Though his performance appears more variable with Durant back on the court, Russell's price is coming down to reflect the pairing. What also plays into your favor starting him here is that he goes up against an Atlanta team that ranks as the third worst team in the league on DraftKings in fantasy points given up on at the point guard position with an average of 53.4 and is the eight worst on FanDuel with an average of 42.4. Westbrook still has the highest Usage Rate out of all the point guards in the league too. Jeff Teague - FD 6800 DK 6800 Opponent - OKC FD Proj. Pts - 30.16 DK Proj. Pts - 31.23 Point guard is slightly dicey tonight. What stands out the most with Jeff Teague in this spot is his price tag. Our system has him somewhere in the 30 point range. He isn't a huge minutes guy all thing considered, but Oklahoma City ranks in the bottom half in the league compared to all other teams in terms of how many fantasy points they give up on average at the point guard position (DraftKings: 50.5 & FanDuel: 41.3). Jarrett Jack - FD 6200 DK 6200 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 29.5 DK Proj. Pts - 30.34 Jarrett Jack is another one of those solid cheap buys who allows you stretch out your money to spend generously at other positions. He's not a sure thing but against the Sixers in what should be a closer game (because both teams stink), Jack stands to perform well on the offensive end. He is going to be in one of the higher projected points game of the night in a flow that will really benefit his style. He's gone beast mode over the last couple and the price hasn't caught up with how much run he's seen. I don't know if that kind of volume will continue, but the Wizards should be motivated to pull themselves out of the early season whole they dug in the standings. Phoenix is one of the worst teams in the league against the opposing point guard which makes sense considering their pace. Wall should have a high floor in this one. Tyreke Evans - FD 7500 DK 6800 Opponent - CLE FD Proj. Pts - 33.44 DK Proj. Pts - 34.42 He's come back from the injury and barely missed a step. The Pelicans have unleashed him out of the gate and Evans appears fully recovered. He's played about thirty minutes in each of the first two games and the minutes management is enough that he's in play coming out of the starting lineup. What I like about Tyreke is he doesn't rely on one particular stat to hit value. He's a well-rounded fantasy guy, scoring, rebounding and assisting his way to production as long as the minutes are there. Cleveland is a good defensive team, but Evans' price hasn't caught up to his role in the offense. Consider Deron Williams SHOOTING GUARD Bradley Beal - FD 7100 DK 6900 Opponent - PHX FD Proj. Pts - 40.2 DK Proj. Pts - 42.71 There's a lot to like about Kyle Lowry's overall game. He is currently averaging 20.7 points per game, 2.9 three-pointers per game, 6.2 assists per game and 4.8 rebounds per game, while shooting almost 90% from the line (88%). Now, he may not have a Usage ranking that's in the top 20 (ranks 25th with 26.3, tied with Zach LaVine) and his team's Pace Factor is one of the worst in the league (97), but he faces a Denver team next that ranks as the third worst team in the league on FanDuel and is the fourth worst team in the league on DraftKings in fantasy points allowed against opponents' point guards (44.4 on FanDuel and 53.9 on DraftKings). The pluses highly outweigh the minuses here. Isaiah Thomas - FD 7300 DK 7500 Opponent - SAC FD Proj. Pts - 35.15 DK Proj. Pts - 37.56 Isaiah Thomas' team has the fifth best Pace Factor in the league right now (102.4) and you really have to consider the fact that he is one of the only (if not the only) point guards in all of DFS that scores as much as he does with regularity (20.8 points per game) and who comes in at a price tag in the $7,500 and under range. His scoring ability should play a huge role in his matchup against the Kings next, because Sacramento ranks as the eighth worst team in the league (in both FanDuel and DraftKings) in fantasy points allowed against opponents' point guards. Today's an interesting one in the NBA with a ton of cheap guys looking at the potential for big minutes and the Sixers starting their first chance at a two game winning streak. Does this mean the Warriors stop their run as well seeing as how their fate is completely unrelated to Philly? Big Wednesday indeed. There are simply too many cheap dudes out there and actually the bigger issue seems to be a lack of big money talent I feel totally comfortable putting big money in on. Canaan is one of those decent minutes-limited upside guys because if he isn't scoring then you are in for a whole lot of nothing happening on the court. He can hit the three and isn't afraid to take them as he's averaging about eight three point attempts a game over the short term. That's a ton and you can catch him on the right now. For the price on FanDuel I like some of the upside as long as he sticks in the starting lineup which is no sure thing with the Sixers. Patrick Beverley - FD 3700 DK 4100 Opponent - NOP FD Proj. Pts - 21.51 DK Proj. Pts - 24.47 He's rather quietly entered the starting lineup for the mess that are the Rockets and been really good for these prices. Because said teams are typically getting crushed. Expect to see Rondo back up there logging run against the Mavericks tonight. Even with Collison back the Kings are devoid of many ballhandlers and need Rondo out there for extended stretches. I think I'd prefer Rondo more if Cousins were back in the lineup simply because he makes the Kings a much better team and Rondo can run the pick and roll to death with Boogie. But I'll take Rajon either way because few other players have his kind of minutes upside. Isaiah Thomas - FD 7300 DK 7600 Opponent - MIA FD Proj. Pts - 34.09 DK Proj. Pts - 36.01 With Marcus Smart out, Thomas has taken over the point guard duties with the first unit and is playing minutes when the game stays close. I can't imagine either team running away with this one. And though the Heat area a slower team who defend the point guard well, the price for Thomas simply hasn't risen much because the Celts have been in some lopsided games. That's buzzed off his minutes. It shouldn't happen here and I expect a solid performance. Russell Westbrook - FD 11000 DK 10600 Opponent - ATL FD Proj. Pts - 50.02 DK Proj. Pts - 51.54 To say he laid an egg the other night (as compared to his typical performance) is an insult to really productive egg-laying animals everywhere (perfect comparison). Westbrook double-doubled with a 14/11 (turnovers) line that you simply won't see from him, well really ever. While having Durant back for sure cuts into Westbrook's overall usage, we don't need to see them on the court as mutually exclusive fantasy upside ideas. They are more than capable inhabiting the...
