What We Know Brook Lopez has been ruled out against the Mavericks Lopez is the focal point of this Nets offense, so his absence is a big deal. With Justin Hamilton being the only other center on the team, expect them to play down quite a bit. This match-up with the Mavs should allow them to do that with ease, as Dirk will be playing a lot of the 5 and he doesn't do much inside the paint. Trevor Booker is my favorite of the bunch and I could see him having an extremely solid game at a very cheap price across the industry. Justin Hamilton will also pick up a few minutes, but I have no interest outside of large-field GPP's. Nerlens Noel has been ruled out with knee soreness This is a bit of a bummer, as Noel is a guy I had a lot of interest in. With him out, Dirk Nowitzki and Harrison Barnes get the biggest bump. The Mavs will match the Nets and play small, which entails Dirk playing the 5 and Barnes the 4. Barnes is one of my favorite options on the slate and we'll get to him in a bit. I will only have exposure to Dirk in cash games as we just haven't seen enough upside at his price. DeMarre Carroll is considered questionable against the Hawks With Carroll out last game, P.J. Tucker saw 38 minutes and ut up 18 fantasy points. While Tucker isn't the most reliable fantasy producer, he is pretty safe if Carroll is out. You can project him for a safe 35 minutes and will be just fine against the Hawks. He makes sense in all formats, though I wouldn't hesitate to switch off if another value SF popped up. What We're Waiting to Know Nikola Jokic and Danilo Gallinari are questionable to play against the Celtics Both of these guys are huge pieces for the Nuggets and will make...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/10/17 This isn't as big a Friday slate as we're used to with only eight games on tap. For a TGIF kind of situation that's almost a mini-slate. But we'll make due with some interesting value cropping up early and injury news to we'll monitor throughout the day. Point Guards Isaiah Thomas FD - $9200 DK - $8700Opponent - DENProj Pts FD - 46 DK - 48.59 It seems like forever since we’ve really had to consider IT3 in cash games because after a torrid stretch his price had climbed to an untenable figure and he was better left as a GPP play. But the price is coming back to Earth on the little guy and tonight he gets one of the best matchups in the NBA for opposing point guards. Denver’s allowing about 7% more scoring and 8% more assists than league average to PGs. This is thanks to being 8th in pace and dead last in defensive efficiency. This is basically the perfect matchup who’s still jacking up a ton of shots and before the Warriors’ game had scored at least 30 actual points in four of the last six games. It’s a perfect time to buy. Kemba Walker FD - $8400 DK - $8100Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 41.2 DK - 43.85 Kemba’s price is up a little bit in the short term thanks to a healthy scoring output built on torrid shooting from beyond the arc. In his last five games Walker is shooting 45% from three and averaging over 21 shots per game. The Magic are below average across the board against opposing point guards this season though it should be said that if they are playing with Biyombo rather than Vucevic tonight that does increase the rim protection. But I’m still buying on Kemba who should continue seeing a healthy diet of minutes. Kemba is a score-first one who needs to get the ball in the hoop (of course) but this is a solid matchup against a weaker Magic defense. Elfrid Payton FD - $7000 DK - $7000Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 31.42 DK - 32.98 Is he Russell Westbrook-lite? A triple double machine now that he’s been unleashed in a post-Vucevic world? I think’s of course a...

DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 3/9/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a Thursday of NBA action with five games on the slate. The highest total of the night, by far, is the Suns and Lakers who come in at a whopping 230 implied points. It should be an up and down affair with guys like D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram, Alan Williams and TJ Warren looking very solid for cash games. There’s also the Spurs taking on the Thunder with Kawhi Leonard likely coming in as a chalk play across both sites. They discuss whether or not you can pay up for Russell Westbrook or if anyone else in this game deserves a look. Plenty of talk on Lebron, the Trail Blazers taking on the Sixers and more. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $8800 DK - $8900 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 41.36 DK - 44.39 Lillard will start us off here at point guard on a slate with only 5 games. Out of those 5 games, this affair between the Blazers and 76ers should be one of the more fruitful in terms of DFS. Lillard has been playing extremely well lately, topping 38 points in 6 straight and a few games over 50. He gets a match-up with the 76ers tonight, who are one of the weaker perimeter defensive teams in the league. Giving up over 47 FP per game to PG's, Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell are not good on-ball defenders. Lillard also plays much better at home, scoring over 2 points per game and 1.5 assists. He has been shooting the ball more as well, which has led to a usage bump since last month. While there are only 5 games on this slate, there are plenty of ways to pay up at PG. Lillard is our favorite on the board, though you can definitely look up to a guy like Westbrook or down to a Chris Paul or Conley in tournaments. With that being said, the ownership levels should be lowered by the many options available. Lillard is a very solid option in both cash games and tournaments, with a 4.5x floor and a 7.5x ceiling. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6700 DK - $7100 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 33.27 DK - 36.16 There are 5 elite PG's listed above $8k on FD and $8.6k on DK. All 5 of those guys can be considered and obviously have the ability to put up huge numbers. Chances are at least a couple of them will have nice nights, but none of them really stand out, outside of Lillard. Taking a step down in salary from those guys, we will take a look at D'Angelo Russell. Russell has been playing extremely well for the Lakers, finishing with 30 fantasy points in 6 of his last 8, with only one game under 20. Russell has been notoriously inconsistent, so it's great to see any level of consistency out of him at this point. It looks like the...
