Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/6/16 Well coming off watching Russ vs. Beard, this one seems like a bit of a let down. But it doesn't mean we can't hammer out some value plays in the association. We've got a ton to consider with guys like CP3 likely to sit, the Cavs possibly playing short-handed and Giannis facing the Knicks again. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guards Austin Rivers FD - $4600 DK - $5300 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 23.38 DK - 25.01 Raymond Felton FD - $4600 DK - $4700 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 23.27 DK - 25.13 It looks like Chris Paul is going to sit again on Friday leaving a ton of backcourt minutes up for grabs. That leaves it to these two titans of the game. Rivers and Felton have filled much of the back court void with Rivers basically starting at the three (Redick at the two) but also handling the rock with the second unit. The Clips are so short handed right now the minutes alone for these two guys makes them value plays. Both were excellent against the Grizzlies, Rivers putting up a 28/4/7 and Felton an 11/6/4/4 (steals). Both come as relative bargains on FanDuel while on DraftKings you’ll likely have to decide if there respective floors are high enough. The prices correct quicker over there. It’s a fine enough matchup against bottom third D in the Kings who also (unfortunately) play slow. But again, the opportunity well outstrips any concern with the opponent as we saw last game against Memphis. Goran Dragic FD - $7100 DK - $7400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 34.75 DK - 37.14 As the Heat get healthier in their backcourt, it’s reasonable to expect Dragic to play a few less minutes than he saw at his peak. But this is such a great matchup that I think even a minutes’ reduction does completely crush the overall expectation. The Lakers are the worst defensive efficiency squad in the league right now (though they duked it out with Portland who was 29/30 as of this writing so that could change). It doesn’t change the fact that we want to target PGs against LA and Dragic is in a fantastic situation here. I’m a little concerned...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/5/17 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Rondae-Hollis Jefferson is out against the Pacers This definitely gives a bump up to Paul George. George had one downside tonight, and that was his individual defender. Now that Jefferson is out, you almost have to play George at SF. The Nets guards should also pick up some minutes, and are decent tournament options. What We're Waiting to Know Damian Lillard is questionable against the Lakers I expect Lillard to is this one, as he is supposedly more doubtful than questionable. C.J. McCollum remains a terrific play, as he will be the point guard and get a ton of usage. Allen Crabbe and Mason Plumlee also have gained a bunch of usage. Patrick Beverley is a GTD against the Thunder Beverley expects to play tonight, and that definitely does temper expectations for Russell Westbrook. With that being said, he is still a great option in tournaments. Corey Brewer will also head to the bench, and he loses all appeal. Luol Deng & Jordan Clarkson are questionable The Lakers have been injury riddled for all year, and these 2 guys ae now going to likely take at least 1 game off here. If they do,D'Angelo Russell, Lou Williams and Nick Young should get a lot of run. You can play all of those guys in both cash games and tournaments. The "Every Lineup" Guys James Harden I touched on both of these guys in the main picks article, and you can head there if you want to see a more lengthy explanation. Harden takes on the Thunder tonight, a team who plays fast and doesn't play much defense. With Beverley expected to be back, Oladipo will likely cover Harden. He is a decent man to man defender, but lacks the size and footwork to stay with Harden. He can be used in both cash games and tournaments, and won't be the reason you lose tonight. Julius Randle Randle is an absolute moster, and...

DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 1/5/17 DFSR crew of James Davis and Doug Norrie talk a surprisingly big slate of Thursday NBA. There’s a ton to get into here with the premiere matchup of Russell Westbrook vs. James Harden highlighting the night. That is where most people will want to go with their lineups, but as the guys discuss, there’s a ton of mid tier value cropping up tonight. Guys like Jeff Teague, Kemba Walker, Jrue Holiday, CJ McCollum and Paul George all come in with fantastic matchups and could be a way to create different lineups that fade the big boys. They also talk a decent power forward position with Paul Millsap, Julius Randle and Thad Young. And finally, they end things by arguing over Montreal Harrell and Myles Turner’s ownership percentages. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12400 DK - $12300 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 54.89 DK - 58.66 Russ Westbrook isn't coming in as one of our top PG's of the day, but I still felt obligated to talk about him. He is going to be highly owned, and is definitely a good subject of discussion. I will definitely have exposure in tournaments, but the price is just too high in cash games, and I prefer Harden. Westbrook is just consistently great. He came through with 65 fantasy points, and almost another triple double. Patrick Beverley will return tonight, which does hamper it quite a bit. There is also not too much value on this slate yet, so it won't be easy to pay up in more than 1 spot, unless a bunch of value comes out as the day goes on. All in all, if you want exposure to Russell Westbrook, get it in tournaments. Kemba Walker FD - $8100 DK - $7900 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 39.82 DK - 42.15 Kemba has been a different player this year, and doesn't even look like the same player from other years. He has the vibe of a floor leader, and now has the skills to back it up. The Pistons have been league average against PG's, and Reggie Jackson has never been known for his defense. Walker should be able to get open easily, and he can score from anywhere on the court. Andre Drummond is a good center, but Walker will run circles around him in the lane. He is more of a cash game play for me, as I don't think the upside is there against the slow paced Hornets teams. Jeff Teague FD - $7800 DK - $7400 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 39 DK - 41.5 We are going to be targeting a lot of Indiana Pacers tonight. They take on the Nets, who have by far the worst defense en the league and run at an incredibly fast pace. The Pacers have a lot of talent, and a lot of guys who can score the ball. Teague stands at the top of the list, and has definitely  been the best player on the...

What We Know Chris Paul & Damian Lillard are both doubtful, and fully expected to miss This is the same show & dance from both of these guys, and they should both sit again. For the Clippers, Austin Rivers benefits most. As for the Blazers, you can plug and play C.J. McCollum tonight. Everyone else in the starting lineup is in play as well, as the usage will stay up. Kristaps Porzingis is also doubtful Porzingis has missed the last 2 games, and it looks like he will miss another one here. Noah has definitely taken advantage, and he will get a little extra run tonight. He can be played in both cash games and tournaments, as his price is low. What We're Waiting to Know LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are all questionable I think they either all play or all sit out. In the case they all play, I would look at everyone as a strict tournament play only. If they all miss, things could get really interesting. Almost everyone who starts would be in play, as well as whoever you think would be the 1st 2 guys up from the bench. Iman Shumpert, Kay Felder and Jordan McRae would be my favorite as I expect them to get a ton of usage. If only 1 or 2 guys play, the other star(s) would be in play in both cash games and tournaments. Dwyane Wade is questionable against the Cavs With Wade out last time, Butler sure took advantage. He finished with 52 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. While we definitely can't expect that again, we can look for him to have a nice game. Even if Wade plays, Butler is still in play. The Cavs are good on defense, but this game figures to be very competitive. Wade is also a tournament option if he plays. Evan Fournier has been listed as questionable Fournier has been questionable 5 games...
