Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $10200 DK - $9200 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 50.2 DK - 53.25 Tonight presents an interesting challenge in that two of the four games have blowout risk. While I am going to try and avoid these games for the most part, it will be impossible to avoid them completely and one player at the top of my list is Ja Morant. After missing nearly a month due to injury, he has been elite averaging 27.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists good for 47.7 DK/46.5 FD points per game. Not only does he get an elite matchup against the Pistons(22nd in def eff, 8th in pace) he has also seen a price that is trending down on DraftKings where he is a great play in all formats. Alec Burks FD - $6000 DK - $5900 Opponent - BOS Proj Pts FD - 29.98 DK - 31.98 An injury to Kemba Walker has thrust Alec Burks back into a starting role and the craziest part of it all is that the price has been trending down. As a started, Burks has been solid averaging 14 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and just over 30 fantasy points per game. It is a tougher matchup against Boston but with a price that is trending down and this being one of the two games without blowout risk, Burks is easily a top PTS/$ play on this slate. Shooting Guard Jaylen Brown FD - $9000 DK - $9000 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 38.93 DK - 42.49 The system isn't overly high on Brown at the moment but I sure am! For me, it comes down to multiple factors tonight starting with the extremely consistent floor Brown has provided as he comes into this matchup having dropped 40 DK points in nine straight averaging just over 47 in that time. The usage has been insane as he has taken 20+ shots in all but one of those games and even topped out at 36 against the Clippers. The second part of the equation for me is the fact this is one of two games expected to be close...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 1/5/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 1/5/21 It finally feels like the COVID protocols are starting to die down! Thank Goodness! With that said, it feels like we still have injuries every night, and it's left a few teams in shambles. All of that has left a ton of value on the board, and this article will zone in on many of those players stepping up. With that in mind, let's kick things off with two of those guys at the point guard position! Point Guard Kyle Lowry FD - $7400 DK - $7600 Opponent - POR Proj Pts FD - 34.07 DK - 35.75 It's sad that Miami hasn't been able to stay healthy all season, but they're still competing for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. All of the injuries have opened up the door for a few guys, though, with Kyle Lowry expected to get a ton of touches in this game. With Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo off the floor, Lowry has a 24 percent usage rate while averaging nearly 1.2 DK points per minute. He's actually averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game in the handful of games that both of those guys have sat, and that should be easy to accomplish here. We say that because Portland ranks dead-last in defensive efficiency while surrendering the third-most fantasy point to opposing PGs. Anfernee Simons FD - $5500 DK - $5300 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 26.25 DK - 28.33 This pricing is clearly a mistake. The DFS sites thought that Damian Lillard had a chance to suit up here, but he's already been ruled out. That's amazing since C.J. McCollum and Larry Nance are expected to sit too, leaving Simons will all the usage he can handle. In this same role on Monday, Simons dropped a career-high 43 points en route to 61 DraftKings points. We don't expect him to duplicate that, but even half of that at this price is still a great game from such a cheap player. The simple fact is, Simons is in line for 35-40 minutes and 15-20 shots while handling the ball on nearly every possession! If you're looking for a punt play, Tre Jones...

Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $9000 DK - $10200Opponent - SACProj Pts FD - 50.29 DK - 55.24 Yeah, I know this isn’t exactly the way you might want to start out considering the kind of game Westbrook had last time out. He struggled, to say the least, with 20 points, five assists, three rebounds, and 9!!! turnovers in the win over the Timberwolves. It was kind of a mess, but at least helped to keep his price from climbing. So there’s a positive I suppose. Today he gets a better matchup against the Kings who rank 24th on defense and run the fifth-fastest pace. This is one of the better teams you can face in DFS and the game should be up and down the court. The implied total is the highest on the slate before. Tre Jones FD - $4100 DK - $3800Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 27.77 DK - 30.36 The Spurs are another team dealing with injuries and Covid protocols right now, leaving more minutes in the backcourt for guys like Tre Jones. He got the start last game and ended up playing 32 minutes in an overtime loss to the Pistons. Jones was largely effective with 15 points on 6-10 shooting while also adding in seven rebounds. Some of his minutes went to Bryn Forbes off the bench with the latter actually closing the game, so that is a bit of a concern. But the price on Jones is still firmly in the punt play range which makes playing him in cash a lot less risky. Keep an eye out to see if the Spurs switch up their starting lineup here, but Jones should be good to go. Shooting Guard Derrick White FD - $8000 DK - $7200Opponent - TORProj Pts FD - 37.55 DK - 39.33 White is the major beneficiary of Dejounte Murray being out of the lineup for the Spurs and he sees a usage and just general on-ball uptick in this situation. White played 42 minutes in the overtime game on Saturday and put up an impressive 18 points and 14 assists in the loss. I think the minutes should trend on...

Point Guard James Harden FD - $11400 DK - $11300 Opponent - MEM Proj Pts FD - 55.09 DK - 59.88 We are seeing peak beard right now and it appears nothing can stop him, even the return of Kevin Durant. Harden has been an absolute beast tallying a triple-double and 70+ DK points in each of the two games Durant has been back and now has triple-doubles in three of his last four and 70+ DK points in four straight! Those are absolutely absurd numbers and I see no reason they can't continue tonight in a matchup vs Memphis which has the highest total on the board and should stay close enough for Harden to get a full run of minutes. Facundo Campazzo FD - $6400 DK - $6000 Opponent - DAL Proj Pts FD - 28.15 DK - 30.13 Campazzo stepped into a starting role over the last two games with Monte Morris in covid protocols and after a so-so first start, exploded on New Years day with 22 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds for 60 DK points. That prompted an immediate price boost but I am still on board as he will get another start tonight and I agree with the system which has his floor right around 30 fantasy points of 5x value. Even though we have seen the ceiling game, I am much more on board for cash as this game has the lowest total on the slate, and the Mavs rank 10th in defensive efficiency. Also Consider: Patrick Beverley(MIN) who has been solid hitting cash value(25+ DK points) in six of his last seven games with 30+ fantasy points in four of those games Shooting Guard Bradley Beal FD - $9100 DK - $10400 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 49.08 DK - 53.27 This play, or rather, how much I like it will be dependant on the status of Spencer Dinwiddie who has missed the last two games in covid protocols. Beal has been a beast in his absence with around a 30% usage rate dropping 21 of a team-high 43 shots and adding an insane 27 assists. What stands out even more is...

The Course Plantation Course @ Kapalua Par 73 - 7,596 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2021 - Harris English(-25) 2020 - Justin Thomas(-14) 2019 - Xander Schauffele(-23) 2018 - Dustin Johnson(-24) 2017 -Justin Thomas(-22) Welcome back golf fans. While I did enjoy the break, in a sport that has very few of them, I am so ready for the 2022 portion of the PGA Tour season. Got my season-long industry draft done, one and done's ready to roll, and it's now time to kick it off(sorry still got NFL in my head). The year starts with a celebration of 39 winners from last season as they all meet in Kapalua for the annual Tournament of Champions. It is a bit of a laid-back extension of the holiday season for some and no better way to get started than a birdie fest in Hawaii. The fairways at the Plantation Course are huge which have generated a 79% driving accuracy average over the last five years. This combined with monster-sized greens has me automatically relying on Strokes Gained: Approach as my top stat in my model. It's definitely not the only way to skin the cat, however, as Harris English hoisted the hardware last year on the back of a monster putting performance(+6.8 strokes). Finally, this is a no-cut event meaning all golfers will play all four rounds, and with a limited field, a stars and scrub build will be very popular. The "scrubs" aren't really scrubs when we are talking about a select group of players who won on Tour last season. No matter what direction you head, you are going to need birdies and lots of them as the winning score has been in the minus 20's in six of the last...
