Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/21/16 Welcome to Short Slate Thursday! Pts - 32.98 DK Proj. Pts - 35.06 After a couple of lackluster outings, Knight had a bounce-back game against the Pacers on Tuesday. His price has come down a bit, and frankly, the Suns don’t have a lot of other options. A couple of the Phoenix buy-low possibilities are in limbo, either because they’re Questionable or the player they might replace is. While the matchup is lousy, the relative price to opportunity is hard to pass up. Emmanuel Mudiay - FD 5000 DK 5800 Opponent - MEM FD Proj. Pts - 24.82 DK Proj. Pts - 25.87 Mudiay’s gotten some additional run with Jameer Nelson on the mend. With Nelson now Questionable for the Nuggets' tilt with Memphis, Emmanuel may see a few less minutes, but the projections still show a really high floor here. He’s a solid option everywhere (on FD his price is criminally low), and if Nelson’s out again the ceiling is raised as well. Another value play at a slightly lower price point. Jrue Holiday - FD 6600 DK 6500 Opponent - DET FD Proj. Pts - 31.45 DK Proj. Pts - 32.92 Jrue has been hot from the floor for the last week, and his production has spiked (5x floor the last three games). Detroit is a decent matchup with an average Pace and middle-of-the-road defense against PGs. With Eric Gordon’s fragility highlighted yet again (out 4-6 weeks with a broken finger), there will be more minutes and shots for the adjusted Pels backcourt rotation. Holiday will start alongside Tyreke The Freak and the fit could be a little awkward, but the value has him in near must-start status (particularly on DK where he’s the top-rated PG for the night), SHOOTING GUARD Courtney Lee - FD...

Pts - 23.43 DK Proj. Pts - 24.76 Beno Udrih will sit out again on Tuesday, making Tyler Johnson an obvious play again. Against OKC he played 39 minutes and could see that kind of run again. Without Dragic and Udrih, Miami really doesn't have much in the way of ballhandlers. Even Johnson doesn't strike me as a natural one, but desperate times and all for the Heat. He's basically a lock in cash game lineups for me considering the price and the opportunity. And the 16/6/4 line from Sunday night just gives you all the fuzzy warm feelings as well. Brandon Knight - FD 6500 DK 7200 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 33.75 DK Proj. Pts - 35.99 With Eric Bledsoe having been out awhile, Knight has seen the shot volume he should need to hit value. Scoring isn't necessarily the issue for Brandon. It's that he's not doing anything else on the court. In his last two games he's had exactly 5 assists and 2 rebounds, total. That's hot garbage for a guy if he's running the point. It could be some run bad, and if so then we are really buying low on the guy. Because the minutes are for sure there and he is getting shots up early and often. I like buying low on the upside and our system loves him as a play today. Emmanuel Mudiay - FD 4900 DK 5400 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 25.04 DK Proj. Pts - 26.12 Should be in line for minutes in the mid-to-high thirties again if Jameer Nelson were to sit again tonight. Mudiay is a terrible shooter (both statistically and the way it looks) but he will push the ball and does attempt to get to the hoop. If he's handling the vast majority of the Denver point guard duties then he has a high floor for these prices. You have to always strongly consider Russell Westbrook and honestly when it all...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/16/16 Saturday's here! Another round of NFL football, and plenty of NBA basketball fun to enjoy as well. I hope you all enjoyed Jimmy Butler Day as much as we did here - it was the first time in my memory that I've seen the cash line in 50/50s be higher than the cash line in big, top heavy tournaments. Wild, wild stuff. Yes, I know that was 2 days ago. I'm still reeling. Let's go. If you want to grab a free trial of the winning projections that inform each and every one of these picks, check out our lineup builder and Google Chrome extension that auto-populates your lineups into FanDuel and DraftKings. Pts - 31.54 DK Proj. Pts - 32.98 You wouldn't have wanted to been around the DFSR offices on Thursday night watching Mario (Rio)* Chalmers hit the miracle jumper to win the game for Memphis. It's not that we weren't cheering for him, it's that we had him everywhere and were dying for an OT. But alas, we merely had to live with his 9x performance. It looks like Conley will sit again, leaving almost all of the Grizz PG minutes to Chalmers. He's still a deal at these prices against the Knicks. *The Memphis announcers call him Rio and we were just dying laughing every time they said this. It was the first we'd tuned into a game with him, but I guess it's a thing. And we love it. Ish Smith - FD 6900 DK 7300 Opponent - POR FD Proj. Pts - 30.9 DK Proj. Pts - 31.76 I'm a huge fan of Ish's offensive game. He is willing to drive early and often in drives and has a solid understanding of when to take the shot or when to wait for someone to open up. His only real issue at this point (and at these prices) is whether Brett Brown will give him the minutes. He only saw 32 in regulation against the Bulls and if he buzzed even a little in run it comes close with his salaries. I'm willing to take the risk because the rest of point guard looks real rough. Damian Lillard - FD 9200 DK 9400 Opponent...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and DraftPot - 1/14/16 *Editor's Note: We are pumped to bring on Ben Shushan, writing NBA picks for us. Pts - 48.34 DK Proj. Pts - 52.74 What can you say about Steph that hasn’t already been said? The MVP has upped his game this year, and with Draymond Green out, he’s likely to be asked to shoulder even more of the load. Even at his stratospheric price, this is one of the better bargains on the board. Outside of Rajon Rondo (also worth a look), he’s the only true top-end option at PG. One word of caution: Lakers. Even with Green out, some blowout risk is here. Still, I’d advise you to pay up (literally) – it’ll be worth the investment. Ish Smith - FD 6600 DK 7000 Opponent - CHI FD Proj. Pts - 30.5 DK Proj. Pts - 31.35 Since coming over from the Pels, Ishmael has been Captain of the ship. He jacked up (and missed) a lot of shots last time out, but was sizzling from the floor the prior three games. The Bulls are barely above-average against PGs, so the main concern here is minutes (leave it to the Sixers to NOT give as much run as possible to one of their more productive players). His price keeps climbing but he’s still likely to hit value (or more). Note that he’s slightly cheaper on FD (which has higher average prices), where he’s one of the best values at the position. Mario Chalmers - FD 5200 DK 6300 Opponent - DET FD Proj. Pts - 25.95 DK Proj. Pts - 27.14 With Mike Conley still on the mend, Mario Chalmers has been outstanding. While Detroit is decent defending PGs, the value is there, even as his price rises (a particularly sharp increase on DK). If he continues starting, the opportunity is hard to pass up. Again, be sure to stay up-to-date on Conley’s status. SHOOTING GUARD Jimmy Butler - FD...

Pts - 39.48 DK Proj. Pts - 40.22 Ooh what a matchup for Rondo tonight. Only the Lakers and the Bucks are worse than the Pelicans in terms of defensive efficiency this season and are allowing 8% more scoring and 2% more assists than league average to opposing point guards. I think you see Rondo playa minutes in the mid-to-high thirties tonight and get back to some of his higher fantasy scoring ways. One of the more fantasy-friendly matchups on the slate. Tyreke Evans - FD 7800 DK 8200 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 37.44 DK Proj. Pts - 38.73 Jrue Holiday - FD 6200 DK 6400 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 30.52 DK Proj. Pts - 32.06 These two are good plays with all things being equal, but really get ramped up if Brow can't go again. They get big time usage bumps when Davis is off the court and would be in line for increased volume if the Pelican star couldn't play again tonight. Going to be tough to get this news prior to the early lineup lock, but something to keep in mind. Russell Westbrook - FD 10900 DK 10700 Opponent - DAL FD Proj. Pts - 49.17 DK Proj. Pts - 50.92 He certainly feels like one of the safest plays in the league right now. Even with Durant around, Westbrook is a force in and of himself doing just about everything on the basketball court. And because the Thunder second unit is so trashy, Westbrook and Durant both have to play big minutes in games like this. They need to keep OKC in it. Dallas is below average defending opposing point guards this season and I think Westbrook makes a ton of sense even at these prices. SHOOTING GUARD Avery Bradley - FD 5000 DK 5000 Opponent - IND FD Proj. Pts - 24.25 DK Proj. Pts - 26.21 He came back from injury and just started playing those minutes again. Bradley...
