We've got you completely covered. Robbie Ray FD 11100 DK 13000 Opponent - SD (Lamet) Park - @SD FD - 39.72 DK - 26.11 This is the pivot from Chris Sale. With Sale having a few rough starts over the last month, I do think we see around 15% ownership on Ray. He deserves it, too. He has been great all season long with a .256 wOBA vs righties and a .277 against lefties. He strikes out just as many as Chris Sale (12 per 9) and walks 1 fewer. He's also on absolute fire over his last 4 games. Since the start of September, Ray has pitched 26 innings, accounting for 46 strikeouts!!! No, that is not a misprint. He's striking out guys at an insane clip right now and gets to walk into Petco Park, the largest ballpark in baseball. He's used to pitching in Chase Field, so it's about as big of an upgrade as you can have. The Padres have ranked 28th against lefties on the season with a .309 wOBA and 24% strikeout rate. RObbie Ray is a very good pitcher and there's a chance he outscores Chirs Sale on this slate. I presonally went with Sale in cash, but it wasn't easy. Jon Lester FD 8700 DK 9200 Opponent - TB (Snell) Park - @TB FD - 34.88 DK - 22.99 If you want to pay down just a bit for a guy who's far too cheap, Jon Lester fits the bill. We know the pitcher he morphs into with things on the line and it's playoff time for these Cubbies. They're hanging on to the division lead by a few games and can't afford to lose any to the lowly Rays. Lester has doinated lefties this year and struggled a bit against righties. He's also dealt with a .335 BABIP, which is tough for a guy that can't hold runners. The good thing with the Rays is that their speed comes from the left side and you can't steal 1st base. Lester has the ability to pitch a CGSO without anyone blinking an eye. His price is cheap...

We've got you completely covered. Houston Astros I really hope you didn't expect to see the Astros ignored here. When a team is possessing a 6.20 implied total in an average ballpark, you're bonkers to ignore it. It has only happened once or twice all season long. That's a number you see in Coors Field. However, James Shield is basically the walking Coors Field. He has allowed a .394 wOBA to lefties against a .354 against righties. He allowed nearly 3 HR's per 9 innings and has a hard time getting an ant out, let along MLB hitters. We know how lethal this Astros lineup is and the potential for an early exit is there. The White Sox have one of the worst bullpens in the game, so it could get very ugly, very fast. With Shields being a bit worse against lefties, Reddick is my favorite in the OF. He has the power to hit it out and is sandwiched between Altuve and Springer. Altuve is a must if you're ever stacking the Astros. The rest of the order is full of great bats against righties and I can't fault you for using any of them. The main point is to make sure you get exposure to this team. I would say this is the most confidence I've had in an offense all year long. Main Stack - Jose Altuve, Josh Reddick, Marwin Gonzalez, George Springer Sneaky Stack - Jose Altuve, Josh Reddick, Carlos Correa, Brian McCann St. Louis Cardinals Williams "Rookie" Davis has done his best James Shields impression thus far, giving up an insane .429 wOBA to both righties and lefties. He is young, and the small sample size should be considered. However, he wasn't great in the minors and the Reds aren't necessarily surprised by what they've seen. He might get better eventually, but I highly doubt it's in 2017. Davis has a long way to go and he now faces a Cardinals team that's used to hitting in Busch Stadium. Great American Ballpark is one of the 2 best in the league for HR's and actually slightly...

We've got you completely covered. Pitcher Clayton Kershaw FD 12100 DK 13700 Opponent - PHI (Pivetta) Park - @PHI FD - 45.03 DK - 29.68 We only have 7 games on the slate tonight, so there aren't many pitchers to choose from. The clear-cut top 2 options are both expensive, though you'll likely need to pay up for at least one of them in both cash games and tournaments. The first of which is Clayton Kershaw, who faces off with the Phillies in Citizens Bank Park. The Dodgers are insane -330 favorites, which you'll only see when an ace is on the mound against a bad pitcher. That's certainly the case here and to an extreme. The biggest concern with Kershaw recently has been the pitch count, but I'm not too worried. He saw 91 pitches in his last start and over 100 2 starts before. I definitely don't think you'll see more than 100-105, but don't worry about him getting pulled at 60 or 70. He's just as good as he's ever been and a .241 wOBA backed up by an 11.6 K/9 proves it. The Phillies are an atrocious offense and they have struck out 25.% of the time against lefties since the ASB. Kershaw is the clear cash game play and makes a lot of sense in tournaments, especially on 2 pitcher sites. The price is high, but you don't really have a choice. Patrick Corbin FD 9500 DK 9600 Opponent - SD (Perdomo) Park - @SD FD - 33.18 DK - 21.88 If you do want to pivot off of Kershaw, you're lucky enough to have a very solid option. Patrick Corbin has made a name for himself this year and has earned every bit of his high price tag. He gets THE ideal match-up for a lefty, against the Padres in pitcher-heaven Petco Park. The Padres are projected for just over 3 runs and the Phillies are the only team lower. Corbin's has struck out just over 10 batters per 9 and has allowed a 28% hard contact rate. A .286 combined wOBA is great and his troubles against righties have been muffled in the 2nd half. The Padres have ranked 2nd to last against lefties on the season and they K...

We've got you completely covered. Justin Verlander FD 10400 DK 11900 Opponent - SEA (Moore) Park - @HOUFD - 34.88 DK - 23.06 We touched on Corey Kluber and Garrett Richards in the main picks article, who remain our favorite 2 options with price included. Here we'll look at another 2 guys who deserve consideration in all formats. The first of which is Justin Verlander. With the playoffs just around the corner, we know what's going on in his head. He's a completely different pitcher during this time and you can almost chalk up 7 innings and 7 Ks before he takes the mound. They are the 2nd biggest favorite of the day at -230 and face off with a very weak Andrew Moore. The Mariners aren't a bad offense, but they also scare nobody. They have posted a .314 wOBA against righties since the break and strikeout at a 22.8% clip. Verlander on the other hand, has sported a 9.29 K/9 and has held a combined .286 wOBA. Verlander can be played in cash games as a pivot or in tournaments as an upside guy. Either way, he has appealed against a bad Mariners team at home in Houston. Jose Quintana FD 9000 DK 10400 Opponent - STL (Lynn) Park - @CHCFD - 32.11 DK - 21.21 Jose Quintana against the Cardinals is a bit riskier, but I also think the upside is higher. You don't necessarily want to pick on the Cardinals, but if you do, you gotta do it with a lefty. Even when they pack the lineup full of righties, it's a sub-optimal lineup with a lot guys that are here just for the sake of being "not bad" like the alternatives. Quintana is a quality pitcher and one hat will put bad hitters to sleep on a consistent basis. He's held a .265 wOBA since being traded to the Cubs and has struck out nearly 10 batters per 9 innings. This is an extremely important game for the Cubbies and you'll see Quintana stay in the game if he's pitching well. He will also be pulled early if he's...

We've got you completely covered. New York Yankees There are 2 teams on the day that hold an implied run total over 6 runs. One is the Rockies in Coors Field and the other is the Yankees. The Yanks face off with Ubaldo Jimenez, who has been absolutely horrible against both righties and lefties on the year. Against righties, a .351 wOBA and 11 homers in 72 innings. Against lefties, a .405 wOBA and 19 homers in just 62 innings. The fact of the matter is that he's good against exactly nobody and you can take both lefties and righties. Because of who this team is, I'm not leaving Sanchez or Judge out of my stack. They can hit 2 or 3 HR as a pair with ease and boost you to the top of the board. After those 2, I love Starlin Castro and Didi Gregorius. They are both at weaker positions and will be right in the heart of the lineup, with plenty of power to contribute. There isn't much else to say about Ubaldo Jimenez, who is very likely in his last season as a major leaguer. You just can't be this bad for more than a couple months without getting cut. All in all, the Yankees are going to put up at least 5 or 6 runs and it just comes down to who does the damage. Main Stack - Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Didi Gregorius, Starlin Castro Sneaky Stack - Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Matt Holliday, Greg Bird Detroit Tigers There's only one pitcher worse than Ubaldo Jimenez on this slate and his name is Dylan Covey. This is not shot at Covey, who could very well end up being decent down the road, but how in the world do you let a pitcher this awful get another start? And not MLB awful, he's has been pure garbage. You can toss any average A or AA guy out there and expect similar numbers. He has posted a combined .414 wOBA and has given up an insane 18 homers in just around 50 innings of work. It's hard...
