Daily Fantasy Football Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 8 - 10/25/17 It's time for Week 8 and an odd one when looking at the main slate of games. Six teams are on byes, there's an early game in London and DK isn't counting the PIT/ DET game on Sunday night. That's going to make for one of the shorter NFL slates your likely to see and significantly reduces the player pool. But we can still find some value. Let's take a look at Week 8 NFL for FanDuel and DraftKings. We've got you completely covered. Quarterback Carson Wentz FD 7900 DK 7200 Opponent SF Proj Points FD - 21.31 DK - 22.23 The Eagles are firing on all cylinders right now and own the best record in football. That’s thank in very large part to Wentz who’s somewhat quietly become one of the top fantasy (and real) quarterbacks in the league. Wentz ranks 4th in quarterback fantasy points per game this season behind only Dak, Watson and Smith. He isn’t incredibly accurate (62% completion percentage) but has weapons at his disposal and has been content spreading the love around after his top target in Ertz. He also takes to the ground in a big way where he is third overall in quarterback rushing yards. The Eagles have the highest implied total on the week (30.25) against a bottom third pass defense in the 49ers. The price has come up, but completely into the upper tier yet. There’s some blowout risk (-13) which could impact his fantasy upside if Philly just takes to the ground to wind down the game. But on a shorter main slate Wentz comes in as the top option. Cam Newton FD 7800 DK 6600 Opponent TB Proj Points FD - 21.26 DK - 22.11 This isn’t a safe play by any means, but we have seen a price drop on Cam (rightfully so) over the last two weeks thanks to some subpar performances. He had two disastrous interceptions for pick 6’s in the first half on Sunday and they simply couldn’t sustain any drives. It’s been a tale of two Cams this season with his performances basically either amazing or awful. I like Wentz considerably more, but Cam has a great matchup against the Buc who rank dead last in defensive...

DFS NFL Talk Week 8 - Look Back at Week 7 and Ahead to Week 8 - 10/24/17 DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look back at Week 7 in the NFL to see how it some of the performances and injuries could affect projections going forward. Both Carson Palmer and Jay Cutler were injured, and while neither was all the good, it does stand to reason we see decreased fantasy performances from some of the key pass catchers like Larry Fitzgerald and Jarvis Landry. They talk about Mitch Trubisky's crazy low 7 passing attempts, where to rank the running back tiers with guys like Mark Ingram and Aaron Jones going forward and what to make of Amari Cooper's big week. All of this and more on a full Week 7 recap. Subscribe to this podcast on...

Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 – 10/22/17

Posted by on Oct 20, 2017 in featured, News, Weekly Fantasy Football Picks | 0 comments

Daily Fantasy Football Top Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings Week 7 - 10/22/17 Welcome back for another week of daily fantasy football. As we always do, let's take a look back and see how I did with my stack recommendations from last week. It started with rookie sensation Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. Gameflow did not dictate a lot of throwing as Kevin Hogan was a massive disappointment on the other side of the ball but Watson was still able to get his points by throwing three touchdowns despite being limited to 29 attempts and 225 yards. The lack of yardage hurt both DeAndre Hopkins(2 of 4 for 19 yards) and Will Fuller(2 of 5 for 62) but both ended up catching a touchdown pass from Watson to salvage the stack. Things got worse as my Charger stacks flopped in a big way as they played a very low scoring defensive battle with the Raiders last Sunday. Rivers was not bad, by any means, completing 25 of 36 passes for 268 yards and no interceptions but only threw for one touchdown on the day. He ended up targeting Keenan Allen nine times but unfortunately, he only caught five of those targets for 45 yards. It was sophomore tight end Hunter Henry having the biggest day catching five of his seven targets for 90 yards and due to the tight coverage to receivers, running back Melvin Gordon caught nine of a game-high 12 targets for 67 yards and Rivers' lone touchdown. Speaking of low-scoring games, my contrarian stack of the Steelers was also a flop last week. The lesson to learn here is that just because you like a wide receiver a ton on any given week it does not necessarily mean you need to stack him with the quarterback. This game was a perfect example as Antonio Brown went off once again catching eight of his 10 targets for 155 yards and a touchdown paying off his high price tag. Those yards made up over 50% of Big Ben's total(19/25 for 252) and was his only touchdown pass. The optimal stack in this game was pairing Brown and Le'Veon Bell who rushed 32 times for 179 yards and a touchdown. The combination fo the two was very expensive but would have made a nice separation in tournaments. Lesson learned. With all that we have learned from last, let's step into the top stacks for week 7 in the NFL. There’s a lot to look at here with some lower scoring implied totals coming in across the board. That could end up making for a lower scoring fantasy week in general. They discuss the option of stacking Dak and Zeke together on FanDuel and looking at some mid-tier wide receivers. They break down the implications if Demarco Murray were to sit in Tennessee as well as the difference between relative and actual usage for running backs. Other bigger topics include what to do with LeSean McCoy and Julio Jones, what tight ends stand out and some games to just completely avoid.
