Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 12/20/16 It took me a little longer than usual to write these picks mostly because I was congratulating DFSR user FortyOZNJ on his $25,000 win on DraftKings. He used our pro tools to absolute crush it. It was a banner night with another user and, AllDayLJ chopping up the FanDuel  100K tournament. Why haven't you signed up yet? Point Guards Chris Paul FD - $9600 DK - $9200 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 44.66 DK - 47.18 With Blake Griffin on the shelf for the foreseeable future, the Clippers become all CP3's squad. Paul sees about a 10% usage bump when Blake is off the court and the Clips are much less likely to be involved in blowouts on the high end. In the last two games Blake missed Paul's averaged a 23/17/7 though it's worth mentioning that one of those games was a double OT loss against the Nets. So yes, the numbers are a little inflated, but Paul was far and away the team leader in shot volume and should be again tonight. Darren Collison FD - $5500 DK - $4900 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 31.57 DK - 33.5 The key for Collison is the Kings need to avoid the blowout. That's an issue for them at times because they aren't that good a team. Collison's mostly a price play here against a Portland team allowing more than league average scoring to the opposing point guard. Considering Collison has an elite teammate in Boogie, the assist numbers don't come in bunches mostly because the latter trends toward iso-ball. But if Collison can hit the corner three and stay on the court in a close one then you are getting a deal on him for both sites. Goran Dragic FD - $7500 DK - $7600 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 37.35 DK - 39.83 Point of honesty: I write the picks out of order sometimes as some guys lend themselves to easier fingers-to-keyboard than others. I was mostly done when I found out through our chat room that we had multiple DFSR users in sweats for top prizes on both FanDuel and DraftKings. I lost all concentration for the reasoning behind Dragic. He's great, been playing with a...

What We Know Monta Ellis will remain out Monta Ellis has been out for a minute, so we know what happens when out. If he does return, Glenn Robinson and C.J. Miles will lose a ton of minutes. They would all probably get around 25 minutes and fall short of value. What We're Waiting to Know J.J. Barea is questionable against the Nuggets Barea has been out for a while, so his return could cause some guys to lose minutes. If he does return tonight, you can write off the likes of Seth Curry and Dorian-Finney Smith. They both will lose minutes and lack appeal in any format. Jon Leuer Is questionable against the Bulls Leuer missed last game, and the Pistons ended up just playing Harris and Morris bigger minutes. If he misses once again, they are both pretty good plays against a weak Chicago Bulls interior. If he return, I think both guys are still good tournament plays, but could still be considered a good play in cash games. The "Every Lineup" Guys Russell Westbrook Russell Westbrook is a man amongst boys when on the court, and that was pretty evident last time out with a 26/11/22. He says he doesn't like the talk of triple doubles, but they will continue to come as long as he is still dominating on a nightly basis. The Hawks have a plus-efficiency defense, but Westbrook is a whole different monster. He is going to have a big game here, and is a great option in all formats. With Oladipo still battling injury, he could be in for another big game in the assists are. Schroder lacks the size and skill to stay with Westbrook. Tim Hardaway Jr. This one is pretty simple. He is super cheap, and is going to get a bunch of minutes. With Oladipo out, he will be going up against a defender that is far inferior. He will come off the bench...

Point Guard John Wall FD - $9900 DK - $9600 Opponent - LAC Proj Pts FD - 46.29 DK - 49.32 John Wall has been great lately, and I look for him to keep it up against the Clippers. Chris Paul is definitely a good defender, but I don't think it will affect Wall too much. Wall has averaged a double double against  the Clippers over the past 3 years, averaging 14 points and 10 assists. He is far from reliant on scoring, and in this match up, the points will come organically. He is going to run the offense and likely play 35 minutes, so the one negative factor in Paul defense is not going to sway me. I think it will sway others though, and he could come in at a far lower ownership than where he should be. Wall has at least 45 fantasy points in his last 4, and I look for him to make it 5 here. He is a great play in both cash games and defense, especially at such a weak position tonight. Austin Rivers FD - $3900 DK - $4100 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 19.34 DK - 20.78 Rivers has played 38 and 34 minutes over the last two, and it looks like Doc Rivers is finally trusting him enough to play him on a regular basis. Whether or not anyone rests, I think Rivers will get plenty of minutes. He has played the 1,2 and 3 this season, so the versatility is there. He put up a stinker against  the Heat, but they throw out a great defense and a very slow pace, which kills Rivers type of play. The Wizards love to run and overs should take advantage of that in transition. The Wizards are a team that have a lot of good individual defender, but still gives up a ton of points That is because of there fast pace and how many shots they allow the other team. Rivers is always more of a GPP play, but I don't mind him in cash either. As a note, watch out for one or more Clippers resting. Doc has been quoted recently saying he wants t give some guys a night off soon....

Ellis, who didn't travel with the team on their current road trip will remain out until at least Monday when the Pacers return home. The injury bug spread to Stuckey on Wednesday when he injured his hamstring against the Heat. He currently has no timetable for return to action. Glenn Robinson and C.J.Miles have seen much more action in their absence. T.J. Warren and Alex Len will play tonight. Both players are projected to play tonight. Warren should most likely come off the bench meaning PJ Tucker should be in line for one more start. Len returning will cut into the minutes Tyson Chandler has been seeing recently, until we see just how they're both used neither makes an attractive fantasy play. What We're Waiting to Know Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony are game time decisions. After leaving Tuesdays game due to lingering back pain, Rose sat out against the Warriors on Thursday. He was able to practice Friday and will wait to see how he feels Saturday before his status is confirmed. Should he miss again, Brandon Jennings makes a great play. Melo on the other hand sat out against the Warriors due to a sore shoulder, but this doesn't seem to be anything of concern and he expects to go tonight against the Nuggets. Al-Farouq Aminu is doubtful against the Warriors. Aminu is doubtful tonight and while Myers Leonard and Ed Davis would see more time if he sits out again, the real implication from a fantasy perspective lies in Aminu's defense missing from a game Vegas has the Warriors favored by 14 in. Draymond Green could have his way with the Blazers front court and makes an enticing tournament play. The "Every Lineup" Guys Andre Drummond The Pistons were blown out last night by Washington, cutting in to Drummond's fantasy production. He has been on a nice run as of late, putting...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 12/17/16 TGIS! We have a huge slate of hoops to go through for a Saturday, Saturday Night football, and we're coming up on College Football Bowl Season! What could be better? Crushing the bad guys at DFS. Tonight's slate is an interesting blend of uncertain injury situations, big spreads, and super-fast paced offenses. Let's dive in. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guards Jeff Teague FD - $7100 DK - $6600Opponent - DETProj Pts FD - 34.13 DK - 36.43 Teague is a great way to start our cash game lineups tonight with Ellis still shelved with his groin injury. He's paid easy 5x+ points per dollar value in 2 of the 3 games since Ellis went out, and he only missed against the Heat due to foul trouble mucking up his minutes. Teague's usage has been 28% better (relatively) with Ellis off the floor this season, and the double digit assists he posted in both contests is very reassuring. If he has 18+ shot upside (like he did against New Orleans), he'll be a phenomenal value against a league average Detroit defense. Dennis Schroder FD - $7000 DK - $6500Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 32.41 DK - 34.9 Another slam dunk mid-range value guy, Schroder has averaged 5x points per dollar on these prices for since he inherited more minutes on November 27th. Schroder remains a tremendous value simply because his season long stats don't reflect his currently opportunity and usage whatsoever. In his new role he's averaging ~17 shots per game and ~8 assists, and his price just hasn't quite caught up. Like Teague, Schroder has a league average match-up with the Hornets, and he looks to have a very solid floor even if he doesn't have a huge points per dollar ceiling. Damian Lillard FD - $9700 DK - $9100Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 42.15 DK - 45.31 Here's a riskier play for your big tournaments. Lillard is coming fresh off a 40/10 beasting of the Nuggets, and will ply his trade against one of the league's fastest teams in Golden State. Lillard presents a more difficult match-up than many PGs for the Warriors for a rather odd reason - his above average back-court running mate. The Dubs won't be able to stick Klay on Lillard...
