Trades that impact tonight Pelicans receive DeMarcus Cousins for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway Rockets receive Lou Williams for Corey Brewer What We Know Chris Paul will remain out There was some talk of a return here, but they have been hushed. He has been announced out and will give it another go next game. Austin Rivers and Raymond Felton will continue to head the PG spot. Al-farouq Aminu has been rule dout vs the Magic Aminu does play a big role for this team, as a defensive stopper and rebounder. With him out, Maurice Harkless will be forced to step up. He has shown his ability to have big games in the past and this sets up like another prime opportunity. Harkless figures to see at least 28 minutes and makes for an interesting option across the board. What We're Waiting to Know Kenneth Faried is listed as doubtful vs the Kings Faried has been out for a couple weeks and it looks like he will miss at least 1 more game. If he does return, it will eat into the minutes of Plumlee and Hernangomez. If Faried misses, all 3 of the big men are great options. The "Every Lineup" Guys Darren Collison We talked about both of these guys in the main picks article and they remain solid options for the same reason. Collison is one of only 2 point guards on the roster, with only one shooting guard. That will force Collison into at least 35 minutes and a lock for cash game value. The tournament appeal is obviously there as well as he should hit 35 fantasy points with ease. The Nuggets are a pretty easy match-up for point guards giving up over 40 fantasy points per game. It seems like we never left. Today’s a really interesting one considering it’s also the trade deadline and we could see some players on the move from the games going down this evening. It will mean monitoring news and making adjustments on the fly. Obviously the big piece of speculation for tonight is how Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis fit together on the Pelicans. While almost definitely making them a better team, it seems like a “wait and see” approach is prudent for projecting either player. Point Guard Darren Collison FD - $5500 DK - $7400 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 30.76 DK - 32.5 Collison is still a member of the Sacramento Kings as of Wednesday night, though we're unsure if that lasts through tomorrow's deadline. The Kings come into the game extremely shorthanded, with just Lawson and Collison as the two point guards. Tyreke Evans could see some minutes at point guard, but will likely come off the bench with the 2nd unit and jack up a bunch of shots. Collison saw over 40 minutes in 3 of his last 4 before the ASB and while I don't think he gets there tonight, he should get to at least 36. The Denver Nuggets offer a solid match-up, as Jameer Nelson is not a guy to be scared of. He hasn't been able to guard a good scorer in 5 years, let alone a guy like Collison who can shoot off the dribble or drive to the rim. Make sure you keep an eye out for trade news up until 3 P.M, which is when rosters will be set in stone. If Collison remains on the Kings, he is a solid play in both cash games and tournaments. His floor sits around 25 here with a ceiling that exceeds 40. Kemba Walker FD - $7700 DK - $7700 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 40.62 DK - 43.56 Kemba finished off the first half of the season with 2 fantastic games, scoring 43 fantasy points in each. DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 2/16/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie takes to a quick Thursday NBA podcast to talk about a small two-game slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. Even though it’s only two games there’s still plenty of DFS relevant issues to discuss. The major one is whether or not Dwayne Wade plays tonight. His availability effects the projections for just about the whole Bulls’ team, Jimmy Butler most notably. But there’s also Michael Carter-Williams and some other bench pieces to consider as well. The Wizards-Pacers game has plenty to consider with really all five of the Wizards’ starters in play. John Wall and Jeff Teague are likely cash game chalk tonight though guys like Otto Porter, Paul George and Bradley Beal make for solid options in the middle-upper tier. Point Guard John Wall FD - $10400 DK - $10700 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 47.54 DK - 50.89 With only 2 games on this slate, we have to give a long hard look at each and every superstar. Wall and the Wizards will face off with the Pacers tonight, who play very pace-neutral, though they prefer to play fast. Jeff Teague is a very average defender, giving up almost 50 FPPG to PG's since the start of the season. His price has definitely risen, but it's worth it. Wall has consistently been over 45 FP, with a consistent ceiling around 65 or 70. Without many other ways to pay up tonight, Wall is solid in all formats. Vegas has this game sitting at a 217 over/under with a -2.5 line, which suggests everyone will play big minutes. Indiana has played much better at home this year, so I wouldn't worry about the blowout at all here. With the obvious lack of options at PG, Wall will be high owned. However, everything is relative on a 2 game slate, including % owned. Wall has been playing huge minutes, as that's really the only way the Wizards can win. Wall is as safe a bet as you can find at any spot tonight and obviously has immense upside as well. Get some exposure. Isaiah Thomas FD - $10000 DK - $9300 Opponent - CHI Proj Pts FD - 45.93 DK - 48.81 Isaiah Thomas comes in as our second stud PG along with John Wall. They are pretty close for us and you can really go either way. There is an argument for going both, but you will be forced to uncomfortably pay down elsewhere. However, that's a move that could certainly pay off in the long run. Thomas will likely be covered by the likes of Carter-Williams and Jerian grant to start. He will absolutely demolish both of them and likely see Jimmy Butler by the time the 4th quarter rolls around. While Butler is a dominant defender, Thomas has shown his ability to obliterate some of the best on-ball defenders in the league. This is a guy who is 100% unstoppable at times, which is usually every single 4th quarter. While his floor...
