Pts - 38.12 DK Proj. Pts - 38.83 When Rondo isn’t scoring, he’s getting his teammates involved. In Sacramento’s 142-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday Rondo not only scored 15 points but tallied 15 assists. And last night against OKC? Yowza. This kind of production makes him a good play on a nightly basis. The Mavs are a good defensive team but Rondo has extra motivation after Mavs coach Rick Carlisle benched him at the end of last year’s playoffs. (Our system doesn't factor that in, but the narrative works along with the metrics). Update: Rondo is looking doubtful tonight which would make Darren Collison a near must play. Jeff Teague - FD 6400 DK 6500 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 31.63 DK Proj. Pts - 32.77 Teague is normally a strong option at point guard. The speedy Wake Forest product drops around 32 fantasy points a night. The Knicks held him to just 9 points in his last game, the first of a back-to-back. The Knicks are among the league’s best in fantasy points against point guards but Teague will likely score more when he faces the Knicks again. He will contend with Jose Calderon.   SHOOTING GUARD Klay Thompson - FD 7600 DK 7900 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 33.63 DK Proj. Pts - 37.38 Even with Steph back in the lineup, Thompson is in play here. Thompson dropped 38 on the Rockets last week and will look to match or exceed that against the lackluster Laker defense. Thompson will likely see Kobe Bryant and Jordan Clarkson which means he could be in for another big night. One caveat is that the Warriors could get up big on the Lakers, which could mean limited minutes for Thompson. Jimmy Butler -...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 1/1/15

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/1/15 A rare shorter slate for this Friday with only a few New Year's Day games to enjoy. But that's fine, we can still ring in 2016 with style. Hell, I stayed up New Year's Eve to write picks while the rest of you were partying your respective butts off (hopefully). Let's get this new year on. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup builder and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel and DraftKings. While the seasons overlap, you'll get access to our tools for the NBA, NFL, and NHL! Get started for free by clicking the button below. START YOUR FREE TRIAL NOW! First time with NBA? Be sure to read our free NBA Ebook on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered. POINT GUARD John Wall - FD 10200 DK 9700 Opponent - ORL FD Proj. Pts - 45.32 DK Proj. Pts - 46.49 There's a lot to like about point guard tonight which is the only reason I'm not calling Wall a must on this slate. There aren't a ton of real big money guys in play which means you aren't going to need a bunch of punts to get some of the more noticeable names into a lineup. Wall is playing insane minutes at a very high level right now as Washington needs everything he can give. From a points per dollar perspective I like the guys below a lot better, but from a raw points piece, Wall is the top guy tonight and it isn't particularly close. Ish Smith - FD 5800 DK 6500 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 29.34 DK Proj. Pts - 30.27 Dude's been a revelation since coming back to the Sixers only a few days ago. In his last two games he's averaged a 20/10 and been the talk of NBA DFS. It's really something when you see a journeyman bounce around, then find the minutes and go ballistic. There's decent data to suggest he's just actually a good player that teams struggle to use correctly. I suspect you see him continue playing these minutes and be a very popular start. If things keep going like this he'll be a $7500 guy on FD in no time. Still buying low for sure. Oh and he's playing the worst defense in the league. So... J.J. Barea - FD 4400 DK 5500 Opponent - MIA FD Proj. Pts - 23.2 DK Proj. Pts - 24.33 Deron Williams was ruled out a few hours before...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 12/31/15

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 12/31/15 Happy New Year's Rockin' Eve everyone! It's been a good 2015 from this side of the keyboard and we are looking forward to keeping the good times rolling into 2016. And before you head out to your party or wherever tonight, get some lineups in so you have something to check while getting black out. POINT GUARD Russell Westbrook - FD 10700 DK 10600 Opponent - PHX FD Proj. Pts - 50.43 DK Proj. Pts - 52.34 It's becoming somewhat old hat at this point because I feel like I write up Westbrook every time he plays. But he's proven to be well worth it at these salaries and the cost is moving up only incrementally. Tonight it's a matchup against Phoenix who is playing at one of the fastest paces in the league while also maintaining one of the worst defensive efficiencies. They are a great opponent to target, but there is some blowout concern. The Thunder are opening at a huge 14.5 favorite and we could see a fourth quarter without the starters. Because there are other places to save across other positions, I'm willing to risk it in cash games. Shaun Livingston - FD 3600 DK 3800 Opponent - HOU FD Proj. Pts - 17.88 DK Proj. Pts - 18.02 Well it appears Steph is a pretty important player for the Warriors huh? They looked borderline lost last night without him (borderline being real nice about it). Livingston got the start though didn't run a ton. It's tough to know exactly what's what going into this one. In many ways he's about as different a point guard from Steph as one can get. I'm not comparing anyone to Curry, but Livingston's game is slower, back down into post and kick some while Steph is the greatest. Livingston is so cheap and should draw the start against a Rockets' team that is slightly worse on defense than the Mavericks. It's worth rolling the dice if he can push into the high 20's in minutes. Ty Lawson - FD 3800 DK 4000 Opponent -...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot – 12/30/15

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 12/30/15 Big old Wednesday in the NBA and I think you are going to like what you see. I'd be shocked if you weren't loving some lineups you put together tonight when it's all said and done (famous last words and all). But that's what happens when the Lakers, Sixers, Kings and some other defensively-challenged squads play. POINT GUARD Ish Smith - FD 5200 DK 5600 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 27.45 DK Proj. Pts - 28.28 Our system was basically shoving Ish Smith down our pts/$ throats the other night and yet I found it so very hard to trust. This is, after all, the Sixers who tend to play fast and loose with any real consistent minutes for any of their players. But there was Ish, going bananas in 32 minutes with a 22/11 line that will surely keep him in the starting lineup (right?). He feels ultra safe for his prices even on a slate with a bevy of cheap plays. Rajon Rondo - FD 7800 DK 8400 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 37.64 DK Proj. Pts - 38.33 You are going to see a share of Kings in these picks for good reason. Philly ranks in the bottom 25% of teams in defensive efficiency this season and Sacramento will look to push the ball. Rondo and Boogie combined for 6 fouls in the first quarter against the Warriors (no easy feat) and both were buzzed off minutes before Boogie was eventually tossed. I really like Rajon for a bounce back game tonight. His price is real nice on FanDuel though DK is a bit high. If he sees minutes in the high 30's again tonight then I'd feel very comfortable with him in cash games. Isaiah Thomas - FD 8100 DK 7800 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 37.51 DK Proj. Pts - 40.43 Even with Marcus Smart back in the lineup Thomas saw minutes in the mid 30's last game and should continue to see be a safe guy as the former is on a minutes'...

Pts - 48.15 DK Proj. Pts - 49.78 Westbrook continues to put up MVP numbers and finally has his running mate, Kevin Durant, back. Stephen Curry gets a lot of attention, but Westbrook has been off the charts good this year. He is averaging 25.5 points a game while dishing out 9 assists. There are fewer tougher matchups than Westbrook right now. The next lucky contestant to try to stop Russell will be Michael Carter-Williams who could give Westbrook some problems with his 6’6” frame. Westbrook should still put up numbers and at these prices is offering solid value on this slate. Jameer Nelson - FD 4700 DK 5600 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 22.55 DK Proj. Pts - 24.95 Nelson has filled in admirably for Emmanuel Mudiay. Over the last 10 games Nelson has been solid, posting 11 points, 4 rebounds and nearly 6 assists a game. The former Saint Joseph's All-American should be a good play as the number 1 point guard in Denver. Nelson will likely play Matthew Dellavadova who is a solid defender but not a shutdown player. Nelson will likely not have to deal with Kyrie Irving. Expect Jameer Nelson to be productive. Reggie Jackson - FD 7500 DK 7300 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 34.09 DK Proj. Pts - 35.35 Jackson has a had a breakout season at point guard thus far this year. He is putting up 20.2 points a game as well as dishing out 6 assists. Jackson’s success should continue against the New York Knicks. The Knicks are average against opposing point guards this season with Jose Calderon near at the bottom of efficiency rankings among opposing point guards in defensive efficiency. SHOOTING GUARD Will Barton - FD 6800 DK 6900 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 32.39 DK Proj. Pts - 33.67 Barton’s stock continues to rise in line with his performance. His scoring averages have actually gone up as the season has continued, averaging nearly 20...
