shots in all three games and has shot 55% over the last two while returning over 7x value on both sites. The matchup doesn't jump off the page but both this game has the highest total on the slate, both teams are running Top 10 pace, and the T-Wolves are playing on a back-to-back.  Add it all up and Vassel is one of my favorite PTS/$ guards on Monday and in play in all formats. Terrence Ross FD - $5000 DK - $5700 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 19.64 DK - 20.84 Cole Anthony FD - $6000 DK - $6200 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 33.73 DK - 35.16 The Magic lost Jalen Suggs to an ankle sprain on Friday night and are now very shot-handed at the guard position with both Markelle Fultz and Gary Harris already out. Both Cole Anthony and Terrance Ross picked up the slack on Saturday playing 32 and 35 minutes respectively and that should continue for the foreseeable future. If that is the case, they are both a bit underpriced and if looking for safety, I lean toward...
