What We Know Kyle Lowry will miss the rest of the regular season While Lowry should be back in time for the playoffs, this is devastating news for the Raptors. Lowry is obviously an essential piece to this team and makes a huge impact on every aspect of the team. In terms of DFS, 2 people will benefit most; DeMar DeRozan and Cory Joseph. DeRozan has been absolutely phenomenal without Lowry and will continue to see an uptick in usage. Joseph will pick up around 30-35 minutes and is a lock in cash games. Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out against Porzigis has been hurt all season, so nothing new here. With Joakim Noah out as well, that leaves Hernangomez and O'Quinn. Hernangomez is the preferred option and he can be played in all formats. His price has risen, but rightfully so. As for O'Quinn, he is a better option in tournaments. His minutes can be iffy and this is a team that can play small if they want. Khris Middleton has been ruled out for rest purposes Middle just returned from injury recently, so we certainly know what the lineup looks like when he is out. Malcolm Brogdon figures to see the biggest boost, as he will pick up about 10 more minutes and a few extra shots. Michael Beasley could also see a few more minutes off the bench in order to keep up with the Cavs scoring. What We're Waiting to Know LeBron James is questionable to play with strep throat This is obviously humongous news. If LeBron plays, he and Irving are both good plays. If LeBron misses, Irving becomes an elite play, while guys like Richard Jefferson and Iman Shumpert become interesting as GPP punts. With that being said, Kyrie is really the only guy who gets a huge bump in my book. The "Every Lineup" Guys DeMar DeRozan DeRozan is a guy who benefits a ton from the Lowry...

Point Guard Cory Joseph FD - $4400 DK - $5200Opponent - NYProj Pts FD - 24.92 DK - 26.1 It looks like Lowry might miss a few more games here, and if he does, you can expect to see Joseph be a chalk play once again. When healthy, the Raptors are a two man team. When they're missing one of their big two, everyone else immediately becomes an excellent value. Joseph played 36 minutes and paid better than 6x on this FanDuel price against Boston, and as of this writing he's on pace for similar minutes and similar production against the Trail Blazers. The Knicks are a fine match-up for opposing point guards, but focusing on the match-up sort of misses the point - this is just a straight price and opportunity mismatch. Isaiah Thomas FD - $9300 DK - $8700Opponent - ATLProj Pts FD - 45.12 DK - 47.8 Thomas was pretty lousy in his first game back after the all-star break, but I wouldn't get too wrapped up in one performance. He shot 35% from the field and 30% from 3 - if he shot his normal percentages he would have been fine in a bad match-up with the Raptors. This match-up will be a heck of a lot better than that one was - the Hawks have allowed the 7th most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, where the Raptors are a below league average match-up. Thomas is also playing without Bradley, which has given him about a 10% usage bump on the season. And here's a dirty secret about this slate - it's really, really shallow. A combination of uncertainty around injuries and some tough defenses means we don't have a ton of options, and Thomas allows us to pay up a bit for a good floor at a position greatly lacking safety. Dennis Schroder FD - $6500 DK - $6300Opponent - BOSProj Pts FD - 30.14 DK - 32.56 If safety's your thing, though, you might want to consider Schroder. The Celtics are a slightly above league average match-up on the season, but even better when Avery Bradley is sidelined and hiding Thomas becomes more difficult. Schroder, meanwhile, has averaged 5x+ on these prices since February 4th -...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $12800 DK - $12900 Opponent - NO Proj Pts FD - 65.11 DK - 69.38 We start with the slate's highest priced player, Russell Westbrook. Westbrook looks to be himself after demolishing the Lakers in route to an easy victory, finishing with 17 points, 18 rebounds, and 17 assists. He gets a match-up with the Pelicans tonight, who have just shaken up the entire roster. Jrue Holiday will cover Westbrook 90% of the time and will struggle. Holiday lacks the speed to stay with Westbrook, so foul trouble could be in his early future. We all know the drill here. Westbrook is the top play on the slate and we have to weigh the pros and cons of fitting him in. On this slate, I will likely be paying up for Westbrook. There are solid ways to pay down and Westbrook is far more safe than anyone on the board. I could sit here and name more stats as to why Westbrook is good, but we all know just how good he is. Victor Oladipo is also currently questionable, which could give Westbrook a bump in usage and shots. This is a game we will target a lot with high priced options, as this could easily be a shootout in the 220's. Westbrook is a prime option in both cash games and tournaments. Chris Paul FD - $8600 DK - $8300 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 43.42 DK - 45.64 Chris Paul returned from his long absence by playing 33 productive minutes against the Spurs. The Spurs play very slow and are a tough match-up for point guards this season. As for the Hornets, the same can't be said. Kemba Walker is a notoriously bad defender and will struggle big-time with Paul. Remember, this is still a guy who is arguably a top 3 PG in the league. He has the upside to go crazy and the safety to keep you afloat even in the worst scenario. It looks like Paul is fully healthy as well, as his rotations weren't cut short in the 2nd half. He should play at least another 33 minutes in this one, with the possibility of more. This price is way too...

What We Know Dennis Schroder has been suspended for 1 game Schroder is obviously a huge part of this offense, so his absence will cause a lot. For one, Malcolm Delaney will immediately step in and have a big role. We will get to him in a bit. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kent Bazemore also figure to play a few more minutes and have the ball in his hands a little bit more. The Heat are a slow team, but can give up plenty of fantasy points. What We're Waiting to Know Chris Paul is officially listed as questionable CP3 has been out for a couple months, so we could see things get shaken up here. If Paul remains out, we know the drill. If Paul plays, Rivers and Felton both lose a ton of appeal while DeAndre Jordan gains a little bit. He plays well with Paul and has a much higher ceiling when he's active. The "Every Lineup" Guys Dario Saric With Joel Embiid out, Nerlens Noel and Ersan Ilyasova being traded, Saric is a lock for huge minutes. This guy is a must start in my book, as I expect him to see upwards of 38-40 minutes and a whole bunch of usage. He has been over 35 fantasy points in each of his last 3 games, although he struggled from the field in 2 of them. I don’t think this is a fluke for Saric and it looks like the 76ers agree. They have given him a huge piece of the future and I think he handles it well. As for tonight, he faces off with the Wizards. They are not too great down low and can give up plenty of interior points, as well as open 3 pointers. Saric is a lock in both cash games and tournaments. Malcolm Delaney This one is pretty cut and dry. With Dennis Schroder suspended, Delaney will step in and play at least 30...
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – 2/24/16
Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/24/16 Well we are clear from the trade deadline and I have to say it was just a little bit underwhelming. Sure, I wanted to see another big name like Buckets or PG move, but alas we are left with the Bojan's and P.J.'s of the world changing locations. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer, our NFL Optimizer, and our new NFL player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. Point Guards Russell Westbrook FD - $12700 DK - $13000Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 62 DK - 66.45 Back from the All-Star, still the same old Russ. The Thunder made a couple of non-insignificant moves at the deadlines losing Cameron Payne, Anthony Morrow and King Joffrey in exchange for Taj Gibson and Dougie McDermott. While it likely helps them as a squad, I don’t think it impacts Westbrook’s fantasy output at all. He’s still the triple-double machine and tonight faces a Lakers’ squad ranked seventh in overall pace and second to last in defensive efficiency. Because there are more than a few cheaper options available because of yesterday’s player movement, fitting Russ’s salary shouldn’t be all that difficult and we’ll want to pay up for a guy who went into the ASB averaging a cool 31/11/10. Not bad. Mike Conley FD - $7500 DK - $7500Opponent - INDProj Pts FD - 36.64 DK - 38.97 This is an interesting night in the NBA for DFS purposes considering we have a lot of good defenses (Utah, Memphis, San Antonio, Atlanta) playing which effectively eliminates much of the player pool we’d want to consider. In close games we do see Conley play mid 30’s minutes and he’s been solid in the scoring department for a Grizzlies team in a seemingly constant state of flux with minutes and injury issues. Conley isn’t an exciting play by any stretch of the imagination but he’s a solid upper-middl-tier play against a very average defensive team in the Pacers. George Hill FD - $5900 DK - $6100Opponent - MILProj Pts FD - 28.54 DK - 30.4 I know you don’t want to see a name like George Hill on your daily plays list. I get it. Save the comments. But Hill is one of those guys who, while uninspiring and not exactly exciting, does get the job done in close games. He’ll see minutes in the mid 30’s and is good for...
