DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Tuesday 1/10/17
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Tuesday 1/10/17 DFSR crew of Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a value-packed slate of Tuesday NBA for FanDuel and DraftKings. They start by rewinding and talking about the Derrick Rose situation from last night and how that effected lineups. Then it’s on to the value. They start at point guard where John Wall, Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroder lead the charge. Then they discuss the Bulls’ situation with both Wade and Butler sitting out tonight. That opens the door for guys like Doug McDermott and Nikola Mitotic to possibly spike in usage rates. They also break down the value at small forward, power forward and center. You can target big men like Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard against the lowly Nets. Subscribe to this podcast on...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/9/17
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/9/17 Well, it was a lovely weekend in DFSR land. My Steelers won, Doug's Giants lost, football lineups did great, and as of now we're fading Derrick Favors, who was a 63% start and has negative points after a quarter. And, yes, I'm writing this specifically to jinx our chances for the rest of the night. Monday is a super tiny slate - just 3 games - but that doesn't mean we can't find a little value, so let's get to work. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $6900 DK - $6600Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 33.81 DK - 36.18 Back to back rough games for Holiday owners, but there's a lot to like here, at least relative to the competition. The first thing is the minutes - Holiday is on a pretty strict 35 minute rotation unless the game is truly out of hand, and Vegas has this one separated by just 4 points. Prior to those last two games, Holiday had been paying off 5x points per dollar on the regular, and he never had as good a match-up in any of those games as he has here. The Knicks have allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards in their last 10 games, and Holiday should give their offensively minded back-court fits here. Russell Westbrook FD - $12400 DK - $13000Opponent - CHIProj Pts FD - 56.67 DK - 60.54 Westbrook doesn't get top billing simply because it will be hard to pay up for him tonight. He's brushing up against being too expensive as it is, and on a short slate, you might simply not e able to find the savings you need at other positions tonight. There's a chance you can go double cheap at shooting guard or something, but it won't be easy. As for Westbrook himself, the Bulls have been absolutely abysmal against opposing point guards this season, allowing the very most fantasy points to opposing PGs on the year. It's a little tricky, though, because most of that was under Rondo's not-so-watchful eye. They're probably a better defensive team without him, but it's hard to quantify on such a small sample size. All that being said, you should probably look out for...

I didn't highlight any plays in the article, mostly because they are unplayable on FanDuel and most other sites around the industry. Sergio Rodriguez is questionable, and if he misses, T.J. McConnell will be a must play. Joel Embiid is also a terrific play, along with Ersan Ilyasova. On the Nets side, I have much less interest. Trevor Booker would be in a good spot, but you can't trust that the minutes will be there. Point Guard Early Malcolm Brogdon FD - $4600 DK - $5600 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 25.01 DK - 26.71 Dellavedova may return today, but Brogdon will likely remain the starter. He has played great, and the return of Dellavedova will hurt Jason Terry, and he will probably lose all of them. I expect Brogdon to see around 32 minutes, and this match up sets up well. John Wall isn't a bad defender, but plays fast and has no problem giving up some points. As long as he can get his, he will run the floor and be fine with a fast paced, high scoring game. That could work well for Brogdon, who gets his ceiling from his peripherals. He had a triple double just a week ago. Brogdon has gotten a noticeble price bump, but is still too cheap. He is priced around the likes of Raymond Felton and Pat Beverley, who are far inferior plays. Brogdon is the best point per dollar play at PG in the early slate, and you should have exposure in all formats. The only way I get off of Brogdon is if Dellavedova is announced as the starter or main recipient of minutes. Late Eric Bledsoe FD - $7800 DK - $6900 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 40.09 DK - 42.71 I love targeting this game tonight, along with the affair in Los Angeles. Bledsoe figures to be in a great pot tonight, especially if this stays close. Kyrie has never been known for his defense, and for good reason. The Cavs have a good team defense, so his holes are constantly covered. There is a chance DeAndre Liggins gets...
Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/6/17
Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/6/17 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. What We Know Chris Paul is probable to play against the Kings Chris Paul has been out for about a week and a half now, and it looks like he will return tonight. This draws most attention away from the guards, outside of Redick in tournaments. DeAndre Jordan gains some interest, as CP3 makes him much better. Hassan Whiteside is out against the Lakers Whiteside is really the only real presence the Heat have down low, and he leaves a big hole. James Johnson and Willie Reed will get the most run, and Johnson is my favorite. With Winslow already out for the year, Johnson has safe minutes no matter what. Jamychal Green has been ruled out against the Celtics Green plays almost 30 minutes per game for the Grizzlies, and his absence leaves us some opportunity. Zach Randolph is the obvious guy, and I do like him. James Ennis will also get a bump, and I like him a lot. He can run with the Warriors, and is a great FP per minute play. What We're Waiting to Know Klay Thompson is questionable against the Grizzlies I am going to avoid the Warriors tonight, but this could open something up. If Thompson misses, Curry and Durant should pick up some extra shots. Both would turn into solid tournament options for me. Sergio Rodriguez has been downgraded to questionable Rodriguez started the day probable, so this tag is surprising. He has been out for a while, and now that a downgrade occured, I would expect him to miss this one. T.J. McConnell will step right back in and be a great play. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is a GTD against the Cavs If he misses this one, LeBron James would basically be uncovered. They have no other big guys who are athletic enough to stay with him. Bogan Bogdanovic may also pick up some minutes, but I have no interest outside of tournaments. The "Every Lineup" Guys...

DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 1/7/17 DFSR crew talks an eight game slate of NBA with a few superstars taking the court. James Harden is coming on the back-to-back against Orlando and the guys talk about whether that effects his minutes. There’s also Giannis who’s coming off a big buzzer beater win against the Knicks two nights ago. He gets that same matchup tonight and might be the chalk play. They also discuss the Clippers’ backcourt value with Austin Rivers, Raymond Felton and J.J. Redick all getting more minutes with Chris Paul still out tonight.
