Point Guard Goran Dragic FD - $7400 DK - $7400Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 37.17 DK - 39.71 Dragic is coming off a game where he played 45 minutes and scored just 27 fantasy points. Obviously not phenomenal, but not as bad as it seems at first blush. Dragic ran bad in essentially every conceivable category, from FG% (he went just 6/17), to assists, to defensive stats. In anything like an average performance he would have been terrific on that level of opportunity. Tonight he'll square off against the Lakers, who simply do not feature even an average defender at the point guard position. They've allowed the 5th most points per game to opposing point guards this season, and I think Dragic is a high floor, high ceiling option here. Chris Paul FD - $9200 DK - $9400Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 46.08 DK - 48.51 We wrote this up the last time around, but CP3 has been an actual animal with Blake off the court in the last couple of seasons, and with Blake sidelined for 4-6 weeks he should slide right back into fantasy dominance. We are getting a discount on his price here for two reasons. The first is the Spurs - their defensive reputation certainly precedes them. The second is the fact that his price hasn't adjusted to Blake being out because it hasn't had enough time. He put up 5x points per dollar against the Nuggets on these prices in spite of playing just 26 minutes in a blowout. And the Spurs? They've basically been league average against opposing point guards thanks to Tony Parker's old legs. I love Paul for cash games tonight. Jeff Teague FD - $7700 DK - $7100Opponent - BOSProj Pts FD - 38.08 DK - 40.59 Speaking of dudes whose price doesn't match their current opportunity, has anyone at FanDuel or DraftKings been paying attention to what he's been doing recently? He's maintained his solid scoring, but is posting career bests in assists, rebounds, and steals, and a 5 year low in turnovers per game. What We Know Victor Oladipo will remain out against the Pelicans Oladipo has been held out for the past 4 games, and will likely miss at least a couple more. This game against the Pelicans should be full of fantasy goodness, and I am glad Oladipo will not be able to take any looks. Westbrook and Adams are my favorite, though the role players are interesting as well in tournaments. What We're Waiting to Know Kevin Love is officially questionable against the Bucks Love missed last game, and both LeBron and Kyrie took advantage. They both had good games, and will likely do so against the same opponent tonight. If he does play, I think they are all restricted to tournament options. These guys are playing 2 days in a row, so it could be a fun one to see how both teams adjust. Dwight Howard is questionable with a sore back against the T-Wolves Howard ended up missing last game, and both Millsap and Schroder took advantage. If he misses again, I like both of them once again. Karl-Anthony Towns also gets a bump up if Dwight Howard is forced to sit. If he does play, I think everyone is downgraded just a little bit. Rudy Gay and Omri Casspi are questionable against the Jazz Either way, I have no interest in this offense. They are coming off of a back to back and facing off with a top 5 NBA defense. Outside of large field tournaments, I have no desire to target anyone on this side. If Gay comes back, he will take minutes from mostly Garrett Temple and Omri Casspi, who is also questionable. Rodney Hood is questionable with "gastric distress" I assume this just means the flu, but it could be anything. Either way, most stomach viruses tend to wear you down for at least a full day or two. The system likes him so he's definitely in play. Haha, no but seriously he has come in red hot these last couple of games putting up an absolutely insane 154 points sans Oladipo. And somehow, after scoring over 70 points last game his price has decreased $200 on DraftKings. Tomorrow he gets a tasty matchup with the Pelicans who are a middle of the pack team ranked 15th against point guards. Even though I don't currently have the spread it's an absolute no brainer that this will be a fast paced high scoring affair with these teams being ranked 4th/5th in possessions per game. (103) Westbrook should be a cash game staple for you tomorrow if you want to remain competitive. Jrue Holiday FD - $6800 DK - $6700 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 34.57 DK - 36.91 Holiday will be going up against Westbrook tomorrow. And if you follow the NBA at all, (hope you do) you obviously know that most of Westy's energy is exerted on the offensive side of the ball. Oklahoma ranks 19th against point guards and I expect that Holiday will be active on offense, especially from beyond the arc. Either way this game will be up-tempo and high scoring with no shortage of fantasy production. Jrue is definitely a viable option and should be considered when constructing line-ups tomorrow. Kyrie Irving FD - $7300 DK - $7500 Opponent - MIL Proj Pts FD - 35.99 DK - 38.6 If Kevin Love remains out of the line-up I really like Kyrie again. It's nothing new to DFS players that when Love sits, Lebron is a lock. Witnessed by his 85% ownership in cash games on DraftKings tonight. But Kyrie also sees quite an uptick in usage at the rate of 37.9% generating 1.2 fantasy points a minute without the on court help of Love. I'm definitely keeping an eye on the status of Love and keeping Kyrie on my short list for cash and tournaments tomorrow night. What We Know Blake Griffin will be out 3-6 weeks Paul Pierce is the projected starter for tonight, and I think he makes for a decent play across the board. With that being said, I think the real value will go to the other starters. They will all likely pick up minutes, and shots will go along with them. Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan should benefit the most. Kevin Love has been ruled out against the Bucks K-Love has been a huge art of the Cavs offense this year, so his absence will cause a ripple. Channing Frye will likely get around 28 minutes and he has been a lot better with LeBron on the court. Richard Jefferson will get the start, but I doubt he sees over 25 minutes. Irving and James may also pick up a few shots. Clint Capela will miss 6 weeks Capela has been a big help for Harden down low this year, so it should be interesting to see how he handles this. Minutes wise, Nene Hilario and Ryan Anderson will benefit the most. Capela got a bunch of rebounds, which I think we could see go to Anderson and Harden. The Rockets have been shooting a ton of 3's, and the Spurs are a tough match up. What We're Waiting to Know Rudy Gay is questionable to play against the Blazers Gay has been out for a few games, and he could return tonight against the Blazers. Casspi is also questionable, so we could see a bunch of guys get a few minutes, or a few guys get a bunch of minutes. If both are out, you can look for Matt Barnes and Garrett Temple to benefit most. Derrick Rose is questionable to play D-Rose has been out for a week, and he will likely return tonight.
