Here's what James wrote about this matchup the other day, and given that Draymond Green wasn't suspended, it still holds true. Golden State Warriors at Oklahoma City Thunder Analysis The hay-makers in this series, my god. Westbrook and Durant responded to a game 2 drubbing by pitching simultaneous perfect games. 20-34 from the field, and 21-23 from the line. I'm still speechless. Is it possible that the Thunder had the highest ceiling of any team all along, because they have two guys that can put up games like this, and not just one? Now, as you can probably guess by now, this actually doesn't change our projections a whole heck of a lot. Minutes go haywire in blowouts, and the guys we figured would be good on a per-minute basis pretty much were. As for the worry about future blowouts, I suspect things will regulate somewhat and we'll get a high-speed thriller instead of a lopsided blowout. I don't blame you if you just want to grab as many pieces from this game as you can, since they're still pretty reasonably priced. Top Plays Stephen Curry - FD 9900 DK 10700 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 52.41 DK Proj. Pts - 56.83 Curry's final line looked generally crappy in game 3, but on a per-minute basis it wasn't a whole lot worse than what he'd been doing earlier in the series. If you think he's going to go 2 days listening to hot takes about how he might be the third best player in this series! then you're sorely mistaken. He's still very reasonably priced and should be a favorite to put up 5x+ points per dollar in this game. Klay Thompson - FD 7400 DK 7900 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 37.31 DK Proj. Pts - 41.42 The minutes are headed in the wrong direction here, but I think we saw what Golden State wants to do with Klay in game 1. 40+...

This is the same information that James wrote up yesterday as it still applies since Game 1 is tonight Toronto Raptors at the Cleveland Cavaliers Analysis Could these two teams be coming into this game with more different post-season experiences thus far? The Raptors have played fully 6 more games than the Cavaliers over the same stretch of time, and are missing their starting center. They've been in back to back rock fights, reserving really any good play until game 7 of the Heat series, when their guards finally went off. So am I crazy for saying I don't hate Toronto's chances to at least keep it close in these games? The Cavs are relatively weak when it comes to back-court defense, and the Raptors went out and got Demarre Carroll specifically for match-ups like LeBron. The Raptors shouldn't need to rely on Valanciunas' low post scoring here, and Biyombo is actually a welcome defensive presence down low for them here. Top Plays LeBron James - FD 9800 DK 10800 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 53.41 DK Proj. Pts - 55.54 LeBron nearly averaged a triple double in the last two games of the Hawks series, and while the Raptors play quite a bit more slowly than the Hawks, the Hawks make up for some of their fast play by having the 2nd highest defensive efficiency in the league. When healthy, Carroll is a tougher defender than anyone who guarded LeBron on the Hawks, but he isn't. I don't know that LeBron has huge upside here, but he seems awfully safe. Kyrie Irving - FD 7100 DK 8200 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 38.54 DK Proj. Pts - 40.66 Kevin Love - FD 7500 DK 8400 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 36.35 DK Proj. Pts - 38.79 The other two Cleveland stars are simply underpriced, here. The Raptors were the toughest match-up in the league for opposing point guards this season, but...

Oklahoma City Thunder at San Antonio Spurs Analysis Ok, the Thunder can't actually win this series, right? Or can they? I like many thought it more of a formality than a prediction that the Spurs would win this series, but that was before Oklahoma City seemed to find the recipe for hanging with San Antonio. Now I don't think you can bank on KD outscoring the entire Spurs team in the 4th, or Westbrook notching more assists than the entire Spurs team combined (something I'm sure Popovich was just giddy about), but the momentum in this series has definitely shifted in the Thunder's favor. I do expect San Antonio to play better tonight at home, but this game could really go either way. Top Plays Russell Westbrook - FD 11100 DK 11100 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 54.71 DK Proj. Pts - 56.59 Kevin Durant - FD 10100 DK 9500 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 43.92 DK Proj. Pts - 46.54 Steven Adams - FD 5200 DK 6100 Opponent - SAS FD Proj. Pts - 26.68 DK Proj. Pts - 27.16 For the Thunder we have the usual suspects, plus the surprise appearance of one Steven Adams, who has really been a nice surprise for fantasy owners willing to roster him in this series. Adams has seen 36+ minutes in each of his last 3 games, and it seems that he has pushed far ahead of Kanter and Ibaka in Billy Donovan's rotation. Not to mention the fact that Tim Duncan decided to retire early and not tell anyone, Adams is now frequently covered by either West or Diaw, both of whom he has a sizable height advantage over. I won't spend much time on Russ and KD because unless you're completely new to this whole NBA thing you know what these guys are capable of. Although he's more...

Indiana Pacers at Toronto Raptors Analysis The Pacers come into Toronto a little beat up but there's a chance the four days off for most of their guys gets them back to about 100%. Toronto on the other hand was able to rest a bunch of their key guys down the stretch and should be firing on all cylinders coming into this series. This first game (and the series in general) projects to be much lower scoring than any other matchup. The opening over/under at 195 is about ten points lower than the next lowest matchup. It makes sense. Indiana comes in as the third best team in defensive efficiency this season. Meanwhile Toronto was 11th and played at the second slowest pace in the league this year. It's going to be a grind it out series for sure. The Raptors are favorites to win, but not as much as a typical 2-7 matchup. Top Plays Paul George - FD 8800 DK 8400 Opponent - TOR FD Proj. Pts - 42.24 DK Proj. Pts - 44.84 It stands to reason that we'll see big minutes out of PG13 in this series. He's played limited run leading into the playoffs as he nursed some ailments. But dude should be good to go in this one. I suspect you see most of the offense run through him and the Pacers will need it. My only concern with him is that among the guys in his price range, he can pull disappearing acts from time-to-time and the Raptors defense is tough. Kyle Lowry...

Now let’s look at some news that’s come in throughout the day to see if anything’s changed in our minds or in the NBA landscape. It's a shorter slate and a light news day, but we'll be updating as stuff rolls in. Also throw out some ideas in the comments and we can take it from there. What We Know Alex Len is starting. Earl Watson has come out publicly and said the Suns are going to "try something new" with a twin-towers approach of Len and Chandler. Knowing this, Len is a must play until he's something like $6,000 on DraftKings and FanDuel. Love him tonight. Kobe is out, and we're bumping D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Brown, and Julius Randle Russell looks to be the biggest beneficiary, boasting a gaudy 27.8% usage with Bryant off the floor this season. Anthony Brown played 32 minutes in his first game back (with Kobe out), and Julius Randle sees a 10% usage bump as well with Kobe off the floor. Basically, this makes every Laker who you can project for reasonable playing time a nice play, since they'll spread around 30 minutes and 30% of the usage during those minutes. What We're Waiting to Know Stephen Curry - Will his ankle hold him out? Easily the biggest shoe to drop tonight, for obvious reasons. Redistributing 32% usage and 34 minutes is huge, and the primary Warriors benefactors will be Klay Thompson (whose usage rises to 30 with Curry off the court), and Shaun Livingston, who would likely play a starter's minutes. It has the domino effect of making the game a lot less likely to be a blowout, which is a boon to the projections of everyone involved. For now, I'm operating under the assumption that he's playing, but I'll be cautious until we...
