DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 3/9/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a Thursday of NBA action with five games on the slate. The highest total of the night, by far, is the Suns and Lakers who come in at a whopping 230 implied points. It should be an up and down affair with guys like D’Angelo Russell, Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram, Alan Williams and TJ Warren looking very solid for cash games. There’s also the Spurs taking on the Thunder with Kawhi Leonard likely coming in as a chalk play across both sites. They discuss whether or not you can pay up for Russell Westbrook or if anyone else in this game deserves a look. Plenty of talk on Lebron, the Trail Blazers taking on the Sixers and more. Point Guard Damian Lillard FD - $8800 DK - $8900 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 41.36 DK - 44.39 Lillard will start us off here at point guard on a slate with only 5 games. Out of those 5 games, this affair between the Blazers and 76ers should be one of the more fruitful in terms of DFS. Lillard has been playing extremely well lately, topping 38 points in 6 straight and a few games over 50. He gets a match-up with the 76ers tonight, who are one of the weaker perimeter defensive teams in the league. Giving up over 47 FP per game to PG's, Sergio Rodriguez and T.J. McConnell are not good on-ball defenders. Lillard also plays much better at home, scoring over 2 points per game and 1.5 assists. He has been shooting the ball more as well, which has led to a usage bump since last month. While there are only 5 games on this slate, there are plenty of ways to pay up at PG. Lillard is our favorite on the board, though you can definitely look up to a guy like Westbrook or down to a Chris Paul or Conley in tournaments. With that being said, the ownership levels should be lowered by the many options available. Lillard is a very solid option in both cash games and tournaments, with a 4.5x floor and a 7.5x ceiling. D'Angelo Russell FD - $6700 DK - $7100 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 33.27 DK - 36.16 There are 5 elite PG's listed above $8k on FD and $8.6k on DK. All 5 of those guys can be considered and obviously have the ability to put up huge numbers. Chances are at least a couple of them will have nice nights, but none of them really stand out, outside of Lillard. Taking a step down in salary from those guys, we will take a look at D'Angelo Russell. Russell has been playing extremely well for the Lakers, finishing with 30 fantasy points in 6 of his last 8, with only one game under 20. Russell has been notoriously inconsistent, so it's great to see any level of consistency out of him at this point. It looks like the...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/8/17 Welcome to the daily updates and injury news article. We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Last night's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge will be rested against the Kings This is definitely huge news, even on a day with a ton of news. Kawhi and LaMarcus both take up a ton of minutes and usage for this Spurs team and a few guys will benefit. Kyle Anderson and David Lee figure to see the biggest boost and both are good plays on both sites. However, Kyle Anderson is a far better value on DK where the pricing is much tougher. Pau Gasol could also ee some extended run and makes for an interesting value play against a weak Kings interior. Nikola Vucevic has been ruled out ith an achilles injury This one is pretty cut and dry. If Vucevic is out, you look to Bismack Biyombo. he will once again playat least 30 minutes and score 25 fantasy points. THe Bulls are pretty weak down low and he should have no problem destroying value. Derrick Favors has been ruled out with knee soreness This came out of nowhere, but not really when you consider his past. This is a situation I I'll mostly stay away from, as there are plenyt of other ways to go on this slate. Rudy Gobert will continue seeing big minutes and he's in play against the Rockets. What We're Waiting to Know Nikola Jokic is questionable to play Jokic looks like he'll miss again and we should see a different run of minutes in this one. The Nuggets got away with playing small in the last game, which left Hernangomez and Arthur very few minutes. Markieff Morris should present a much different challenge and one that they will need a big to take on. Hernangomez has shown a lot of GPP upside and he is very interesting. Mason Plumlee should also see considerable run against a fast-paced Wizards team. Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler, and Rajon Rondo are all questionable to play This game could turn...

Injury news is going to be the story today with all kinds of stuff hanging out there in the wind. Vucevic has already been rule out which means we can go back to the Biyombo well again with other Magic coming in as value plays. Some of the more interesting teams include the Hornets who are going to be without Kaminsky, the Bulls who may be without Butler and Wade, the Rockets possibly without Ryan Anderson and Nikola Jokic’s status up in the air. Then at the end of the podcast Doug talks with DFSR’s lead PGA analyst Chris Durell about things to look out for in this weekend’s Valspar Championship. Subscribe to this podcast on...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard John Wall FD - $10200 DK - $10700 Opponent - DEN Proj Pts FD - 50.04 DK - 52.93 Wall is coming off a thriller against the Suns last night where he almost hit 60 fantasy points. While the back-to-back may scare a lot of people away from Wall, he is no average player. Wall has played huge minutes in B2B's, averaging 37.5 on the season. He's also had a better game in the second half of each B2B so far, so it doesn't look like he's getting too fatigued. This match-up with the Nuggets is a fantastic one in terms pace and DFS appeal. Wall should obliterate the likes of Jameer Nelson and Jamal Murray on defense, considering they both have negative defensive ratings. The Nuggets don't have any shutdown perimeter defender and will be forced to let Nelson and Murray do the best they can. The Nuggets also lack the presence of a rim protector, which is vital in slowing down John Wall. While Wall is expensive on both sites. he's well worth it in cash games. You know he'll get you 45 as a floor and has an unquestioned ceiling of 75. He may also go a bit under-owned, as it seems like a lot of people are on Isaiah and Curry, who are both similarly priced. John wall under-owned against the Nuggets? Yes, please. Goran Dragic FD - $7400 DK - $7200 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 35.65 DK - 37.78 Both James and Tyler Johnson were forced to sit out against the Cavs with minor injuries. There's a possibility they will both remain out tonight, which would leave a ton of usage and minutes for the rest of the team. Dragic is the leaders of this club and makes the heart beat. This match-up with the Hornets may not be ideal, but it's pretty close. Kemba Walker is one of the absolute worst defenders in the league and is far too small to deal with Dragic. The Hornets have ranked in the bottom 10 against PG's for the past 2 seasons and we have seen guards continually torch Kemba. They do have Batum who's a solid defender, but will be far more concerned with his responsibilities in Dion...
