We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Seattle Mariners vs. Mike Pelfrey (DET) The Seattle Mariners are my top stack of the night. They will be going up against right-hander Mike Pelfrey, who has just been awful this season. I'm going to start off by saying that he owns a 4.79 ERA that is backed up by a 5.37 SIERA. I honestly didn't think there could be regression for the right-hander, but apparently there is some heading his way (guess it's going to get even uglier for Pelfrey). He also owns a 1.70 WHIP and 1.6 K-BB%. It's been an ugly year for the 32-year-old, so stacking the Mariners is the way to go. Not only is the matchup a thing of beauty for Seattle bats, but they are also great offensively against right-handers. On the year, they own a 115 wRC+ (3rd in MLB), .338 wOBA (5th in MLB) and .183 ISO (8th in MLB). These guys have the ability to hit for power and score runs in bunches, so look for the to have a big night. Red Sox vs. Miguel Gonzalez (BOS) I know...

These are a few other guys you can consider for big tournaments, or in the 2nd pitcher slot on DraftKings. Julio Teheran FD 8500 DK 11600 Opponent - NYM (deGrom) Park - @NYM FD - 31.9 DK - 17.14 DeGrom is going to be a chalk play in many formats tonight, which opens us up for a perfect big tournament counter in Teheran. The Mets/Braves game has by far the lowest total of the day, and yes, much of that is due to the ace going for the Mets - but Teheran hasn't been a slouch this season himself. He also makes for an interesting test case when it comes to picking a big tournament pitcher. Yes, Teheran is running hot in both BABIP allowed (.221) and ERA (2.93 compared to his 3.94 xFIP), but this is actually helpful in making the case for him. Teheran's a fly ball pitcher, and while that means he gives up more than the occasional long-ball, he stands to allowed a lower BABIP than his ground-ball counter-parts. He's also striking out nearly a guy per inning, and is facing the team that has struck out at the 5th highest rate (23.5% of the time) against right handers in the majors this year. When we're looking for upside, we want to target guys who need to hit the highest peak of their upside, but who are in a position to do so if things break just right. Is Teheran likely to get the win? No, according to...

Daily Fantasy MLB Hitter Stacks for FanDuel and DraftKings- 6/19/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of the other stacking targets on this slate. We covered our system's top value plays in our daily picks article, but this article will target some specific teams you can target if you're trying to win a big tournament. We also have great talks in the comments of that article. Hope to see you there! Team Stack Targets Arizona Diamondbacks against Zach Eflin If you're saying "who?", no one will blame you here. Zach Eflin is a 22 year old non-prospect whose main major league level skill is keeping the ball near the strike zone. Unfortunately he doesn't pair his control with any swing and miss stuff, as his 4.65 K/9 in AAA last year will attest. You know who also pairs great control with totally hittable stuff? Batting practice pitchers. He got absolutely swamped in his first major league start, allowing a staggering 9 runs and 3 homers in 2 and 2/3 innings against the Blue Jays. Now, the Diamondbacks are considerably weaker against right handed pitching, but for Mr. Eflin, I think we'll make an exception. The key targets in this game are of course going to be Paul Goldschmidt and Jake Lamb, but you can also secure some sneaky upside by grabbing Jean Segura and Michael Bourn as well. Bourn will have a platoon advantage here, and Segura is (narrowly) a reverse platoon split guy for his career. You can also splash a little David Peralta if he returns from his back injury for the series finale. The Chicago Cubs vs. Jameson Taillon First things first - Taillon is NOT equivalent to the Zach Eflins and Eric Surkamps of the world. He's a legit prospect with a live arm who could give the Cubs a very bad day today. The problem for him? Well, those pesky Cubs. They're a killer offense with a lot of relatively affordable righty-crushing...

If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Personnel J.D. Matinez is on the 15-day DL with an elbow injury. Stephen Moya was recalled to the big leagues and will get the majority of the starts in the outfield. Jose Bautista is also headed to the 15-day DL with a toe strain. Eziquiel Carrera will get the majority of the starts in right-field and will hit leadoff. Adonis Garcia was out of the lineup on Friday, but is still considered day-to-day with an ankle injury. Nick Martinez will get the nod today against the Cardinals. Wade Miley is headed to the 15-day DL with a shoulder injury. Adrain Sampson will take his place in the rotation. Robbie Grossman and Trevor Plouffe are not in the Twins' starting lineup. Top Tournament Stack Blue Jays Gallardo has only pitched in 18 innings this season, as he's coming off a shoulder injury, but he has not look well at all. He's only struken out 10% of the batters he has faced, while walking 8% of them. He is pitching to contact, which is never a good thing, especially when you will be going up against a powerful Jays' lineup. It's going to take some time for him to find his groove and be able to be an effective pitcher in the big leagues, but until then, go ahead and stack the Blue Jays! These guys put on a show last night (scored 13 runs), will be going up against a tired bullpen and a banged up pitcher. Everything favors the Jays' in this matchup; so don't think to hard and just stack against Gallardo. The "Every Lineup" Guys Max Scherzer FD 11500 DK 13900 Opponent - SD (Rea) Park - @SDFD - 47.89 DK - 27.5 Max Scherzer is going up against the Padres. What more do I have to say? One of the most dominant pitchers in baseball will be going up against one of the worst offenses. This game...

Daily Fantasy MLB Long Ball Targets for FanDuel and DraftKings- 6/18/16 Welcome to our new daily article breaking down some of our top targets to go yard on this slate. Long Ball Targets Carlos Santana FD 4000 DK 5400 Opponent - CHW (Shields) Park - @CLEFD - 11.3 DK - 8.6 James Shields is on the bump for the White Sox today, so that means I am going to stack against him and build my lineup around my man, Carlos Santana. I know big game Shields was a starter you would pretty much roster on your daily teams every time he was going out on that hill, but that isn't the case anymore. He has just been awful, and ever since he was traded to the White Sox, it has only gotten worst. With that being said, Santana and his .220 ISO against right-handed pitchers, is my first long ball target on the day. Besides Shields' horrific start to the year -- left-handed bats have crushed him the past couple of seasons. Since 2015, they own a .379 wOBA to go along with a .516 SLG. They are hitting for a very high average and a ton of power, so watch out for the Indians' lefties, especially Carlos Santana. Nolan Arenado FD 4100 DK 4700 Opponent - MIA (Chen) Park - @MIAFD - 10.48 DK - 8.12 Unfortunately this game will be played at spacious Marlins Park rather than Coors Field, but I still love Nolan Arenado. Arenado will be going up against southpaw Wei-Yin Chen. Right-handed hitters own a 1.69 HR/9 to go along with a .496 SLG against him, since 2015. As you...
