Sure, he’s pushing up to around $13K but does it really even matter? There is going to be so much savings elsewhere that it won’t be any issue at all to fit his salary in. The Wizards still have a chance to move up to the 8th seed so they will be going for it here and Westbrook has been other-worldly all season, but especially with Bradley Beal out of the mix. Over his last seven games, he’s averaging 27 points, 17 assists, and 15 rebounds per game. You read those stats right. This is unreal and he’ll be a total lock on Friday. Luka Doncic FD - $10100 DK - $10800Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 53.3 DK - 56.07 With so many of the big money guys likely to sit on Friday, we are probably looking at paying up for both Westbrook and Doncic here. The Mavericks are still in win-now mode with the team fighting to keep the 5th or 6th seed and stay out of the play-in game. That should keep Doncic in the starting lineup and playing a lot of minutes if the game remains close. That could be a stretch with Toronto putting out a skeleton crew once again, but we have to take the risk. Doncic’s minutes have been lower of late but that’s because the Mavs have played in an inordinate number of blowouts. It could be the case again, but we know Doncic has triple-double upside if the run is there. The floor and ceiling are both outrageous against the Timberwolves, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season. Malachi Flynn FD - $5500 DK - $5700 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 28.65 DK - 29.07 With basically the entire Raptors team ruled out for Thursday, we get the chance to run Malachi Flynn as close to a one-man band. He's paid nearly 6x points per dollar in each of his last two games, and the Raptors are even thinner tonight than they were then. It's a league-average match-up, but this is a straight-up price and opportunity mismatch that we're happy to take advantage of. Also considered: Ben Simmons. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $7500 DK - $8300 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 45.19 DK - 47.31 Now if this isn't a marquee match-up, I'm not sure what is. The Trail Blazers are battling tooth and nail to stay out of the play-in game, and the Suns are battling for the #1 seed. Great stuff. Booker has been solid on these prices all season, and has been cresting toward 39-40 minute rotations as the Suns stay hungry down the stretch. Portland, meanwhile, will be on the second half of a back-to-back after facing the actual #1 seed Jazz on Wednesday. I love Booker as a cash game option here. There's a lot to discuss, though, so let's go ahead and get into it. We say that because he's a triple-double machine, recording one in five straight games. That looks good on the surface, but it's even more absurd when you see that he's got at least 80 DraftKings points in four of those. It doesn't matter what you pay; if you get 80 fantasy points from anyone, you tally up the dough. One of those happened to come against these Hawks, collecting 28 points, 13 rebounds, and 21 assists in that gem. That's really no surprise when you see that Atlanta owns a 25th OPRK against opposing PGs and that Washington is playing without Bradley Beal. Trae Young FD - $8500 DK - $9100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 45.75 DK - 48.49 It's hard to understand this pricing. Young is one of the best players in fantasy, and he has one of the best matchups possible here. Let's start by talking about that, with the Wizards playing at the fastest pace in the NBA while surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards. That's no surprise when you see that Trae has at least 54 fantasy points in their first two meetings. That's usually the production you'd see from an $11,000 player, and it's crazy that a guy this talented is sitting around $9K on both sites. If you can squeeze these two in with some value plays, you should be ahead of the pack as long as this game stays competitive. Don't forget about Raul Neto in this game with Beal out. That means Hayes should handle the ball on every possession and play somewhere between 30-40 minutes. He actually got a somewhat rare start in their most recent game, collecting 21 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists across 38 minutes of action. That's hard to overlook from a guy sitting around $5K, especially with Minnesota ranked 28th in total defense while surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing PGs. Malachi Flynn FD - $5000 DK - $5300 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 29.16 DK - 29.62 The Raptors have also treated us with an injury report, and it's definitely in Flynn's favor. They've already ruled out Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and Pascal Siakam, leaving Flynn with the starting point guard job. At the beginning of April, he actually had the same role, averaging 32 DraftKings points per game in a 10-game stretch in that expanded role. That's a pretty ridiculous total from a $5K player, and it could be even better here with all that usage and production out of the lineup. It's also going to guarantee him 30-plus minutes no matter what this game looks like, so blowout potential is not really a concern either. Atlanta is a bottom 10 defense this season, and Westbrook should have no problem putting up his typically huge numbers. Did I mention that Beal has already been ruled out? Yeah, this is a "Westbrook everywhere" situation. Trae Young FD - $8400 DK - $9300 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 45.75 DK - 48.49 While Russ has been fantastic offensively recently, the Wizards remain an all-world match-up for opposing DFS studs. They've allowed the fifth most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season, and have allowed a minimum of 125 points in their last 5 games. Young is playing 35+ minute rotations, and the amount of extra possessions in this game should give him a fantastic floor for cash games. Don't sleep on Raul Neto with Beal already ruled out of this one. Shooting Guard C.J. McCollum FD - $7600 DK - $7800 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 42.96 DK - 44.24 McCollum is a well-known commodity at this point, averaging almost exactly 5x points per dollar on these prices on relatively consistent opportunity this season. We'd be intrigued by McCollum in even a normal match-up, but this one is anything but. The Rockets have been the very most generous teams to opposing shooting guards this season, allowing a league-leading 45.1 FanDuel points a game to them. I love McCollum in the mid-tier price range today.
