Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 12/15/16 Happy Thursday. I'm writing this after a ridiculously frantic Wednesday lock, which followed a ridiculously frantic Tuesday lock. I need a permanent cold shower at the moment. And unfortunately, Thursday doesn't offer the normal sanity of a shorter slate. Lots of question marks, a handful of big names who might sit, and a few huge spreads to keep us on our toes. Let's see if we can't make heads or tails of this thing. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $9500 DK - $8800Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 42.67 DK - 45.79 The price is getting a little bit out of hand on Lillard, but there are still situations where it makes sense to roster him. Let's see what boxes we can check tonight. Short slate? Check. Top 5 match-up for his position? Check. A game that's projected to be close? Sure. Okay, those were really all the boxes I can think of. But those are some solid boxes. The big issue with Lillard from night to night is projecting his minutes. When the game stays close, he plays 36-40 minutes and puts together his usual package of points and assists. Lillard is 4th in the league in time of possession per game (per SportVU data), and I think he should provide you with a nice floor at the big money slot tonight. Jrue Holiday FD - $7100 DK - $6700Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 34.88 DK - 37.53 How about a little upside to go with your safety, eh? Holiday has played 40 and 30 minutes since returning from his turf-toe related absence, and put up about 5x points per dollar in those two games. As of this writing Tim Frazier is doubtful for Thursday's tilt with the Pacers, and that leads me to believe we'll see the higher end of Holiday's minutes here. The Pacers have allowed the 8th most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, and have played a top 10 pace as well. We've seen Holiday top a fantasy point per minute in the past, and the combination of him rounding into form and Frazier likely being missing makes this something of the perfect storm. Brandon Jennings FD - $4800 DK - $4600Opponent - GSProj Pts FD...

What We Know LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will all rest tonight Tonight is going to be really interesting. Kyrie missed last game, and the other 2 big guys will sit tonight as well. With all 3 of them out, I think a few guys will step up. Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert are my favorite, and I think both guys make great plays across the board. Outside of them, DeAndre Liggins, Channing Frye and J.R. Smith will all get a good amount of action. They can all be played in tournaments and they all have upside. DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore will all sit out against the Rockets This is somewhat the same situation, just to a lesser degree. Cousins is a huge usage guy, and Rudy Gay is number. McLemore doesn't get quite as much usage, but he still gets minutes. I think Darren Collison is my favorite play, and both Barnes and Casspi will get a lot of minutes as well. Anyone that gets minutes has upside against the Rockets defense, and they are all plenty cheap. Isaiah Thomas will remain out against the Spurs Isaiah Thomas has been out for 3 games, and will miss at least 1 more. Marcus Smart will get most of the minutes, and is a pretty interesting play tonight. The Spurs do run out a good defense, but the one spot you can attack them is point guard. I think I will reserve Smart for tournaments, but I don't mind him in cash games. LaMarcus Aldridge will be rested against the Celtics Aldridge plays up and down minutes, but hasn't missed but a few games so far. He will sit this one out, and we can look at a couple different guys to benefit. Pau Gasol and Kawhi Leonard are my favorite two, and I think they both pick up about 20% more minutes. Victor Oladipo will be held out with his...

Enjoy the article, and we'll see you tonight around line-up lock in the chat! ~ James Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard John Wall FD - $9700 DK - $8600Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 47.37 DK - 50.16 Wall is simply underpriced relative to his established floor, especially on DraftKings where he would need to eclipse 44 points to reach his value threshold. And, he has honestly become a model of consistency, giving fantasy owners 50 burgers in 6 out of his last 8 games. On a big slate with a bunch of uncertainty, you can easily consider Wall a viable option in all formats. In a game with a healthy implied total of 212 in which Vegas figures to be the most competitive on the slate, look for Wall to get all the run he can handle. The micro match-up in and of itself is less than ideal with Charlotte ranking 5th against point guards. But, on the other side of the coin, consider that Wall is averaging 36.2 minutes per game and averaging 1.3 fantasy points a minute. This gives way to a healthy floor and ceiling which we saw plenty of versus Orlando four games ago where he went ballistic and dropped 75 fantasy points. He is definitely going to see some action in my cash game line-ups. Goran Dragic FD - $7400 DK - $7300Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 34.81 DK - 37.21 He certainly has been heating up lately, pun intended. I rarely have an issue rostering a guy on a "heater" as opposed to a guy slumping. In the last 5 games, Dragic is averaging 39.8 fantasy points and returning value to the tune of 5.4x. I like him in this up-tempo match-up because despite the slow pace, the Heat often run their offense in and Dragic thrives in fast paced game environments. Add to this the fact that Indiana is one of the worst teams in the league against point guards (25th). This gives me another reason to strongly consider him in all formats as an elite mid-tier selection. Andrew Harrison FD - $4200 DK - $4300Opponent - CLEProj Pts FD - 22.16 DK...

What We Know Marc Gasol will rest tonight against the Cavs With Gasol out, the line has jumped to CLE -16. This game could easily turn into a blowout, though it could also stay rather close. I expect Zach Randolph and and JaMychal Green to get most of the minutes, and both make pretty interesting plays here. You can consider both in cash games and tournaments. Victor Oladipo has been ruled out against the Blazers Oladipo has played big minutes for the Thunder lately, and only played 10 minutes in last game. Last game, Morrow played 28 minutes and Andre Roberson played 33. Both are decent plays, but I definitely think Morrow has a higher ceiling. Westbrook will also pick up a few extra shots, but he doesn't really need the help. What We're Waiting to Know Nikola Vucevic and Bismack Biyombo are both questionable against the Hawks If only one is out, the other makes for a great play. If both play, neither interest me very much. If both are out, Serge Ibaka will play the 5 a lot, and Stephen Zimmerman may also pick up some minutes and I think he is an interesting tournament flier. Ibaka is viable in both cash and tournaments. Rajon Rondo is a GTD against the Timberwolves Rondo is a huge part of this offense, and if he plays, he is a decent option. If he misses, I think you look at Butler and Wade to benefit most. Grant and Canaan might also get some run, but not enough minutes to be worth it. T.J. Warren is questionable against the Knicks Warren has a hot start to the season, but has simmered down since then. He still plays big minutes and shoots plenty. He has been out for a while, who we know what happens if he misses. If he does play, he will likely just take 5 or 6 minutes away from 3 or 4 guys. The...

DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Friday 12/13/16 DFSR crew breaks down a Tuesday slate in the NBA. The talk starts of course with the triple-double machine Russell Westbrook. Dude is such a difficult fade on any slate and the price is getting close to the breaking point. Yet you can still keep running him out there for safety in cash games.  They also discuss some of the savings you get on the Golden State guys like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green who are coming off a string of slower games in the short term.  Then they discuss the situation in Orlando if Vucevic doesn't play again.  Subscribe to this podcast on...
