What We Know Personnel Matt Carpenter suffered an oblique strain last night and will likely hit the shelf. Look for Kolten Wong and Jedd Gyrko to replace him on the diamond. Jean Segure was pulled out of last night's game with bruised triceps and is considered day-to-day as of now. Steve Clevenger is heading to the 60-day DL with a hand injury. Jemile Weeks is heading to the 60-day DL with a hamstring injury. Travis Shaw left Wednesday's game with a left foot contusion. He is considered day-to-day for now. Curt Casali suffered a head injury in yesterday's contest and is considered day-to-day as of now. Brandon Moss is heading to the 15-day DL with an ankle sprain. Randal Grichuk will get another opportunity in the big leagues Marco Estrada is placed on the 15-day DL with a back injury. Tajuan Walker is heading to the 15-day DL with a foot injurt. Matt Harvey is heading to the 15-day DL with shoulder issues. Top Tournament Stacks Rockies/Phillies Welcome back into our lives, Coors! We don't have a lot of great options on the bump today, but we do have a whole lot of stacks to attack! With that being said, we will be able to pay up for some bats tonight and what better stacks to grab on your roster than the Phillies and Rockies? Not only will this game be played at Coors, but it also has a 12.5 run total. Both pitchers on the mound (Chad Bettis and Adam Morgan) have struggled this season, so look for Coors Field to have some fireworks of their own tonight. Tigers Since 2015, Drew Hutchison has struggled mightily. He owns a 5.56 ERA to go along with a 4.52 FIP, which shows us that he's not a very good pitcher. Carlos Carrasco FD 10200 DK 11700 Opponent - DET (Sanchez) Park - @CLEFD - 36.48 DK - 23.9 After Madison Bumgarner, things get tricky if you play on two-pitcher sites or if you're looking a way to get away from the "chalk play" of the day. One route that I would strongly consider taking is Carlos Carrasco. He is one of the most dominant pitchers in the game today and will be going up against a Tigers' squad that strikes out quite a bit (22.4 K% 7th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers. I honestly think Carrasco has the highest ceiling on the night, so I'm all in on the 29-year-old for tournaments. Not only do the Tigers strikeout a ton, but Carrasco also does some fanning of his own. He is coming into this contest sporting a 25.4 K% to go along with a 1.06 WHIP. This guy is the real-deal and is the best option if you're looking to fade Bumgarner. Masahiro Tanaka FD 9000 DK 9900 Opponent - CHW (Rodon) Park - @CHWFD - 31.78 DK - 21.04 Looking for a cheaper SP2 option? Then I recommend going with Masahiro Tanaka. He will be pitching on the road today going up against the Chicago White Sox. Not only is this a good matchup for the Japanese phenom, but it also gives him a nice ballpark boost. Stacking in DFS MLB is such an important concept if you’re looking to take down a big tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings. It’s also a good way to diversify cash games because the variance in baseball can mean wild swings (ahem) in the scoring on a particular slate. The concept is easy. You want to pile players from one or two teams into your lineups because those guys compound scores by helping each other score runs when the going is good. Stack Targets Arizona Diamondbacks vs.Christian Friedrich (SD) The Arizona Diamondbacks will be going up against Christian Friedrich, who has allowed 14 ER in his last three outings (not a typo). He's been bad as of late and going from Petco Park to Chase Field is trouble awaiting to happen. Yes he has an ERA under four, but when you look at his peripherals: 4.77 xFIP and 7.1 K-BB%, that ERA is going to take a good hit. The Dbacks are in the middle of the pack when it comes to facing right-handed hitters. They might not be the best team offensively, but they have quite a few things in their favor: 1. Park. Chase Field is one of the friendliest parks to hitters. 2. This game has a 9.5 run total. This is like a game at Coors (run total is high) , so getting exposure to the Dbacks is a great option for tournaments. 3. Christian Friedrich owns a 5.02 ERA in his last five starts. He is coming into this contest sporting a 8.49 ERA that is backed up by a 5.46 FIP. Guess you could say his ERA will eventually drop, but a FIP over 5 suggests that he's been bad. His ERA and FIP aren't the only reasons why I will be stacking the Diamondbacks today. Another reason is the park. Perdomo will be moving from spacious Petco Park into hitter-friendly Chase Field, which is never a good thing. The Diamondbacks own a .426 SLG (9th in MLB) against right-handed pitchers, so look for them to do some damage against the young right-hander. Houston Astros vs. Wade Miley(SEA) The Astros four big bats (Evan Gattis, Jose Altuve, George Springer and Carlos Correa do some serious damage against southpaws, so getting some exposure to these guys is one route to take. They will be going up against Wade Miley, who has not had things go his way this season. He is coming into this contest sporting...

Then look no further -- Danny Salazar is your guy! Salazar has been great this season for the Tribe. He is coming into this contest sporting a 2.22 ERA that is backed up by a 3.13 FIP. I know he isn't talked about much around the league, but this kid is good. His ERA and FIP are very attractive, but what sticks out to me is his K%. He owns a 28.5 K%, so we all know what that means -- UPSIDE! It's never easy to go against the Tigers, but I love the matchup for Salazar. Yes, the Tigers are one of the best teams in the league against right-handed pitchers (9th in MLB in wOBA), but they also strikeout a ton. They own a 22.4 K% (9th in MLB), which is why I love Salazar. Sure this matchup has some risk, but he has the highest ceiling on the night and he's been one of the most dominant pitchers in the game today. Carlos Martinez FD 8900 DK 8900 Opponent - PIT (Niese) Park - @STLFD - 34.8 DK - 22.75 Carlos Martinez against the Pirates? That doesn't sound too appealing when you first hear it, but there is a lot to like when you dig deeper. First and foremost, you have to love his price tag. 8K...
