DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Monday 3/6/17
DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Monday 3/6/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie returns to the podcast to discuss a huge Monday in the NBA. There are 12 games on the slate and it’s already looking like value all around for both FanDuel and DraftKings. He goes game-by-game discussing the different cash options and how some injury pieces will possibly effect the value in different players. Some of the more interesting games include the Knicks and Magic with the latter finally seeing more consistent minutes from their starters. Vucevic sitting again would also open the door for Bismarck Biyombo to put up major minutes on the very cheap. Another game to target is the 76ers and Bucks with guys like Dario Saric, Richaun Holmes, Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon looking like values. Finally, the Rockets and Spurs should be a fun one to watch and we could see big minutes out of Kawhi, Harden, Aldridge and Gasol to name a few. All of that and more for a full Wednesday in the NBA. Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 3/6/17
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/6/17 Well it's a huge Monday slate, and after a strong weekend for the line-up optimizer, there are a ton of great value plays to start the week. The big decision will actually come down to where we want to spend up. There are value plays for miles (that I'll spell out below), but it might wind up being tough to figure out which of them to prioritize. Let's see if we can't un-muddy the waters a bit. Point Guard Mike Conley FD - $7800 DK - $8100 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 40.6 DK - 42.9 With so much value flying around tonight, I'm starting to think that point guard is a good place to invest a little bit more of your salary. Instead of going super high end, though, I'm taking a hard look at Mike Conley. Brooklyn combines playing the fastest pace in the league with the league's worst defense, and that predictably this has caused them to yield the most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards. For his part, Conley has been a rock solid value on these prices recently, averaging 5.4x points per dollar in his last 4 contests (in admittedly good match-ups). No sweat about his weak schedule recently for this one - this is a dream match-up and a dream spot to play Conley in all formats. Derrick Rose FD - $6500 DK - $6300 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 32.68 DK - 34.54 He's certainly no Conley, but Rose provides some excellent consistency and value on his price as well. Like Conley, he's topped 5x points per dollar in each of his last 4 games. We also have the additional information of how he's done against Orlando specifically, putting together a solid 19/7/4 against them in spite of playing the fewest minutes he's played in any of his recent games. It's no fluke, either. The Magic have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season. Starting your cash games with Conley and Rose looks phenomenal, and just writing it up has me excited for the value on this slate. Ty Lawson FD - $4600 DK - $4600 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 29.01 DK...

Point Guard Jrue Holiday FD - $7700 DK - $7400 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 36.77 DK - 39.86 Holiday was expected to see a dip in production with DeMarcus Cousins joining the team. Instead, he has played well with Cousins and has been able to put up 30+ in 3 of his last 4. It looks like he may not shoot the ball quite as much, but will still have the ball in his hands a lot and get enough shots to make it worth the while. The Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league against point guards, allowing over 46 fantasy points per game, which ranks 2nd worst in the league behind just the Suns. D'Angelo Russell has been absolutely atrocious on defense and that won't change until at least next season. Holiday will eat up this defense with pick n rolls, using both Cousins and Davis to create space and attack the rim. Holiday will have a great opportunity to come through at a modest price tag in a match-up that provides a ton of upside. He's also extremely safe with a floor around 30 due to his locked minutes and forced usage. Holiday is a fantastic option in both formats on all sites. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6400 DK - $7100 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 33.92 DK - 36.8 The Pelicans are one of the teams we will spend a lot of salary on tonight, though the same can't be said for their opponent in the LA Lakers. Russell is the only guard I have interest in on this team, as both Nick Young and Jordan Clarkson have been horrible and have ben getting inconsistent minutes. Russell has taken the guard responsibilities on his shoulders, topping 25 fantasy points in 5 straight contests. Russell also hit 35 in 3 of those 5 games, destroying tournament value. He gets a match-up with the Pelicans, who rank 21st in the league against PG's and gives up close to 44 FP a night. Russell should have plenty of success against Holiday, who has been very lackluster individually on defense. Russell is definitely a lot riskier than we would like to admit, as he can have a 10...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 3/3/17
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/3/17 Big old Friday in the Association tonight with 10 games going. Of course we've got the Nets playing so we'll want to consider anyone lucky enough to take the court against them. Plus Westbrook against the Suns, Toronto without Lowry, and much more. Let's get to it. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guards Russell Westbrook FD - $13000 DK - $13100 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 63.45 DK - 67.98 I mean what explanation do we really need here? It’s a daily struggle to find new and “creative” ways to write up Mr. Trip Dubs and explain why he’s a solid cash game play. Tonight he plays a Phoenix squad playing the fourth fastest pace and fourth worst defense in the league. This is just about the perfect matchup to target Westbrook who has a crazy high floor and even at $13K is firmly in play and considered “safe”. With such a big slate there is typically enough marginal cheap plays to fill in the gaps throughout a lineup to justify paying the absurd cost. But if anyone can pay it, it’s Westbrook. George Hill FD - $6000 DK - $6300 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 34.73 DK - 36.79 He was a complete bottom feeder against the Timberwolves on Wednesday and was benched early because of the blowout. I suspect people look to that game (and the general feeling about Hill not being all that exciting a player) as a reason to not target him here. But this is the exact matchup we want to play a point guard (or really anyone) against the Nets. They’re allowing about 7% more scoring and 8% more assists than league average against opposing point guards and Hill is coming at a fair mid range price considering his relative minutes floor and the opposition. Dennis Schroder FD - $6500 DK - $6200 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 31.83 DK - 34.27 While the Cavs are a solid defensive team all around, they do struggle against point guards mostly because of Kyrie Irving. They are allowing about 3% more scoring and 3% more assists to opposing point guards on the year. The concern, as always with Schroder is if Coach Bud will keep him in the same...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12800 DK - $13300 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 60.67 DK - 64.65 Westbrook opens it up here with one of the best match-ups in basketball for PG's, Damian Lillard. Lillard is one of the absolute worst defenders in basketball, finishing in the bottom 5 in DefRtg in each of the last 2 seasons. We're all well aware of what Westbrook is capable of, consistently sitting above 60 fantasy points on a night basis. While the price is absolutely insane at this point, it's for good reason. Westbrook is by far the most consistent and safe option on the slate, finishing below 50 fantasy points just once in the last 12 games. He's also been over 60 in 8 of those which speaks volumes on just how dominant he is. The Blazers don't hold a light to what Westbrook brings to the table here and he will demand extra attention from the tip. With all of that being said, the price does matter. This is a slate with a lack of value, so it could be tough to get down to Westbrook in cash. In tournaments, though, his ownership may be down a bit (relatively for a 3-game slate) for the player he is. With a floor of 60 and a ceiling over 80, don't overlook Westbrook due to his astronomical price. Damian Lillard FD - $9100 DK - $8800 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 42.97 DK - 46.03 This is a game we will be targeting a ton, which goes without being said considering the first 2 picks here. Lillard may not have the same upside as Westbrook, but he's also not anywhere near as expensive. Don't get me wrong, Lillard isn't cheap. He has seen a price jump recently due to his strong play and big fantasy performances. He gets a terrific match-up with the Thunder tonight, who give up a ton to opposing point guards. While Westbrook is a talented defender, he's far more concerned about offense and how he's gonna carry a team full of role players. That has left PG's open this year, with the Thunder giving up more than 45 FP per game to them. Lillard has a phenomenal matchup...
