This week the Scottish Open returns to Castle Stuart Golf Links where it hosted this event in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Phil Mickelson was the last winner here back in 2013 right before he went on to win the Open Championship and become the first player to do so. The course is a beautiful Links style golf course that overlooks the Moray Firth coastal landscape. At Par 72, 7,193 yards the length won't scare the shorter hitters but I always feel that distance can give you an advantage, especially if you are efficient in Total Driving as well(see Dustin Johnson's season!!). On any links course a players sand game, scrambling and putting will prove to be very important. With the cancellation of the Greenbrier Classic due to flooding, this weeks field is very strong with a ton of top tier options and a great mix of mid range and low end value giving us many options for roster construction this week.
