Chalmers should see Patrick Beverley most of his night and has been more than worth it at these prices. Brandon Knight - FD 6800 DK 7300 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 35.11 DK Proj. Pts - 37.36 Knight has been the subject of trade rumors, which is one of the burdens of being a good player. The former Kentucky product has put up 21.6 points and 6.2 rebounds a game this season. His solid overall game should provide a tough challenge to Indiana and George Hill specifically. He's one of the few Suns with consistent minutes at this point even though Hornacek has said he might work to find more consistent rotations. Russell Westbrook - FD 10900 DK 10700 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. Pts - 49.41 DK Proj. Pts - 51.19 Westbrook who is not the only MVP candidate in his locker room has continued to dominate night in and night out. He is currently 2nd overall in player efficiency, trailing only Stephen Curry. Ricky Rubio will be the next contestant to try to slow down Westbrook. Do not expect him to be successful. The Timberwolves are among the worst in defending point guards in fantasy scoring. SHOOTING GUARD Devin Booker - FD 3900 DK 4900 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 19.66 DK Proj. With the injury to Beal and a variety of other ailments (one being lack of talent) around their roster, Wall is left to perform miracles on a nightly basis just to keep the Wiz in games. That can lead to fantastic stat lines, but it can also trend to a bunch of turnovers if he's forcing the action just a little too much. I don't mind him on this slate considering some of the other point guards are in tougher matchups though and he is a near lock for around 40 minutes a night right now. Rajon Rondo - FD 8300 DK 8400 Opponent - GSW FD Proj. Pts - 38.91 DK Proj. Pts - 39.62 Golden State opened as only a six point favorite in this game which I thought seemed a little low. But there is some chance the Kings can hang just a little, or at least enough to get Rondo his minutes. If he's going to push near 40 then you can buy on FanDuel in what is the highest projected over of the night. Shane Larkin - FD 4400 DK 4700 Opponent - DET FD Proj. Pts - 22.47 DK Proj. Pts - 23.55 When you are the second string point guard on the Nets and struggling to get consistent minutes with that squad, then chances are you aren't that great of an NBA player. Pts - 50.17 DK Proj. Pts - 52.08 There is a great deal of point guard value on this slate which will make some of the decisions a little tougher. But it's tough to ignore a matchup like this for Westbrook. The Lakers get used and abused by point guards and give up somewhere in the range of 12-14% more scoring and 19% more rebounding than league average to the position. This is what happens when a team plays a fast pace with little regard for anything in the realm of defense (mostly because they don't have the personnel). The only concern here is that the game is over well before the fourth quarter starts and Westbrook doesn't see the minutes. Mario Chalmers - FD 4900 DK 4600 Opponent - DEN FD Proj. Pts - 32.53 DK Proj. Pts - 34.14 With Courtney Lee already listed as out and Mike Conley looking doubtful it should be all Chalmers on this slate. He filled it up the other night against the Thunder with a crazy 23/9/8 line off the bench that crushed his price. I'm not pencilling him in for the same production, but there's a good chance he's in the starting lineup now with the Grizz back court looking really depleted. I suspect, short of there sprouting up a ton of other punt plays, that Chalmers is one of the highest owned players on the slate. Kyrie Irving - FD 7800 DK 6900 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. The Lakers allow somewhere in the range of 14% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards. That basically means they are are matadors on defense against the position. I suspect one or the other of these guys will be the highest owned player on the slate considering the matchup. Jeff Teague - FD 6200 DK 6400 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 29.68 DK Proj. Pts - 30.74 Dennis Schroder - FD 4500 DK 5000 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 21.71 DK Proj. Pts - 22.64 I'm putting both of these guys in the tournament category for this slate. The Hawks have jerked around the point guard minutes something fierce of late as they try and find the rotations that work the best. Both of these guys have upside at their respective prices if they see an uptick in minutes. But they can't be considered safe.   SHOOTING GUARD Kent Bazemore - FD 5700 DK 6100 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. I know it's against Memphis, but this is Westbrook sans-Durant we are talking about and there are few (anyone?) better in the game when he's the top dog. Westbrook went 17/15/8 against the Kings the other night and really only the scoring held him back. Considering the situation and the huge slate, I think he's very safe money in this top tier and suspect he'll be the highest percentage start. Brandon Knight - FD 6700 DK 7400 Opponent - CHA FD Proj. Pts - 33.12 DK Proj. Pts - 35.19 He's about the only Sun whose minutes appear in any way safe. He's also really the only guy on the team who can score with any kind of consistency, and he really isn't all that consistent. But the Phoenix should continue to play him minutes in the upper register. Charlotte is about league average against opposing point guards and Knight's price makes him on the safer side. Jameer Nelson - FD 5500 DK 5500 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. Pts - 27.35 DK Proj. Pts - 30.3 It's always so hard trusting the Nuggets' minutes on a nightly basis. But Jameer appears to have a handle on the point guard spot with Mudiay out. His minutes are higher and he's put up solid lines over the last three games. Minnesota is in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency and the Nuggets will have opportunities to score. Nelson's price is low considering his opportunity right now.
