Pts - 45.51 DK Proj. Pts - 49.15 At this point I don't need to expound on the virtues of one Mr. Stephen Curry. He's having an historic season and is one of the many reasons League Pass is filling up our televisions every time the Warriors play. Tonight he takes on the worst defense in the league and the team that can't defend opposing point guards even a little. The only worry with Curry is the Warriors beat down the Lakers so bad that he doesn't sniff anywhere near his normal run of minutes. The one good thing about Curry's rotations though is that he (typically) plays through the third quarter. So his floor is somewhere in the low thirties of minutes. That's plenty of time to hit value for Steph and he makes one of the top cash game plays on the night. Chris Paul - FD 8900 DK 8500 Opponent - DEN FD Proj. Pts - 39.91 DK Proj. Pts - 41.97 His price is still trending on the low side thanks to some injury issues and a slow start to the season. Paul hasn't seen some of the top end performances this season for a couple of reasons. The minutes are trending a little lower than expected and so is his shooting. Paul is shooting worse than his career average from the field (43% compared to 47%) which isn't helping him reach peak value. Not that he's "due" to turn this around, but it doesn't stand to reason he'll continue to shoot as bad over the long term....

I'm sweating down the smallest slate ever while writing these picks - a blessing and a curse. Only one game at a time... but I feel like I have every player on both sides. Oh boy. POINT GUARD There are a lot of if's at this position as of right now. I'll break some of them down here. If Jeff Teague sits again then Dennis Schroder instantly becomes a near must start at his prices. Additionally, if Bradley Beal is out again then Garrett Temple makes a cheap plug-and-play getting about thirty minutes from the shooting guard position. In many ways I'm hoping one of these cheaper options works out because the next level of points/$ plays aren't enticing even in the slightest. I'll write up a couple of them, but understand that the players listed above represent better opportunity if their situations work out. Tony Parker - FD 5200 DK 4700 Opponent - MEM FD Proj. Pts - 20.59 DK Proj. Pts - 21.22 He's seen an uptick in his minutes of late which has lead to some increased productivity. I mostly like the price on Parker if the guys above don't get their opportunity. Memphis isn't a good matchup mostly because their pace effects the opponent's volume. But Parker's salaries have high floors built in. Always a risk to get Pop'd on a certain night, but Parker's been getting up about 10 shots a game in the short term and getting the assist game going. Coming cheap enough to seriously consider. If none of the other cheap options work out then you need to seriously consider John Wall SHOOTING GUARD James Harden - FD 10300 DK 10200 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 43.56 DK Proj. Pts - 46.2 Dwight won't play in the second half of the back-to-back which does help Harden's expectation in this one. When Howard is on the court, Harden has a 30 usage over the last year...

He's insane and there isn't anything else to say about it. The question here is whether you can pay for him, and I think that it's close. Michael Carter-Williams - FD 6600 DK 6000 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 32.39 DK Proj. Pts - 33.04 Jerryd Bayless - FD 4400 DK 4800 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 19.47 DK Proj. Pts - 20.3 They come at different price points but I think you can consider both of them today. MCW has a lot of stink on him after last game for sure, but he is still a fine play all things considered. Bayless plays a lot of minutes for someone in his price range, though I wouldn't call the run necessarily secure. You are going to need a few mid tier or punt-ish plays on this slate and both of these guys fill the need in certain respects....

Pts - 55.01 I must admit, his price is starting to reach a level that is beginning to make me a little hesitant to roster him. But as long as Kevin Durant remains sidelined, Westbrook will always be my pick to produce the highest score, and tonight is no different. He's been on an absolute tear this year, and his usage has reached a ridiculously high point since KD went down. To add icing on the cake, the Pelicans rank 29th in the league defending the PG position, and play an up-tempo pace like the Thunder. With Davis back the a blow-out is less likely, so I like Westbrook to get his minutes and have a monster game. Note: Davis went down with an injury last night, and if he doesn't play the blow out does become a bit of a concern here. Ish Smith - FD 5400 DK 5500 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 25 DK Proj. Pts - 25.75 It's rare that we recommend two players opposing each other, but if you want to pay up for Westbrook and others, you need to find some cheaper guys who are going to get a ton of minutes. Ish Smith is definitely that guy since Jrue Holliday will likely sit the second game of the Pelican's back to back. When Smith get's the minutes, he normally produces at a high...

With Teague out, Schroder becomes the de facto point guard and his price is nowhere near where it should be considering the opportunity he'll see for the Hawks tonight. He played 33 minutes against Utah the other night and put up an 11/9/6 line which more than pays these salaries. He won't be sneaking up on anyone here considering Teague is out tonight and there's been plenty of lead time. Put him in cash games without hesitation. Michael Carter-Williams - FD 7000 DK 6000 Opponent - WAS FD Proj. Pts - 33.05 DK Proj. Pts - 33.72 He came back from an extended injury layoff last game and Jason Kidd promptly played him 40 minutes. Expect some similar run tonight against the Wizards. Carter-Williams can't shoot from the the outside, but his length and some quickness helps him contribute in multiple areas on the stat sheet. The Wizards are playing at the fastest pace in the league this season, while the Bucks are the slowest. I love when slower teams get into these kinds of matchups because the volume goes way up.
