But when Lawson does play he's getting some major minutes. That's good news against a Magic team that has allowed higher than average production to opposing point guards this season. Lawson can turn into an assist machine in the right matchup and this could be it. Payton is a decent defender from a quickness standpoint, but the pace of this game should favor Lawson. Rajon Rondo - FD 5900 DK 5900 DFSTR 5300 Doesn't feel fantastic recommending this guy in the second spot, especially when point guard is typically a loaded position. But Rondo's stepped up his game lately and will face a Suns' team that ranks third in PACE on this season. That means a load of possessions from the opposing point guard. Plus, take away a bunch of JJ Barea's minutes and I think you see more Rondo in this one. Our projection system actually doesn't adore him at these prices, but it's hard to ignore what Elfrid Payton has done of late. System does like Reggie Jackson as well. Shooting Guards Randy Foye - FD 4800 DK 4800 DFSTR 3300 Foye has been playing fairly steady minutes in the Denver rotation since Shaw left town and has been mildly productive in the two slot. The big news here is that Orlando, while feisty, doesn't offer a ton of defensive resistance even with Oladipo providing some decent individual D. Foye gets up double digit shots a game and hoists them up mostly from beyond the arc. If he gets hot, he'll crush this price and I think the volume should more than be there in this matchup. Bradley Beal - FD 5800 DK 5800 DFSTR 5500 Because the Wizards don't seem concerned that Beal's injuries are related to his minutes (which they may not be, but whatever) they continue to run him out for huge amounts of time each game. He still pushes up against 40 minutes on a night basis. A slight difference in his recent game is that he hasn't gotten up as many shots. That has depressed his value some because scoring is his primary function. But still...

Point Guards Alexey Shved - FD 6000 DK 6200 DFSTR Who would have thought, earlier in the year, that we'd do multiple write ups on Alexey Shved. I mean this is his third team just this season. But as it is in the NBA, you need only find yourself on a team of players worse than you to all of a sudden stand out. The Knicks everyone, where Alexey Shved becomes a viable NBA option. Considering his minutes and ability to pick up points across the stat line, I'm not even really worried about the impending blowout. The Knicks have no reason to rest starters when they're getting blitzed. And this could be a night we see the Spurs rest some starters (because the Knicks and all). Beno Udrih - FD 3700 DK 3800 DFSTR 3300 It gets a little weird at point guard after Shved so here's to hoping* Conley sits again giving Udrih the start at rock bottom prices. He's been a serviceable replacement with Conley on the shelf. Keep an ear out for news on this as we get closer to game time. Bucks Point Guards I think I would consider playing Michael Carter-Williams, Tyler Ennis or Jerryd Bayless at their respective prices if I had a clear grasp over the starter situation leading into game time. MCW was a disaster for me the other night, but that was simply an information void, not a skill thing. This is another situation to monitor. *I say this only from a DFS standpoint. I don't really root for injuries. Bad juju Shooting Guards Victor Oladipo - FD 7700 DK 7700 DFSTR 6500 He logs so many minutes it's ridiculous. If the game stays close (and Orlando has been feistier of late) then expect him to push close to 40 minutes as they will want him out there guarding Harden. He gets an added bonus too because James isn't exactly a glove on defense. On a slate with some tougher defenses going I love getting Oladipo in at shooting guard and I'll be hard pressed to get away from him tonight. Giannis Antetokounmpo - FD 6800 DK 6900 DFSTR 5600 He can be another minutes beast in that there will be games in which he pushes in the high 30s. This is a little variable so I wouldn't necessarily count...

I mean, what do we really say about this guy at this point? He's in full on cheat code, video game mode. He's your buddy you play against that you insist knows something about the game that you don't know. It's just crazy and there's no rational explanation except he's the best and that's all there is to it. Now the question is: Can I pay? He's an exorbitant $13,300 on FanDuel. I will make the claim right now that this is the highest price we will ever see for a player this season, and maybe forever. There is still a case for playing him, but the upside diminishes with each $1K of salary that seems to get added every game. Putting him in here not because the system loves him, but because the recent track record is simply too much to ignore. Chris Paul - FD 10500 DK 10300 DFSTR 8700 If you are going to fade Russell today (never a great feeling) then opting across the court might be the way to go. For all he does on the court, Westbrook does allow production to opposing point guards and there's almost no doubt CP3 gets way up for this game. You grab him for significantly less than Westbrook in a game where Paul has a lot of upside. Ricky Rubio - FD 8200 DK 8300 DFSTR 5900 Fast-paced game. Very thin Phoenix back court. Tons of minutes. This has all the makings of a monster game for Rubio who can get it done in so many different ways. In his last six games (which include teams like Memphis, Chicago, and two against CP3) Rubio is averaging a 12/11/6/2 (steals). That gets it done at these prices and his floor is very high because of how he diversifies his contributions. Ty Lawson - FD 7500 DK 6900 DFSTR The Hawks are such a solid team that it's hard to get too excited about their opponents. But Lawson has seen his price dip of late, and with Denver's new, steadier rotation there is at least some chance they hang in this game. If the minutes are there for Ty then he pays these prices. Mo Williams -...
