Pts - 39.97 DK Proj. Pts - 40.75 Darren Collison - FD 5600 DK 6000 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 27.73 DK Proj. Pts - 29.23 I'm putting these two guys together, but it's not because I think you should play both of them at the same time (though I suppose it's close with Collison either way). But I think whoever draws the start for the Kings tonight is nearly a must start on this slate. Both Rondo and Collison would be in line for big minutes against the worst defense in the league. The Lakers allow somewhere in the range of 14% more scoring than league average to opposing point guards. That basically means they are are matadors on defense against the position. I suspect one or the other of these guys will be the highest owned player on the slate considering the matchup. Jeff Teague - FD 6200 DK 6400 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 29.68 DK Proj. Pts - 30.74 Dennis Schroder - FD 4500 DK 5000 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 21.71 DK Proj. Pts - 22.64 I'm putting both of these guys in the tournament category for this slate. The Hawks have jerked around the point guard minutes something fierce of late as they try and find the rotations that work the best. Both of these guys have upside at their respective prices if they see an uptick in minutes. But they can't be considered safe.   SHOOTING GUARD Kent Bazemore - FD 5700 DK 6100 Opponent - PHI FD Proj. Pts - 26.5 DK Proj. Pts - 28.13 The Hawks' minutes aren't necessarily set in stone mostly because they have a deeper team and Coach Budd isn't shy about getting the bench guys run if they...

Pts - 52.92 DK Proj. Pts - 54.75 This one's easy. I know it's against Memphis, but this is Westbrook sans-Durant we are talking about and there are few (anyone?) better in the game when he's the top dog. Westbrook went 17/15/8 against the Kings the other night and really only the scoring held him back. Considering the situation and the huge slate, I think he's very safe money in this top tier and suspect he'll be the highest percentage start. Brandon Knight - FD 6700 DK 7400 Opponent - CHA FD Proj. Pts - 33.12 DK Proj. Pts - 35.19 He's about the only Sun whose minutes appear in any way safe. He's also really the only guy on the team who can score with any kind of consistency, and he really isn't all that consistent. But the Phoenix should continue to play him minutes in the upper register. Charlotte is about league average against opposing point guards and Knight's price makes him on the safer side. Jameer Nelson - FD 5500 DK 5500 Opponent - MIN FD Proj. Pts - 27.35 DK Proj. Pts - 30.3 It's always so hard trusting the Nuggets' minutes on a nightly basis. But Jameer appears to have a handle on the point guard spot with Mudiay out. His minutes are higher and he's put up solid lines over the last three games. Minnesota is in the bottom third of the league in defensive efficiency and the Nuggets will have opportunities to score. Nelson's price is low considering his opportunity right now. Patty Mills - FD 3800 DK 4100 Opponent - UTA FD Proj. Pts - 17.79 DK Proj. Pts - 19.43 He got the start for Tony...

Pts - 38.12 DK Proj. Pts - 38.83 When Rondo isn’t scoring, he’s getting his teammates involved. In Sacramento’s 142-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday Rondo not only scored 15 points but tallied 15 assists. And last night against OKC? Yowza. This kind of production makes him a good play on a nightly basis. The Mavs are a good defensive team but Rondo has extra motivation after Mavs coach Rick Carlisle benched him at the end of last year’s playoffs. (Our system doesn't factor that in, but the narrative works along with the metrics). Update: Rondo is looking doubtful tonight which would make Darren Collison a near must play. Jeff Teague - FD 6400 DK 6500 Opponent - NYK FD Proj. Pts - 31.63 DK Proj. Pts - 32.77 Teague is normally a strong option at point guard. The speedy Wake Forest product drops around 32 fantasy points a night. The Knicks held him to just 9 points in his last game, the first of a back-to-back. The Knicks are among the league’s best in fantasy points against point guards but Teague will likely score more when he faces the Knicks again. He will contend with Jose Calderon.   SHOOTING GUARD Klay Thompson - FD 7600 DK 7900 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 33.63 DK Proj. Pts - 37.38 Even with Steph back in the lineup, Thompson is in play here. Thompson dropped 38 on the Rockets last week and will look to match or exceed that against the lackluster Laker defense. Thompson will likely see Kobe Bryant and Jordan Clarkson which means he could be in for another big night. One caveat is that the Warriors could get up big on the Lakers, which could mean limited minutes for Thompson. Jimmy Butler -...

There aren't a ton of real big money guys in play which means you aren't going to need a bunch of punts to get some of the more noticeable names into a lineup. Wall is playing insane minutes at a very high level right now as Washington needs everything he can give. From a points per dollar perspective I like the guys below a lot better, but from a raw points piece, Wall is the top guy tonight and it isn't particularly close. Ish Smith - FD 5800 DK 6500 Opponent - LAL FD Proj. Pts - 29.34 DK Proj. Pts - 30.27 Dude's been a revelation since coming back to the Sixers only a few days ago. In his last two games he's averaged a 20/10 and been the talk of NBA DFS. It's really something when you see a journeyman bounce around, then find the minutes and go ballistic. There's decent data to suggest he's just actually a good player that teams struggle to use correctly. I suspect you see him continue playing these minutes and be a very popular start. If things keep going like this he'll be a $7500 guy on FD in no time. Still buying low for sure. Oh and he's playing the worst defense in the league. So... J.J. But he's proven to be well worth it at these salaries and the cost is moving up only incrementally. Tonight it's a matchup against Phoenix who is playing at one of the fastest paces in the league while also maintaining one of the worst defensive efficiencies. They are a great opponent to target, but there is some blowout concern. The Thunder are opening at a huge 14.5 favorite and we could see a fourth quarter without the starters. Because there are other places to save across other positions, I'm willing to risk it in cash games. Shaun Livingston - FD 3600 DK 3800 Opponent - HOU FD Proj. Pts - 17.88 DK Proj. Pts - 18.02 Well it appears Steph is a pretty important player for the Warriors huh? They looked borderline lost last night without him (borderline being real nice about it). Livingston got the start though didn't run a ton. It's tough to know exactly what's what going into this one. In many ways he's about as different a point guard from Steph as one can get. I'm not comparing anyone to Curry, but Livingston's game is slower, back down into post and kick some while Steph is the greatest. Livingston is so cheap and should draw the start against a Rockets' team that is slightly worse on defense than the Mavericks.
