We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $11800 DK - $12600 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 54.61 DK - 58.24 Russell Westbrook is going to lead us like he does most nights at the point guard position. Tonight, the Thunder will take on the Hornets in Charlotte. The Hornets are a pretty average defensive team, and most;y ride on the back of Batum and MKG. Outside of those guys, Kemba Walker struggles and Marvin Williams isn't very fleet of foot. Westbrook should be able to get to the rim at will, even if they put Batum on him. He is expensive, but like always, he has the upside to win you a tournament and the floor to make you comfortable in cash games. There are a lot of good ways to pay up, so you have to decide if Westbrook is worth it. Dennis Schroder FD - $6800 DK - $6600 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 33.71 DK - 36.42 Schroder has been really solid this season, to no surprise. He has been sitting right around that 30 mark on a consistent basis and has shown a ceiling that exceeds 50. The Magic are decent vs the point guard, but Schroder has the right tools to beat this defense. They are very prone to the spot up jumper, and Schroder shoots a ton of them coming off of screens. He is mid priced on both FD and DK, so is pretty easy to fit. Whether you want a safe 30 or the chance for 50, Schroder is the way to go. These point guards in the middle usually go underowned as well, as most attention gets drawn to the superstars and value plays. Malcolm Brogdon FD - $4400 DK - $5300 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 28.15 DK - 30.07 Speaking of point guard value play, we have Malcolm Brogdon. I was off of him after that great game, and reaped the benefits on him being high owned. I am back on board tonight with the Bucks taking on the Knicks. Hopefully some people will jump off the Brogdon train, and he comes in somewhat low owned. The Knicks aren't horrible against PG's, but they also aren't great. Rose is...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/3/17 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. What We Know Hassan Whiteside & Justise Winslow have been ruled out against the Suns Whiteside and Winslow both command the ball a lot and play a lot of minutes. With James Johnson also questionable, the Heat could be lacking big men. I think Willie Reed is interesting, but he could easily get 15 minutes and 8 fantasy points. Derrick Williams could get a lot of run, and he has always been a great FP per minute player. The Suns play fast, and Williams is a guy that plays well with that pace. He has tournament upside, but I wouldn't touch him in cash games. Rudy Gay has been ruled out against the Nuggets This makes Cousins an elite play. Cousins has a usage of 42% with Gay out, which is only 3% less than Westbrook this year. Cousins is an absolute monster, and there is nobody that can stop him on the Nuggets. I think Jokic will get into foul trouble early, and that will leave some poor defenders on Cousins. This could be one of the better performances of his year, and you will want a lot of exposure. Sergio Rodriguez will remain out tonight ROdriguez plays a good amount of minutes, and this leaves T.J. McConnell as the only healthy point guard. He could play 40 minutes tonight, and that will equal success against a T-Wolves team that can give it up to point guard. McConnell is cheap, and super safe as a cash game play. His ceiling is high enough to play him in tournaments as well. What We're Waiting to Know Jeff Teague is questionable with a sprained ankle Teague is a huge part of this offense, and if he misses this game, you almost have to play Paul George. With all the value on this slate, he is eay to pay for and will get a big usage bump. I will lock him into all of my lineups, on...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Friday 1/3/17
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Friday 1/3/17 DFSR crew of James Davis and Doug Norrie talk a Tuesday slate of basketball. At first blush, this one looks weird with eight of the slowest nine teams in basketball taking the court. We don’t love that in DFS because it means a significant pace down situation for about half of the slate. But there is some potentially interesting value cropping up here. First off we have TJ McConnell and TJ Warren looking to see big minutes’ bumps on reduced salaries. Then you get guys like Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic who offer upside though they do come with risk. And then the guys discuss Demarcus Cousins as the top big money option and likely the chalk play on the slate. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/3/17
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/3/17 Woof, this slate. My goodness. Let me put it this way: it's an 8 game slate and eight of the nine slowest teams in the NBA are playing. That means half of the teams here play at plodding paces which you never want to target. Those squads are the Grizzlies, Jazz, Heat, Mavericks, Spurs, Pistons, Heat and Timberwolves. So have fun, it's going to be slow-motion on the court tonight. McConnell FD - $4600 DK - $4300 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 27 DK - 28.92 It doesn’t look like Sergio Rodriguez is going to play on Tuesday, making TJ basically a must play in DFS. He won’t be anywhere close to under the radar considering he filled this slot last game, played 36 minutes and put up a 17/8/2 line. That more than hits value and he’d be in line for similar run with the Sixers without really anyone else who can even approximate the point guard position. The prices crept up a bit after his game on Friday, but not enough to take him out of consideration here. He’ll be a chalk play on both sites and is a particular deal on DraftKings. Jeff Teague FD - $7900 DK - $7100 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 40.2 DK - 42.65 It hasn’t happened over night necessarily, but since Monta Ellis went down injured a few weeks ago, we’ve seen the slow emergence of Teague as a legit fantasy guy thanks to both a decent usage rate and increased assist opportunities. He’s the second highest usage starter on the Pacers behind Paul George in the last month or so and is averaging the most fantasy points per minute on the squad in that time period. I don’t love the matchup against a very slow Detroit squad, but this slate is full of trap matchups with the Jazz and Grizz (among others) also playing. The Pistons are actually below average in defending the point guard position this season and allowing worse than league average production that position across the fantasy line. Darren Collison FD - $4100 DK - $4500 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 23.43 DK - 25.06 Do you trust the 39 minutes he played against the...

What We Know George Hill has been ruled out against the Nets Hill has been in and out of the lineup for a while, and now will miss probably a few more games. The Jazz play the Nets tonight, so you have to look somewhere. I think all the starters get a bump, and Shelvin Mack should step in. He is a good play, but does have a low floor. The safest way to go is Gordon Hayward, and you can use all of the rest in tournaments. Cody Zeller is out against the Bulls Zeller is in the concussion protocol, and will likely miss a few games. He plays a good amount of minutes down low for the Hornets, and his absence will give some opportunity. Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert will both pick up minutes, but I have no interest. Marvin Williams may also grab 5 or 6 more minutes, and I definitely have interest in him. The PF spot is not fun tonight, and he gives you a safe path to 25 fantasy points. \ What We're Waiting to Know Chris Paul is listed as doubtful CP3 was supposed to return a couple games ago, but it looks like he could miss one or two more. Austin Rivers has been frustrating, but he is still in a good spot and will go overlooked after having a bad game last time out. DeAndre Jordan also takes a bump here, as he is very reliant on CP3. You can play basically any of the Clippers guards in tournaments. Kyrie Irving is questionable against the Pelicans I do expect Kyrie to return tonight, but he could definitely sit out. If he does, Kay Felder and Jordan McRae would benefit. However, the real benefit goes to LeBron and Love. They both get a bump in usage and will shoot more. Anthony Davis could also get an upgrade here, as there is a better chance this one...
