Point Guard Marcus Smart FD - $5900 DK - $7200Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 28.58 DK - 28.26 With Jayson Tatum already out and a bunch of other Celtics players staring down the idea of sitting under Covid protocols, this is going to probably be a good spot for Smart. He’s been solid, if unspectacular from a fantasy perspective this season averaging 12 points and six assists per game with some defensive stats thrown in there to round things out. He’ll never be a high usage guy in any iteration of the Celtics’ offense, but he does have a high floor if the Boston big buys are out in this game. Elfrid Payton FD - $5500 DK - $6500Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 35.33 DK - 36.52 Payton is coming off a disappointing game last time out against the Thunder on Friday, finishing with just 16 points and six rebounds. It was a rough performance from a guy who’s been setting a pretty high floor of late. This could be a chance to bounce back against a Denver team ranking 28th in defensive efficiency this season. They play at a slower pace which mitigates some of the fantasy gains from their matador D, but this is still a fine spot for Payton. I much prefer the FanDuel price sitting in the mid-$5K range. Shooting Guard Jaylen Brown FD - $8300 DK - $9100Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 45.97 DK - 46.64 This is obviously assuming he plays on Sunday. Jayson Tatum has already been ruled out for this game leaving a ton of usage to go around. If Brown plays, he’s likely the total chalk based on the implied usage and just how awesome he’s been anyway. He’s averaging 26 points and six rebounds on 35 minutes per game while shooting 42% from three. If Tatum were to miss then the crazy usage would only rise here in this matchup. Jordan Clarkson FD - $5300 DK - $5600Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 28.25 DK - 29.05 Joe Ingles sat out on Friday night and that opened up a lot of 6th man/ bench units for Clarkson. He most-definitely...

Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11600 DK - $11000Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 57.39 DK - 61.33 Trey Burke FD - $4100 DK - $3000Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 23.52 DK - 24.1 The Mavericks are going to be without some dudes on Saturday, losing Doran-Finney Smith, Jalen Brunson and Josh Richardson to health protocols. That leaves them pretty thin and likely makes Luka an extra safe play on this slate. He’s having another unbelievable statistical season averaging 33 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists on the season. His two areas of struggle which could point to these numbers actually going higher are the 20% three-point shooting and the seven turnovers per game. Both of those are likely headed for a little bit of positive regression. Meanwhile, Trey Burke should draw the start or at minimum see 20+ minutes off the bench in a reserve role with home much the Mavs have lost in the backcourt. His per 30-minute stats this season are around 12 points three assists and three rebounds. Not all that impressive but he likely sees a second unit usage bump. At the minimum on DraftKings, he’s a cash game play with the current state of the Mavs. Dejounte Murray FD - $7100 DK - $6900Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 35.78 DK - 36.24 Murray is finally getting steady, starters minutes after being shuffled all around with run last season. He’s getting about 32 minutes per game and the usage is up, getting close to 15 shots per game. He’s consistently getting on the boards with seven rebounds while also adding in five assists. Where he’s struggling is beyond the arc, shooting under 30% after going 37% from three last season. I think this is still a buy spot on Murray in a great matchup against a terrible Minnesota defense. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $10100 DK - $9700Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 54.16 DK - 55.29 Russell Westbrook hasn’t played a back-to-back yet this season and it doesn’t look like he will on Saturday either. That being said, I suppose there’s some chance for it if the Wizards are getting a...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Friday, 1/8/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Friday, 1/8/21 Thursday's slate was another crazy one, with Kyrie Irving sitting out and Collin Sexton getting scratched at the last minute. Those sorts of things have become way too common in today's NBA and keeping your eye on the news is just as important as setting a good lineup. The good news is that we have a much deeper player pool here, with 10 games on the slate. So, let's break it down! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Elfrid Payton FD - $5500 DK - $6500 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 33.09 DK - 33.98 Payton has been an underrated fantasy asset throughout his career and it's a wonder why he's just $5,500 on FanDuel still. Anybody who starts for Tom Thibideau needs to be taken into consideration because of his distribution of minutes (or lack thereof) and that certainly means his starting point guard is in play. Since struggling in the first two games of the season, Payton is averaging 33 DraftKings points per game across 32.2 minutes of action. More importantly, he's averaging 15.5 shots and 6.0 assists, showing just how much he's handling the ball. We certainly don't mind the matchup against a lackluster Oklahoma City roster either. Cole Anthony FD - $5000 DK - $5000 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 30.31 DK - 31.04 With Markelle Fultz (ACL) missing the remainder of the season, Anthony should be forced into big minutes and a starting role. That alone makes him a good value, particularly when you take into consideration that he averages 20.2 DK points per game in 21 minutes per outing. That means we could be looking at a 30-point average if he plays the 30 minutes we anticipate and that'd be a huge mark from a $5K player. The thing that really adds to his value here is the matchup though, with Houston ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency. LaMelo Ball has been great in his rookie season and it's just a matter of time before he takes DeVonte Graham's job. Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $10100 DK - $9700 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 55.31 DK - 56.9 If Russell Westbrook (finger) misses...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Thursday, 1/7/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Thursday, 1/7/21 The 11-game slate on Wednesday was completely nuts. The player pool was so big, that it made it tough to make the perfect lineup. In any case, it was a solid night with recommendations like Domantas Sabonis, Elfrid Payton, and Clint Capela. This Thursday slate is much more manageable though, with only five games on the ledger. These are my favorite types of nights for the NBA because there's enough diversity in the player pool while not being too overwhelming. With that in mind, let's get into it! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $10000 DK - $9600 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 58.08 DK - 60.29 If the first game without Kevin Durant is any indication, Irving is about to be a freak for the next week. On Tuesday without him, Irving provided 29 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, doing that damage in just three quarters of action. That's still 50 fantasy points and he was well on his way to 60 or 70 if that game stayed competitive. That should certainly be the case here, with the Sixers entering this matchup as a 2.5-point favorite. What we really like is that he took 19 shots and posted a 31 percent usage rate which is likely his floor in this expanded role. Just keep using Irving as long as KD is out. Tyus Jones FD - $5400 DK - $5600 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 27.11 DK - 25.93 Jones has been starting at point guard ever since Ja Morant went down and he's been doing better than this price would indicate. In the five games since Morant's injury, Jones has scored at least 25 DraftKings points in four of them, averaging over 26 DK points per game. That doesn't sound too dominant but it's a really good floor from a player sitting in the mid-$5,000s. What adds to his intrigue here is the matchup, facing a Cleveland backcourt without Darius Garland and Dante Exum. We're also looking at a 4.5-point spread and that should force Jones into at least 30 minutes in what should be a close game. Dejounte Murray is a...
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks – Tuesday, 1/5/21
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Tuesday, 1/5/21 Monday's slate was very annoying. Not only did Delon Wright barely play as one of my favorite values, Dante Exum also played just one minute after suffering an injury. That's just the craziness of NBA DFS and it happens to all of us at one point or another. We're ready to bounce-back here though, so, let's get into this Tuesday slate! Head on over a for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer and NHL Projections as well. Plus our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $9700 DK - $9300 Opponent - UTA Proj Pts FD - 54.3 DK - 56.23 With Kevin Durant expected to miss a week of action, Irving might be the favorite for Eastern Conference Player of the Week. We say that because Irving's usage should be monstrous in the absence of KD. That's certainly been the case this year, with Irving posting a 33 percent usage rate with him off the floor while averaging 1.73 DK points per minute. That's one of the best rates you'll see, equating to 60.6 DK points if Irving plays the 35 minutes we expect. That's really not that far off of his production with KD, averaging 45.4 fantasy points per game anyway. Mike Conley FD - $7000 DK - $6900 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 35.11 DK - 37.08 Many people wrote off Conley after a disappointing debut season with the Jazz but he's returned to his All-Star form this year. In fact, Conley has at least 33 DraftKings points in four of six games this season, en route to a 36.3-point average. That means Conley's price is still about $500 below where it should be and it's clear that these sites haven't taken notice of his return to form. Getting to face Brooklyn isn't too bad of a matchup either, with the Nets sitting fifth in pace and 17th in points allowed. Jamal Murray just went off against Minnesota on Sunday and we like him in the same matchup today. Shooting Guard Zach LaVine FD - $8100 DK - $8000 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 43.82 DK - 45.23 While Portland's backcourt is astounding on the offensive side of the floor, they can definitely be exploited on the other end. That was certainly the...
