What We Know Nene Hilario is expected to play This really doesn't do too much, except maybe take away a few minutes from Montrezl Harrell. This does not impact my thoughts on Clint Capela. Caris LeVert has been ruled out LeVert suffered a very serious injury in college, and the Nets have done a great job of using baby gloves on him. This season is a waste, so there is no sense in throwing out one of your future bright spots if not 100% healthy. Bogan Bogdanovic is really the only guy I have any interest in here, and I don't even love him. What We're Waiting to Know Cody Zeller is questionable to play Zeller makes a huge impact for this Hornets team, and his absence would be great. Both Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky will get huge upgrades, and I love them both. Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert also got traded, so the minutes are a guarantee. The "Every Lineup" Guys Kemba Walker Kemba gets the honor of facing off with the Brooklyn Nets, and that's really all that needs to be said. They play at the fastest pace in the NBA, and lack the ability to cover point guards. Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie will cover Walker most of the time, and he will have them all in a blender. Walker also plays much better at home, where he has averaged over 3 FP more. I do expect this game to stay close, and we all love to target the Nets. Frank Kaminsky Like I said, we love to target the Nets. The Hornets made a wise move of trading Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes to the Bucks, which will leave them very shorthanded tonight. When you add the fact that Cody Zeller is on the bad side of questionable, they could be extremely thin. Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky will both be forced into huge minutes, and I will have a...
DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Tuesday 2/7/17
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Tuesday 2/7/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look at an interesting three game slate in the NBA. Sometimes these small slates can get a little tricky but this one looks packed with value. A lot of that comes from the Hornets getting to face the Nets who of course are the team we always want to target against in DFS. Playing four Hornets is totally in play with Kemba Walker and Nic Batum likely coming in as chalk. James Harden is another chalk play against the Magic though we do need to worry some about the blowout there. The guys also discuss the state of Orlando and how they’ve redistributed minutes in the short term. And finally they talk about the Mavs against the Blazers and whether Yogi Ferrell is still a popular play tonight. Subscribe to this podcast on...

What We Know Danilo Gallinari is out vs the Mavericks Wilson Chandler is the guy who benefits most here, and is the only guy I have much interest in here against the Mavs. Nelson could also be in play if Mudiay is ruled out. Thaddeus Young is out vs the Thunder Lavoy Allen started last game and hit 40 fantasy points, in place of Thaddeus Young. While I don't expect another 40 piece from Allen, he is a fantastic play. We will touch on him later. Myles Turner could also see some more usage, but he is currently questionable. Keep an eye on twitter as the day winds down. Joakim Noah is out vs the Lakers Willy Hernangomez has been tremendous as of late, and I love him again tonight. The Lakers are weak against bigs, and Hernangomez has been an animal on both sides of the court. With over 30 fantasy points in 3 straight, I would expect nothing less. What We're Waiting to Know Jimmy Butler is questionable to play against the Kings Butler screwed a lot of people just a few nights ago, which i'm sure left a sour taste in a lot of mouths. He is officially a GTD here, and we will likely have no clue by the time lineup locks. This game is in Sacramento, and starts at 10:30 EST, 3 hours after lineup lock. If Butler misses, Wade and grant will benefit most. If Butler pays, I don't have much interest in any of them. Myles Turner is questionable with an illness Turner is an absolutely great play today, which definitely makes this news a bit disheartening. If Turner is announced as a full go, he is one of the betters centers on the board. With Thaddeus Young, this interior could become very thin. If Turner is out, you have to think Al Jefferson will get at least 25 minutes or so. He would be an interesting way...

Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $9000 DK - $8900Opponent - LACProj Pts FD - 45.29 DK - 48.64 With DeRozan likely sitting again on Monday, Lowry looks to rise to the top of the PG class once again. The Raptors don't generally seem to worry about Lowry on the 2nd half of a back to back, and neither do I. He's averaging better than 5x points per dollar on DeRozan's absence thanks to a dramatic uptick in usage. He took a slight step back against the Nets usage wise, but prior to that he had averaged 20+ shots per game over a 7 game stretch. When you figure that his prices are based largely on his 15 shots per game average, you've got a serious value on your hands. As for the Clippers, they don't appear to be the best match-up if you go strictly by defense vs. position stats, but they've been dramatically worse with Chris Paul on the shelf, allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards over the last 5 games. Lowry is an easy cash game include if DeRozan sits, even if he doesn't appear to have huge upside. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6500 DK - $7000Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 31.72 DK - 34.36 The Lakers have been one of the most infuriating teams this season when it comes to projecting minutes, but they seem to have at least decided that they'd like to see what they have with D'Angelo Russell. He seems locked into a 32-34 minute rotation at the moment, and has been excellent on these prices since returning from injury. He's brought his usual package of scoring and above average rebounding, but been distributing the ball well also - averaging 9 assists per game as opposed to his season average of 4.8 per game. Perhaps more telling is what tracking data can share with us. On the season Russell has averaged 5 minutes of time of possession per game, but in the last three games he's up to a walloping 6.5. This is a HUGE increase, and almost certainly points to an organizational decision to have the ball in his hands more. He's still cheap, and a roughly league average match-up with...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12400 DK - $12800 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 57.95 DK - 61.73 We have a 3 game slate on our hands, and there are only a couple ways to pay up. Westbrook is the top option on the entire slate, and has a great match up with the Blazers. Westbrook has been over 60 a few times in his last 10, and even hit 70 a couple times. This is a match up where that is entirely possible. Damian Lillard is one of the worst PG defenders in the league, and will have an extremely tough time with the size of Westy. Over the last 3 times these teams faced off, Westbrook put up very solid FD totals of 58, 65 and 68. I would project him for a similar number tonight, with the upside for 80. The Blazers are also one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, which should give Westbrook an easy shot at a triple double. The price is definitely high here, but you have to strongly consider him on a slate where he could be the only player to eclipse 50. Westbrook isn't a must play, but is a great one. Kyle Lowry FD - $9000 DK - $9200 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 47.6 DK - 51.03 Cory Joseph FD - $3500 DK - $3200 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 19.67 DK - 20.55 At the time of writing this, I have absolutely no idea what is going on here. Derozan has been out for about a week, though he did partially practice yesterday. He, along with Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson, is questionable. Lowry didn't practice due to an illness, and his status could be in serious jeopardy here. If Lowry does miss, you can just pug in Cory Joseph. He is already a good play right now, and would be a 100% must play if Lowry is ruled out. If Lowry does play, you have to give him a lot of consideration. I don't think he plays against the Nets unless he is fully healthy, and the Q tag could keep his ownership down. Dinwiddie and Isaiah Whitehead have no chance to cover...
