Pitchers Blake Snell FD 8300 DK 7800 Opponent - TOR (Hyun-Jin Ryu) Park - TORFD - 37.91 DK - 20.73 Snell enters the first day of the playoffs as the best money line favorite on the shorter slate. He was excellent in his 11 starts this season, striking out more than 11 batters per nine and keeping the xFIP at 3.06. There are still a few more walks than you like to see, but he’s a positive bargain on FanDuel as the sixth most expensive pitcher on the slate. The Blue Jays strike out 24% of the time against lefties this season though they did have a solid OPS in that split. That being said, with playoff teams we are looking for any edge because all of the matchups are rough. This is a good spot for Snell. Shane Bieber FD 11200 DK 9000 Opponent - NYY (Gerrit Cole) Park - NYYFD - 46.37 DK - 25.81 Bieber is second on this list only because of the price. Because every other number has been out of this world for the Indians’ ace this season. He led baseball in pitcher WAR, struck out more than 14 batters per inning and sported a 2.04 xFIP. Even when batters made contact (which wasn’t often) he induced a nearly 50% ground ball rate. Yes I get this is a terrible matchup against an excellent Yankees offense that finished 5th in team wOBA even with all of their injuries. But Bieber is also just the best pitcher in baseball right now and that’s always going to be a tough fade. Catcher/First Base Yasmani Grandal FD 2900 DK 4300 Opponent - OAK (Jesus Luzardo) Park - OAKFD - 9.72 DK - 7.21 Eloy Jiménez FD 3600 DK 4600 Opponent - OAK (Jesus Luzardo) Park - OAKFD - 9.71 DK - 7.39 It isn’t much, but the White Sox open with the third-highest implied run line on the slate against the lefty Luzardo. While a platoon neutral switch hitter for his career, Grandal was significantly better against lefties this season with a .905 OPS in around 40 plate appearances (I know, I know small sample size). But he should hit in the middle of the order and is reasonably priced on both sites. Meanwhile, Jimenez...

Raptors (3) vs. Celtics (-3) After the Raptors tied things up 2-2 in game four, game five was rather anticlimactic with the Celtics winning by an easy 22, 111-89. It was a disappointing turnaround for Toronto who never looked comfortable and were dispatched easily. They now face an elimination game and will likely pull out all of the stops. In a close game, we could see mid-40’s minutes out of Kyle Lowry (FD $8900 DK $8200), Fred Vanvleet (FD $7900 DK $7500), OG Anunoby (FD $6000 DK $5700) and Pascal Siakam (FD $8000 DK $7800). I basically just listed them in order of how safe I feel they are in cash. Lowry and VanVleet continued some shooting struggles and finished with 10 and 18 points respectively in game two. It’s been an up and down series for both. FVV is probably the better value of the two, but the shot has really struggled in this series. Anunoby gets enough done on the defensive side to keep the floor high and took the third-most shots on the team in game five with 11. He’s not cheap, but if you are just hedging down the middle with that tier of pricing then he’s a good play. I don’t trust Siakam at all in cash with the fantasy lines mostly trending the wrong way, but I also could see him playing almost the whole game. On the other side, the Celtics bring their own foursome who is sometimes tough to discern between in cash. Ranking them in order, I’d go Kemba Walker (FD $8300 DK $8100), Marcus Smart (FD $5700 DK $6500), Jayson Tatum (FD $9400 DK $9300) and Jaylen Brown (FD $7800 DK $7600) in that order for how I think they stack in terms of value. Walker has had an up and down series but is still averaging 20 points and six assists even with a little run bad on the three-point shooting. the usage rate is still there and he’s close to a lock on both sites when it comes to our system. Marcus Smart is averaging eight threes a game for the series and actually knocking them down at a...

Heat (-3.5) vs. Bucks (+3.5) The Bucks pulled off a surprise win on Sunday after Giannis went down with a sprained ankle early in the second quarter. The rest of the troops rallied to pull it out in overtime to avoid the sweep. You have to hand it to them for playing tough and keeping the series alive for another day. Of course, most of this short slate comes down to the Giannis Antetokounmpo (FD $10600 DK $11100) health. If he plays and is given the all-clear I think you could consider playing him. He put up almost 30 FanDuel points in just 11 minutes in game four and was well on his way to crushing value before the ankle thing. That being said, if he doesn’t play then we are looking at stacking the rest of the crew. Khris Middleton (FD $8000 DK $8600) would be a near 100% play if Giannis sits. The former took over the game on Sunday, dropping 36 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 48 minutes, leading the team with 28 shots. Eric Bledsoe (FD $5200 DK $6200) has been a play regardless and played 35 minutes in regulation last time out. He struggled from beyond the arc, going 0-6 from three and finished with only 14 points but did chip in 10 rebounds and six assists. And finally, Donte Divincenzo (FD $4500 DK $3500) would probably join the starting lineup seeing as how he and George Hill (FD $4800 DK $4400) picked up almost all of the non-Gianni minutes. Both would be excellent value plays on this slate. Like I said, we will likely be sweating this news right up until lock as he’s trending towards a true game-time decision. On the Heat side, Bam Adebayo (FD $8500 DK $8700) has had a fantastic series, averaging 38 minutes a game with 18 points, 14 rebounds and five assists per game. The price is still coming up, but at a weaker PF position (with Anthony Davis now a C) he is a very safe play. With Giannis off the court, the Heat were able to play Duncan Robinson (FD $5300 DK $4700) more minutes...

Celtics (-1) vs. Raptors (+1) After falling down 0-2 to start the series, the Raptors have clawed their way back in to it than’s the a buzzer beater on Thursday and another win on Saturday. We are now knotted up at two games apiece entering a pivotal game five. Toronto is unapologetically running four of their five starters huge, huge minutes with Pascal Siakam (FD $8400 DK $8100), Kyle Lowry (FD $9200 DK $8200) and Fred Vanvleet (FD $7900 DK $7800) all going 44 or more minutes in game four. There is such a fantastic fantasy floor when this is the case and it isn’t a new thing for the Raptors. They’ve done this much of the bubble and most of the year.VanVleet has gotten back on track with the shooting, going 5-11 from three in game four though only finished with 17 points. The 6-19 from the field held him back some and I do think there’s still some upside at his prices if he really dials it in for a games. Lowry also struggled some from the field going 5-16 in his 44 minutes but did knock down all eight free throws on his way to 22 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Stacking both him and VanVleet in the backcourt is probably something like the cash game chalk on this Monday slate. Siakam had his best game of the series and led the team in shots with 23. The three-point shooting was completely terrible (2-13) and honestly Toronto should feel a bit blessed that they won this game. Siakam is behind the other two guys (for me) in terms of cash game safety. On the flip side, Boston ran its own trio of Kemba Walker (FD $8300 DK $8000), Jayson Tatum (FD $9400 DK $9300) and Marcus Smart (FD $5700 DK $6500) more than 40 minutes in the last game. All three struggled to varying extents but for our purposes, we are simply interested in the minutes because the production, theoretically speaking, should follow suit. We’ve been on this path and I still think it’s mostly correct, but stacking 2-4 of these guys in cash feels like the...

Bucks (1) vs. Heat (-1) It's getting late early in the Heat/Bucks series, so much so that Vegas has flipped the line from Bucks -5 to Heat -1 in spite of the entire series being played on a neutral court. Does Vegas think the Bucks are just done here? Do the book makers think that Coach Bud will keep sleepwalking through the series with 35-36 minutes a game for Giannis and Middleton? Time will tell. Let's take a look at the DFS plays for this one. Will Coach Bud finally take off the training wheels for Giannis and Middleton? It's the million dollar question. You have to think that a sweep means the end of his term in Milwaukee, but he came right out and said that Giannis and Middleton are at their "max minutes." I nonetheless think that both of those guys are utterly playable. The must play from the Bucks has to be Brook Lopez (FD $5800 DK $5800), who played 38 minutes last game. He shot 17 times, and just looks indispensable to the Bucks right now. I also like Eric Bledsoe (FD $5200 DK $5600), who is playing 30 minutes but priced like he's playing 25. The Heat are looking overpriced as far as our projection system is concerned, with the entire world seemingly riding high on their incredible 7 game run in the playoffs so far. That being said, Jae Crowder (FD $5100 DK $5600) is still underpriced given that he is all of a sudden playing crunch time for the Heat, and Bam Adebayo (FD $8200 DK $8300) looks utterly unstoppable out there. I think there is even minutes upside as the Heat go to close this one out. Rockets (5.5) vs. Lakers (-5.5) Well that was somewhat surprising. The Rockets ran the Lakers starters off the floor in game one, and it's particularly scary for Lakers fans because they didn't even go off from three. They made 14 three pointers at a 35.9% clip, so there's significant room for growth in the area of the game where they are strongest. Honestly, things just looked hard for the Lakers offensively. They weren't getting the ball...
