DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast – Week 14 Recap and Week 15 Sneak Peek for FanDuel and DraftKings 12/13/16
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NFL Podcast - Week 14 Recap and Week 15 Sneak Peek for FanDuel and DraftKings 12/13/16 DFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look back at Week 14 in the NFL. The big news coming out of this week was of course that DFSR premium user amorris525 won the Million Dollar Prize in the DraftKings Millionaire Maker. We couldn't be more excited about this win for one of DFSR's own. What a Sunday. After gushing about that, they talk about a Week 14 now in the books. They discuss how weather played a factor in both the projections leading up into Sunday and how it effected the performances of certain players. David Johnson certainly fell victim to the heavy rain in Miami while the frozen tundra in Lambeau didn't slow down Aaron Rodgers much. They also take a look ahead at some possible running back value with injuries cropping up for Melvin Gordon and Matt Forte leaving Kenneth Farrow and Bilal Powell with the workloads. Point Guards Russell Westbrook FD - $12600 DK - $12700 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 62.17 DK - 66.01 One day the price will reach such a point that we simply won't be able to play him and honestly, we are probably getting close to that number now. Without at least a couple of punts he's so tough to roster on DraftKings and FanDuel you definitely need things to break right as well. But man, he's just about the toughest guy in DFS to fade when he's out on the court and this should be an up and down matchup. The Blazers allow more than average scoring to opposing point guards thanks to Lillard being more an offense-first PG. Westbrook is what he is at this point: a triple-double machine who scores fantasy points in nearly every imaginable way. Again, it's getting tougher and tougher to play him him as the price increases, but if some cheaper plays come in then he's the guy to buy. Kyrie Irving FD - $7000 DK - $7200 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 34.9 DK - 37.3 Uncle Drew's price just continues to drop, and drop and drop. And I (sort of) get why. He's barely hitting 5x on these prices on his best nights and significantly underperforming on his worst. One reason is he's because so scoring dependent to hit his value with most of the offense running through Lebron. Kyrie was never a big assist to begin with and the numbers have dropped even more this season. But again, so has the price and in a game against Memphis I do think he has a floor at these salaries. I don't suspect he's a popular play tonight because the matchup looks slow and the game could be a blowout. But I'm making a price call on Kyrie here. Rajon Rondo FD - $6000 DK - $5900 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 29.55 DK - 31.98 Looking at Rondo's game log is the very definition of 'peaks and valleys'. He's put up some huge games only to come back only to throw in performances like his ones against Dallas and Detroit where he scored 18.5 total fantasy points combined. Maybe he was...

What We Know Jeremy Lin expects to play against the Rockets, but will be on a minutes restriction Lin has been out for quite a while now, and I expect him to be eased in very slowly. Though there has been no official word on how many minutes he will play, I expect it to be around 15 minutes to start. Isaiah Whitehead will likely lose the most minutes, and I still like Kilpatrick as the lead guard on this team. Dion Waiters and Justise Winslow will remain out against the Wizards Waiters and Winslow have also been out for a while, and will remain so tonight. Dragic and Whiteside will continue to do the heavy lifting, and the role players will continue to play 30 minutes and put up decent numbers. The Wizards are a fast paced team and give up plenty of peripherals. What We're Waiting to Know Blake Griffin is questionable to play, but expected to play Griffin is probably going to play here, as it looked like last game was just rest. If he does miss this game for some reason, Speights and Brandon Bass will pick up some minutes. Speights had a good game last time out and would make for an interesting tournament option. Wilson Chandler is officially questionable against the Mavericks Chandler has been a big part of the offense as of late, so his absence would leave some opportunity. If he does miss the game, Gallinari would have his minutes secured and Will Barton will pick up a few as well. With that being said, the Mavericks play slow and it isn't a great match up for Gallinari with Barnes at the 3. James Johnson and Luke Babbitt are questionable against the Wizards Johnson and Babbitt just stack on the already horrible injuries that the Heat have been going through. If both play, everyone outside of Dragic, Johnson and Whiteside would lose interest. If both are out,...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 12/12/16
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 12/12/16 After a full Sunday of football and hoops, the NBA takes center stage again with a seven game slate filled with plenty of solid matchups. We get the Beard, Boogie, Blake and more. That's a lot of B's, B. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Point Guards Kemba Walker FD - $7600 DK - $7500Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 39.39 DK - 42.03 He left the Cleveland game with a leg contusion, but it looks like Walker will suit up tonight against the Pacers. The Pacers are really struggling to stop point guards this season and are allowing about 4% more scoring that league average to the position. Those numbers weren't helped with Damian Lillard torching them for a 33/9 line on Saturday, but it's been an issue all season for Jeff Teague and company. Their perimeter and inside D is weak allowing opposing ball handlers to work both inside and out. That should benefit Walker tonight who's seeing about 15% more shots per minute this season. He's a top 15 usage guy this year and is also launching (and hitting) more threes. I love the value we're getting here and he's in play on both sites. Darren Collison FD - $5500 DK - $4900Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 26.23 DK - 28.26 The minutes over the last three games don't look great on paper, but two of those games were blowout issues. I think he creeps back up into mid 30's run tonight and has one of the best matchups of the evening against the Lakers. LA plays at the fourth fastest pace in the league and their defensive efficiency ranks dead last. No early line on this one, but I suspect it projects as high scoring and close. Because Boogie dominates so much of the Kings' usage (specifically in iso ball) it isn't easy for Sacramento point guards to crush scoring. But that's built into Collison's price especially on DraftKings. After these two guys, the decisions are a little less clear. You can strongly consider both Deron Williams and Jeff Teague if you think either can play minutes in the mid 30's but that's no guarantee. Shooting Guards DeMar DeRozan FD - $8500 DK - $7700Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 43.52 DK - 45.29 I feel...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12600 DK - $12400Opponent - BOSProj Pts FD - 61.53 DK - 65.51 Westbrook is still the highest priced player on the slate, and rightfully so. He has been the best player in the league, as evident by his current triple double average. The Celtics are not the team to stop him, as they can play up and down and don't mind running the floor. Westbrook has a triple double in 7 straight games, and will look to make it 8 here. Westbrook has a current usage sitting at 41%, which is 5 points higher than the 2nd guy, DeMarcus Cousins. Westbrook is going to have a fantastic game and you just have to decide if you want to pay up or not. At $12,600, he still has the upside to win you a tournament. There should be a decent amount of value on this slate and you can get Westbrook in cash if you want. Eric Bledsoe FD - $8400 DK - $7800Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 38.68 DK - 41.38 Bledsoe has finally been showing some flashes of his old self, and it has been great to see. When he is shooting well and getting the minutes, Bledsoe has as much upside as almost anybody. The Pelicans have nobody to guard, and will likely throw Tim Frazier at him with Holiday out. Bledsoe can be used in cash games, but I prefer him in tournaments as I will probably either pay up or down in cash games. In tournaments though, you have to love him. He has a very low floor and a very high ceiling, which is what we are looking for in our GPP's. I expect him to be under 10% owned, so a big game could certainly catapult you to the top of the leaderboard. Marcus Smart FD - $4700 DK - $5600Opponent - OKCProj Pts FD - 28.19 DK - 30.07 If you need a cheap way to go, Smart is an option. He has been underwhelming as of late, but he has shown his upside this year. I think Smart should get a ton of run against Westbrook, and should run some 3 guard sets in this match up. With a bunch...
