Kyle Hendricks FD 8600 DK 9400 Opponent - MIL (Suter) Park - @MILFD - 29.89 DK - 19.79 There are quite a few ways to go at pitcher on this early slate, and most of them were touched on in the main picks article. Kyle Hendricks is really the only guy left that's worth talking about. THe Brewers have the ability put some lefties in their lineup finally, but it hasn't turned into any production. They have still ranked 26th in the league against righties since the ASB and strikeout as much as anyone at 24.5%. Miller Park is a pretty average ballpark and much tougher for lefties to hit in. THe Cubs are still securing the division lead, so this game against the Brewers is absolutely crucial. Hendricks should see around 100 pitches and I do think he's pretty safe. I don't mind him in any format, but I'll get my exposure in cash games. His price is fair and I don't think many will be on him. I expect the Cubs to get to Brent Suter early and for the win to be up for grabs. Consider Hendricks if you're looking for a pivot. Chad Bettis FD 6200 DK 6700 Opponent - SD (Chacin) Park - @SDFD - 27.58 DK - 18.27 On this late slate, you can go a lot of different ways. I do think Strasburg is the top option and I'll have a lot of him in cash games. There is another guy I like, though, in San Diego. Chad Bettis is facing off with the Padres, who we know can be taken advantage of by righties. Bettis is way too cheap on both sites and I'm willing to play him in both formats. Bettis has definitely shown some struggles on the season, but most of them have been caused by the Coors Field elevation. He held a .334 wOBA against righties dating back to 2016 and has also struck out close to 9 batters per 9. They're favored to win this game and I think they will. Jhoulys Chacin struggles against lefties and...

We've got you completely covered. Chicago Cubs This early slate is a pretty interesting one. With 1 offense that stands above the rest, the ownership should be relatively spread out. FOr this spot in the stacks article, I considered 3 or 4 teams. I ended on the Cubs due to expected low ownership and their ability to hit left-handed pitching. They face Brent Suter, who's actually been very serviceable for the Brewers. He's been dominant against lefties, but has some holes against righties. He's allowed a .327 wOBA to them and has held a 1.5 HR/9. Miller Park is one of the friendliest parks in the game for righties and we know the Power the Cubs can bring. Kris Bryant is my top play in the order and probably my favorite play of the entire early slate. Willson Contreras and Anthony Rizzo are the next guys up. Contreras smashes lefties and Rizzo is actually just as good against them. Depending on the way the batting order goes, Ben Zobrist and Albert Almora are my next favorite. They are both very safe and should be good bet to get driven in by the Bryant's of the world. The Cubs are far from a slam dunk, but I don't think that's any different from any of these early games. Take a shot on a team with high upside that will likely be below 20% owned. Main Stack - Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist, Albert Almora Sneaky Stack - Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, Albert Almora Arizona Diamondbacks This one is pretty easy. We do have a lot of solid offenses on this main slate, but none compare to the match-up the Diamondbacks are seeing. First things first, Vegas is expecting 5.82 runs, which is by far the highest of the day. Dillon Peters is a 25-year-old lefty who is not at all ready for the major leagues. He's only pitched 20 innings so far and they were full of trouble. He wasn't great in the minor leagues and didn't show any real upside with an 8 K/9 and a 2 BB/9 in...

Pitcher Early Carlos Carrasco FD 10200 DK 12800 Opponent - SEA (Moore) Park - @SEAFD - 38.51 DK - 25.29 We've got split slate action here as we approach the final week of the season and boy is it ever split. The main slate has batters aplenty with some questionable pitching and the early slate has some nice arms with questionable bats. It's always a nice slate for pitching when Carlos Carrasco is included. He hit a season high in salary last time out and has come back down a bit following a four run outing against the Royals on the heels of a four game stretch where he allowed just two runs in 29 innings pitched. Another piece to this dominant Cleveland pitching staff, Carrasco is coming in just under 10 K/9 with a 3.35 xFIP which is ranked eleventh among qualified pitchers. Today he takes on a Seattle team that has lost six straight heading into this weekend series and while not eliminated just yet, have little hope of seeing the postseason. They don't strikeout a ton, just 20.5% of the time. As the largest favorite going today with an opening line of -210, Carrasco is an excellent cash option that can be used in tournaments as well. Charlie Morton FD 9200 DK 8700 Opponent - LAA (Norris) Park - @HOUFD - 32.26 DK - 21.39 Also on the early slate we have Charlie Morton, Morton's price has been slowly on the rise but I still think there's some value to be garnered here. Particularly against the Angels, who rank among the bottom third in baseball with a .316 team wOBA vs RHP. The Angels are another team that tend to be stingy with the strikeouts, 19.6% vs RHP, but like Carrasco above, Morton has a knack for exploiting a teams weakness at the plate and compiling K's with ease. Through his last six starts Morton has averaged 10.70 K/9 while holding opponents to two runs or fewer in all but two of those. Another solid favorite in Vegas, Morton has the luxury of throwing in the friendliest park in baseball against an Anaheim team on the outside looking in at the last wildcard spot. These two pair together nicely...

Minnesota Twins We're winding down, with just over a week left in the season, teams have about 10 games to go, while some knew weeks ago that their October calendar was going to be wide open, others are still fighting for their division, or even just the chance to sneak in as a wildcard. We're going to look at three teams tonight that are still fighting for something, and have the opportunity to do so against some questionable pitching. We'll start out with Minnesota. The Twins are in Detroit against the Tigers who already have tee times set for the first week of October. Daniel Norris returns to starting duties for the Tigers after a brief move to the bullpen. Norris has been less than impressive as a starter for Detroit picking up just four wins in 16 starts this season a 5.38 ERA and a 5.04 xFIP which ranks among the worst in the majors. To his credit he doesn't give up a ton of long balls, but a 1.67 WHIP tells us all we need to know about Norris. The Twins are clinging to the last wildcard spot and need every win they can get moving forward. Brian Dozier has been crushing lefties to the tune of a .419 wOBA this season, with five home runs hit this month and should be the center of any Twins stack. Top stacking options: Brian Dozier, Joe Mauer, Jorge Polanco, Eduardo Escobar Arizona Diamondbacks The Diamondbacks most likely will not be winning the west despite the September swoon of the Dodgers who have the division all but wrapped up despite playing so poorly in the final month of the season, but Arizona is still holding on to a solid lead in the top wildcard spot. They'll look to build on the lead with a weekend series at home against the Marlins. Like Daniel Norris above, Conley is just not an impressive pitcher and will be clearly outmatched against the likes of Paul Goldschmidt (.305/.410/.576 slash line) and A.J. Pollock (.363 wOBA vs LHP). Conley brings a 38.1% hard...

We've got you completely covered. Chris gave you Zack Greinke, Jon Gray, and Michael Wacha in the main picks article, here we are going to look at some solid GPP pivots you may want to consider. Rich Hill FD 9100 DK 9400 Opponent - SF (Samardzija) Park - @LADFD - 37.22 DK - 24.28 The Dodgers are hobbling into the postseason, going 6-15 in September, and just dropping three of four in Philly of all places, but now they've returned back to the west coast and will open a weekend series hosting the Giants who if you've been paying attention are one of the worst offenses in the game. San Francisco comes into tonight's contest with a .295 team wOBA regardless of the split which is ranked dead last in the majors. They've been hacking away down the stretch as well, striking out 22.5% of the time. This makes for a great time to buy in on Rich Hill. Hill, if you recall, had a no hitter going into the tenth against the Pirates last month until a bad pitch to Josh Harrison. He followed that up with back to back starts against Arizona, getting owned in Chase Field before dominating at home. Hill comes to the mound today with 10.79 K/9 and a .261 BABIP which keeps him ranked among some guys named Kluber and Kershaw. Trevor Bauer FD 8800 DK 9000 Opponent - SEA (Ramirez) Park - @SEAFD - 33.54 DK - 22.05 Unlike the Dodgers, the Indians have been steamrolling their way into the postseason. The Tribe have won 27 of their last 28 games, and though that sole loss came on Trevor Bauer's watch in his last start, we can't fault him one off outing, particularly when it comes on the heels of five straight quality starts, four of which garnered wins. Bauer will take to the hill in Safeco Field, one of the more favorable pitcher parks on the slate against the Mariners. Seattle has been the epitome of average this season with a .320 wOBA and 101 wRC+, they aren't the easiest team to target for strikeouts either,...
