There are some relevant injury issues to get out of the way early. Demar Derozan and Joel Embiid are out tonight which has cascading effects down the Raptors’ and Clippers’ rosters. They talk about Kyle Lowry, Norman Powell, Jahlil Okafor and Ersan Ilyasova. They also discuss the Bulls’ situation with Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade and how they line up against the Magic. What We Know Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is likely to return KCP has been out for quite a while, and it looks like he will return here against the Kings. The Kings are bad against SG's, but I also expect KCP to be on a minutes limit. I don't think he has the upside, and doubt they push him too hard in his first game back. Stanley Johnson and Reggie Bullock will both lose minutes, and I don't have interest in either. Andre Iguodala will rest vs the Heat Iguodala is just taking a day off, and I don't think this really does much. Iggy usually plays 25 minutes, but I think they just get spread out between 2 or 3 bench guys. The starters are still great plays, but this news doesn't change much. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili are both out Patty Mills and Dejounte Murray will both see a big uptick in minutes, and I have interest in both. Mills is the safer option, but you never know who Pop will throw out there. Danny Green also has his minutes solidified, but he is also bad. What We're Waiting to Know Steven Adams is questionable against the Jazz I don't expect Adams to play today, but it is definitely possible. If he does play, I have interest in him. They will need him out there to stay with Rudy Gobert, as he is the only one who has the proper size. If he misses, Enes Kanter is someone you have to consider. He should play 30 minutes, and has a ton of upside. The "Every Lineup" Guys Kawhi Leonard Leonard has been insane lately. He is the first player in Spurs history to put up 30 points in 6 straight games, which is amazing when you consider the history of that organization. He should have no problem continuing that trend tonight, and a horrible Nets team. Both of the every lineup guys will come...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 1/23/16

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 1/23/16 After a dreadful blowout and injury ridden Sunday slate we return to some semblance of sanity on Monday. We bid adieu to DFS NFL and settle into a couple month stretch where NBA is only show in town. The good news is, we happen to be having a fantastic NBA season here at DFSR! Let's see what the projection system is seeing in advance of tonight's rather large slate. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guard Kyrie Irving FD - $8100 DK - $7900Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 41.11 DK - 43.77 Right away we're posed with another guy that has to have at least some question marks around him. With Kyrie they are two-fold: first, does the recent performance justify this price? And second, could this game get too far out of hand for him to pay this price? Let's tackle the performance bit first. He's only got two games since returning from injury where you'd be happy with his performance, so that's not exceptional. But the thing those two games had in common were that the game stayed close. So, we're hoping this one stays close (which it might not, but a -6.5 spread isn't all that worrisome). But there's more to it than just the blowout, here. New Orleans has been a phenomenal match-up for opposing point guards all season, allowing the 3rd most fantasy points per game to opposing PGs this year. Kyrie will be largely unplayable on these prices in even league average match-ups, but the plus plus match-up makes me think he'll be nearly chalk tonight. Goran Dragic FD - $7100 DK - $7200Opponent - GSProj Pts FD - 35.93 DK - 38.42 Now here's a guy that's been paying his price with a little more regularity. His issue, of course, is the opposite of Kyrie's. The blowout risk is more severe here and the match-up isn't quite as good, but Dragic has been handling the ball a ton for the Heat, and Golden State's 3rd fastest PACE should yield more possessions than usual. Throw in more of those possessions being in transition (where Dragic excels) and I think you have a cash game viable play with significant upside if the Heat can manage to hang. Situations to watch: There are a number...

Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $8600 DK - $8500 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 42.34 DK - 45.66 Eric Bledsoe FD - $8300 DK - $8400 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 40.47 DK - 43.56 We have a spread out 4 game slate on our hands, and it's a little bit weird. We have 3 games with high over/unders, and the 4th being the one with most value. You should be able to pay up today, but it could end up creating a lot of overlay. This is a day where  or 2 weird decisions can give you a great ownership advantage in tournaments. Lowry and the Raptors will host the Suns, who are coming off of a 107-105 win to the Knicks just last night. I personally do like Lowry a tad bit more, but could easily see Bledsoe having the bigger day. I expect Lowry to play big minutes here, and the rest day for Demar Derozan is coming. It likely won't happen today, but there is a chance. Both of these guys are actually pretty good defenders, but by no means shutdown. The Suns are technically worse against PG's, giving up 45 FanDuel PPG to the Raptors 43. These guys are basically identical in terms of price, and I expect the ownership to be similar as well. I will go with Lowry in both formats, but will also have exposure to Bledsoe. This position, like the rest, is a bit murky tonight. Any safety you can find holds a premium, and both of these guys are absolutely safe. Jordan Clarkson FD - $4400 DK - $4800 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 24.58 DK - 26.58 This game between the Lakers and Mavericks offers the most value on this slate, but is also the slowest. With D'Angelo Russell out for at least a week, there will be about 30 guard minutes up for grabs. With sites not having time to adjust yet, all of these guys have to be in consideration. Clarkson should man a lot of point guard minutes, and has a fantastic match up against the Deron Williams. Clarkson has shown the ability to produce when given the opportunity, so I expect nothing less...

What We Know Rudy Gay is out for the season   Gay has been battling injuries all year, and this one will put him out for good. DeMarcus Cousins is the obvious guy who benefits, and he is a fantastic play night in and night out. Matt Barnes and Tolliver could also see some more run, and I like Tolliver in tournaments. Darren Collison has been picking up some steam lately, and he could be in for some big tournament games. Evan Fournier & Jodie Meeks are out against the Bucks   Fournier looks to be dealing with a pretty bad foot injury, and he could be out for a little while. Elfrid Payton and Serge Ibaka will pick up some usage, and Mario Hezonja will get a bunch of minutes. All 3 guys can be used in different formats. What We're Waiting to Know Luol Deng is questionable vs Pacers   Luol Deng has been in and out for the last couple games, and looks truly questionable to play tonight. The Pacers play fast, and there will be opportunities to make shots and get rebounds. If Deng plays, i don't mind him. I won't go out of my way to grab him, but he is fine. If Deng misses, Brandon Ingram and Nick Young could also pick up a few minutes, and they are both willing to shoot. Patrick Patterson & Lucas Nogueira are both unlikely to play   PatPat and Nogueira are both questionable here, and there has to be something here. If one plays and one misses, the one that plays is a solid option. If they both play, I will avoid. If both guys sit out, Pascal Siakam and Jonas Valunciunas will have secured minutes and should both play well. You can consider Siakam in tournaments and Valunciunas can be played in all formats. The "Every Lineup" Guys Kevin Durant   I expect this game to stay close, and Durant is...
