Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Thursday 1/24/19 Welcome to Thursday basketball! It's a four game slate, but it's actually a pretty solid one that features a lot of DFS relevant players, potential injury considerations, and bad defenses. A welcome relief from some of these small slates recently to be sure. Let's dive in! Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. The Golden State Warriors at the Washington Wizards The Warriors are favored by 9 in a game with a 235 total. Our first game for the slate and I'm already interested. The Warriors have rolled out the Boogie Man, and he's coming off a season high 24 minute appearance. The Wiz have looked surprisingly feisty, taking four of their last five, including impressive wins over Philly and Milwaukee and taking Toronto to the brink in a double overtime game. Great work, Wiz! Okay, I give them that little nugget because the rest of this post about them isn't going to be quite so kind. To a man our system basically hates all of the Wizards. I'm inspired by Tomas Satoransky's recent minutes increase, but can you really count on that continuing in a match-up like this? Seems like there's a little bit too much that can go wrong. DeMarcus Cousins FD - $6400 DK - $5800Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 33.76 DK - 34.92 So Cousins has played 15 and 21 minutes, but both games have seen him get in foul trouble AND have been blowouts. If you project him for a mere 25 minutes 30 fantasy points seems like a lock. And yet, this is Boogie we're talking about, and the Dubs have a lot of mouths to feed. It seems like they should be able to sustain him up to a price of $7k at least though and on a short slate this might be enough. After Boogie, our lineup optimizer sees the rest of the Warriors as being on relatively equal footing. All are solid 5x points per dollar plays, and any of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green could be good options for their positions. The big question will be whether this game stays close, and if these guys are too risky if the game gets out of hand. The New Orleans Pelicans at the Oklahoma City Thunder The Thunder are favored by 11.5...

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday 1/20/19

Daily Fantasy NBA Basketball Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings - Sunday 1/20/19 Welcome to a nice and short Sunday slate of DFS NBA! With just three games going up against the NFL Conference Championship games, there isn't a lot to sink our teeth into here, but with a few bad defenses and DFS relevant teams we'll certainly do our best. Let's get to it. Now’s your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA optimizer and our new player lab! Get started for free by clicking the button below. The Charlotte Hornets at the Indiana Pacers The Pacers are favored by 7.5 in a game with a 219 total. Things start out on the rougher side, unfortunately. We have two teams on the second half of a back to back, and a pretty wide 7.5 point spread. The Pacers have not been aptly named this season, playing the league's 7th slowest PACE and the 3rd best defense. The Hornets are subsequently bad plays almost down to the man, with the possible exception of Jeremy Lamb. Charlotte hasn't been involved in a lot of close games recently, but Lamb appears to be on a 30+ minute rotation when the game happens to let them. Still, Charlotte's plan on a game to game basis seems to be anybody's guess at this point. Over on the Indiana side things get a shade sunnier. Victor Oladipo FD - $7800 DK - $7800Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 39.19 DK - 39.79 Oladipo has seen a pretty dramatic fall in price after a stretch of blowouts for Indy, but I believe his true rotations lie in the 34-36 minute range. Nothing has really fundamentally changed about this team or Oladipo's ability, but an 8/31 stretch from the field in his last two games (prior to Saturday night's game) has his price lagging. Charlotte, meanwhile, has had a terrible time against opposing shooting guards this season, allowing the 2nd most fantasy points per game to them. Overall Oladipo seems like a sneaky high floor option if such a thing exists. Another interesting guy here is Myles Turner. If the two post-injury games are to be believed he should be in line for 32ish minutes and 35+ fantasy points. With center looking pretty sketchy tonight he might just be a frog worth kissing. The Los Angeles Clippers at the San Antonio Spurs There is no line on this game as of this writing. With half of the players in this game currently...

What We Know What We're Waiting to Know Aaron Gordon is questionable to play against the Bucks Gordon is a huge part of this Magic team and will be missed if he's out. Minutes-wise, it should be a mix of Jonathan Isaac and Jonathon Simmons. Khem Birch and Mo Bamba could also see a few minutes, but I think the Bucks playing small will lend towards more Isaac and Simmons. As for usage, Nikola Vucevic takes a few steps up and so does Fournier. Both will get a little extra involved and Vucevic is already in a spectacular spot. Marc Gasol is questionable to play against the Raptors (Joakim Noah OUT) With Joakim Noah already out, things could get interesting here. Gasol has voiced concerns about the organization and could want to be traded to a contender if they can't turn things around. He's questionable for tonight and is probably on the lowside of it. If he does indeed sit out, Jaren Jackson and JaMychal Green will be in line for huge minutes against a Raptors team that matches up exactly with the two big power forwards. Omri Casspi could also see a few minutes, but my focus will be on Jackson and Green. Josh Richardson has been upgraded to probable after missing last night with an illness Richardson is supposedly back to full health, so we can expect 30+ minutes out of him. I actually don't hate him in tournaments against a Bulls team that doesn't play any defense. Rodney McGruder and Dwyane Wade are both out of consideration for me now. Neither will get enough minutes to be worthy of consideration on this deep slate. What We Know Kawhi Leonard will rest against the Grizzlies Leonard might have something that's aggravating him, or he genuinely is just getting some bed rest for the rest of a tough season. With Leonard out last game, Lowry, VanVleet, Siakam, and Ibaka were still the only ones to get over 30 minutes. Against a pretty slow Grizzlies squad, I'll play Lowry and move on. The other three guys are solid as a lineup filler, but I think you can do better on this slate. Andre Drummond has entered the concussion protocol and will miss tonight's game...

Daily Fantasy NBA News and Injury Updates – 1/17/19

We'll try and update it right up to line-up locks with as much information as comes across our desks. Let's get to it! Today's picks can be found here, so you can wrap your mind around what you need to be looking at before lineups lock tonight. By the way - we keep our projection system updated with all of the changes as they occur throughout the day right up until lineup lock. Every day. If you want access to that system so you can cut out a lot of the research element, click the button below! START YOUR FREE TRIAL! What We Know Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry will both rest tonight against the Suns We'll start with the biggest news of the night. it's not necessarily surprising, with both of these guys playing tough minutes in a thriller against Boston less than 24 hours ago. We'll see a ton of guys move into relevancy here, with most attention on Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Serge Ibaka, and Delon Wright. All four are legitimate phenomenal plays in cash games. You're going to have to figure out who you want at each price point. Personally, Siakam, Wright, and Powell are my favorites. This is just a tough situation as there is no real reason to get off of any of these guys. You can safely expect 30+ minutes and at least two of these guys to blow value completely out of the water. Wendell Carter Jr. has been ruled out tonight against the Nuggets He was upgraded to doubtful after the Bulls learned there was no serious injury, but he experienced pain this morning and has been ruled out. With the size of Jokic, I think the Bulls would like to go Portis and Markkanen, but may struggle. They may be forced to give minutes to Robin Lopez and Cristiano Felicio, though I'm far from interested in either on a slate with much better value. I actually think Portis will see an extra 5-7 minutes and is a great option in every format. He's one of my hidden gems of the night. What We're Waiting to Know Joel Embiid and Wilson Chandler are both questionable to play against the Pacers This is huge news. Let's get Chandler out of the way. He's going to leave behind 25-30 minutes and quite a few shots if he's out. With that said, I think it's 4 or 5 guys that take his load. Butler, Redick, Shamet, Brewer, and Korkmaz should also see a few extra minutes and shots, but nothing that makes a huge difference. The real opportunity comes with the...

We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Stephen Curry FD - $10100 DK - $9600 Opponent - PHO Proj Pts FD - 48.89 DK - 51.47 I could've gone with Russell Westbrook in this spot, and he is certainly in play, but several factors are playing in Steph's favor. First and foremost the Thunder and Mavericks are facing off for the second time in as many days. Steph and the Warriors are coming in fresh, having had Sunday off following a solid smackdown on the Blazers Saturday night. Also, the matchup is much more favorable. Phoenix plays a slightly slower pace than the Mavericks do, but they make up for it being a bottom ten defense against opposing point guards. Steph is finally hitting the $10K mark for the first time since returning from injury earlier this month, but he's been a steady producer of 5X points per dollar (PPD) at these prices for four of his last six thanks to some solid shooting, and a healthy dose of peripherals. Our system prefers Russ from a raw point perspective, but as PPD plays go, Steph is priced to move as the clear and obvious choice. Kyrie Irving FD - $9400 DK - $8900 Opponent - SA Proj Pts FD - 44.16 DK - 44.9 I have to be honest, I don't love giving you two top tired players at a position, but we're on a shorter slate and options are limited. This spot was initially going to go to D.J. Augustin (more on that in just a bit), and Kyrie is really the only other standout at the position from a PPD perspective. This game against the Spurs is a pick'em in Vegas, with a 218 projected...
