DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Friday 3/24/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a huge night in the NBA. They start with a discussion on why DraftKings may have left off the two 10:30 games from their main slate and how that could show a change in how the industry views NBA injury news. After that, there’s an embarrassment of riches in terms of value tonight with a bunch of big money guys in plays matchups. James Harden leads the list, taking on a New Orleans team that he lit up for 70+ fantasy points just last week. Demarcus Cousins also makes for an interesting play in this game, coming off a huge performance last time out. After the the guys discuss the value you get with some Pacers facing the Nuggets, Jimmy Butler’s safety without Dwyane Wade, How some blowouts could effect player minutes and what to do with the Atlanta Hawks. We've got you completely covered. Point Guards Tyler Ulis FD - $6200 DK - $7100 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 35.54 DK - 37.56 As long as DFS sites don’t count FG%, Tyler the Creator is an elite option even at his elevated price. In his first four starts Tyler has averaged 41 minutes per game and 33 fantasy pts. Against MIA he attempted 11 FGA which is a bountiful amount, but in his prior three starts he took 18, 17, and 24 attempts and for a guy that has shot only 36% from the field in his first four starts it will be imperative he gets a full load of shots in order to make value. Facing Isaiah Thomas, Ulis gets one of the easiest PG matchups in the game (Thomas has a -4.31 Defensive Real Plus-Minus) but he faces the upward battle of keeping the game from blowing out since the Celtics are favored by 15 pts. Even if the game turns lopsided I still think Tyler will see his full set of minutes and with 40+ fantasy pt upside I like Tyler in all formats. Isaiah Thomas FD - $8500 DK - $8200 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 43.04 DK - 45.84 Isaiah Thomas shouldn’t have a problem against the pint size 5’9” and 150 pound Tyler Ulis. So let the battle of the tiny point guards begin! While Ulis will safely see anywhere from 35-40 minutes I can’t say the same for Thomas who has averaged only 31 minutes per game in the last two weeks. Additionally with Boston being favored by 15 pts, the fourth-quarter killer might be limited to only three quarters if the Suns can’t keep it close. Earlier this month when Eric Bledsoe was still playing the Suns managed to only loose by three points against Boston (106-109) and Thomas scored 48 fantasy pts at a $9k+ salary. Thomas can get it cooking in a hurry so a floor of 30 fantasy pts will not kill you but lets hope he can play all four...

What We Know Serge Ibaka will face his 1-game suspension tonight Ibaka has been a big piece of this Raptos offense with Lowry out, so DeRozan will see a nice bump in usage for sure. Patrick Patterson should be the main beneficiary in terms of minutes and makes for a pretty interesting play in all formats. Jonas Valunciunas could also see an uptick if the Raptors stay big. What we're waiting to know T.J. Warren is questionable to play against the Nets T.J. Warren has been playing tremendous for the Suns lately, so we will definitely want to keep an eye on this situation. I am completely off of Warren in a season where the Suns could care less about winning. There is a reach chance he sees limited minutes, even if fully active. If Warren is out, Derrick Jones could see big minutes. Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis would also be locked into huge minutes as the backup guards would have to play the 3. Derrick Rose is questionable to play against the Blazers Rose left the arena with a brace and limp last night, so who really knows what's going on here. If Rose is a full go, he makes for an extremely interesting play against Damian Lillard defense. If Rose misses, I would expect Ron Baker to start and be a pretty interesting GPP option. The "Every Lineup" Guys Tyler Ulis Ulis is going to see over 40 minutes once again and I just don't see the merit in fading on this slate. He has an elite match-up against the Nets and provides a ton of safety. Lin is an atrocious defender and Ulis will have no problem getting to the rim. The Suns want to see what they have in Ulis and he certainly wants to show them. He has been over 35 fantasy points in 3 of the last 4 and I think he returns there tonight. Ulis is a...

DFSR’s Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 3/23/17

DFSR's Daily Fantasy NBA Podcast for DraftKings and FanDuel Thursday 3/23/17 DFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a five game NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. The two most interesting games, from a DFS perspective come early with Toronto-Miami and Brooklyn-Phoenix. The Heat will be without Dion Waiters again which puts Goran Dragic, James Johnson and Josh Richardson firmly in play. Toronto will be without a suspended Serge Ibaka leaving (potentially) more shots for Demar Derozan, PJ Tucker and Cory Joseph. The guys also break down a Suns-Nets game that should see Tyler Ulis, Devon Booker and others with big upside against a terrible Nets’ team. All of this and more. Subscribe to this podcast on...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Tyler Ulis FD - $6800 DK - $7100 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 38.96 DK - 41 Ulis has been locked into 40 minutes over the last 4 and it's simply something we can't ignore. Even in a blowout, Ulis played 42 minutes and shot the ball plenty. While the price has definitely risen, you can play him in this match-up. Jeremy Lin and Spencer Dinwiddie are some of the absolute worst defenders in the league on the perimeter. Ulis will be able to use his speed and agility to get past the likes of Brook Lopez and Trevor Booker on screens. This game between the Suns and Nets has the highest over/under by far at 223, a full 17 points than the 2nd higher game. The point guards benefit most in fast-paced games and Ulis should definitely have a great game. Ulis did have an off night against Goran Dragic, but you can't really blame him. The Suns were getting blown out and he was the only starter left on the floor. This should be a far more competitive game and we should see Ulis approach 40 like we have come to expect. Goran Dragic FD - $8000 DK - $8000 Opponent - TOR Proj Pts FD - 37.49 DK - 40 Dragic and the Heat are coming off an astounding victory against the Suns where the starters didn't have to be pushed in the 4th quarter. Dragic ended up playing 24 minutes, which means he should have no reigns for at least a game or two. This match-up with the Raptors is a great one, as CoJo is a much worse defender than Lowry. Allowing nearly 52 fantasy points per game to point guards over the last 10, Joseph has struggled. He is not used to playing this many minutes and could be compensating on defense for spent energy.  Dragic is the leader of this Heat team and he's been pretty consistent as of late. While the upside might not be there for 60 or 70 fantasy points, nobody offers that outside of Lillard. Dragic does give you a 35 fantasy point floor that locks you into a good spot in cash games. Dragic makes a lot of sense on...
