DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 2/9/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 2/9/21 This has been the craziest NBA DFS season I've ever seen, and the chaos keeps coming. We had two blockbuster trades on Tuesday, and there's undoubtedly going to be more over the next 48 hours. That can make things tough on us, but it also opens up a ton of value. We're not exactly sure what these rotations will look like, but we'll do our best to project them out. With that in mind, let's kick things off with some cheap points guards. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Davion Mitchell FD - $5700 DK - $5600 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 33.16 DK - 34.18 De'Aaron Fox just made his return to action on Tuesday after a three-week absence, and we believe he's in line to sit the second half of a B2B set here. That alone would make Mitchell a great option, but trading Tyrese Haliburton on Tuesday makes Davion an elite play no matter what. That means he should be guaranteed 30 minutes, averaging 26 DraftKings points per game in the 14 outings he's played at least 30 minutes. That's all you can ask for from a sub-$6K player, especially with Mitchell looking at an expanded workload here. Not to mention, Minnesota ranks 19th in points allowed while surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing SGs. Coby White FD - $4500 DK - $5100 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 30.54 DK - 32.12 It's sad what's happened to this Chicago backcourt. Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso are both out with long-term injures, while Ayo Dosumnu suffered a concussion on Monday. That leaves White as one of the only point guards left, guaranteeing him 35-40 minutes. He's averaging 31 DK points per game in the 14 games he's played at least 29 minutes, doing most of that damage with at least one of those guys in the lineup. His price has steadily been dropping along with his role, but he should be closer to $7K here with so many backcourt players out. We adore the matchup with Charlotte, too, with the Hornets ranked 24th in defensive efficiency and 28th in points allowed. Josh Giddey has been stepping up in the...

As it usually does, this event has drawn another strong field which includes World #1 Jon Rahm and six of the World's Top 10 golfers. TPC Scottsdale is an average length(7,261 yards) Par 71 set in the Arizona desert which comes into play almost every hole with native areas lurking not far from the fairways. While hitting the fairway is always important in giving yourself consistent shots at hitting greens and making birdies, it is the approach shot that has the highest correlation in my research and leads the way in my ball striking model. Par 4 scoring is also about double that of par 5 scoring as there is only three Par 5's on this course. Overall, there are always different ways to win a golf tournament and it comes down to who checks the most boxes mixed with a little luck. Let's get into the picks. Top Targets Justin Thomas/Jon Rahm They are in a tier of their own this week checking every box and while I will exposure to both, I am slightly leaning JT who could give us some leverage this week in terms of ownership. Neither have won here in 13 combined appearances but both have excellent course history. Rahm has not only made the cut all six times but he has also not finished worse than T16 while JT has...

Point Guard Tyrese Haliburton FD - $7600 DK - $8600Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 42.46 DK - 44.86 Davion Mitchell FD - $5700 DK - $5400Opponent - MINProj Pts FD - 31.88 DK - 34.25 De'Aaron Fox has been questionable for what seems like infinity-straight days now and once again has that status on Tuesday. I think we just need to hear that he’s playing for sure before considering otherwise. With Fox out of the lineup, Halliburton has shouldered more of the offensive load, especially in facilitating the offense for the Kings. He’s coming off one of his best games of the season in a win over the Thunder. He scored 13 points and dished out 17 assists in that one, crushing value easily. He hasn’t been shooting as much as expected of late even with Fox out, but the assists are real and make up for some of that. Again, this is the late game so we might not know on Fox but it might be worth the risk. Meanwhile, one reason Haliburton is taking fewer shots is that others in the Kings starting lineup are picking up more of the usage. One of those guys is Mitchell who’s been drawing the starts in Fox’s place over the last week-plus. He’s played 35 or more minutes in each of the last three, taking 17 shots a game and averaging more than 20 points. From a fantasy perspective, Mitchell is definitely scoring dependent which can lead to some fluctuation in his value, but the DraftKings price is still too cheap if he’s running with the starters once again. Shooting Guard Jalen Suggs FD - $5500 DK - $6000Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 30.28 DK - 33.1 Suggs has been solid of late with the Magic pushing him to around 33 minutes in close games. Sure, they struggle to stay in close ones sometimes, but that shouldn’t be as big an issue against the Blazers who are in a bit of a state of flux right now. Over the last four, Suggs is averaging 14 points, with more than six rebounds and four assists. He’s also able to get after it a...

Point Guard Fred VanVleet FD - $8600 DK - $8500 Opponent - CHA Proj Pts FD - 42.63 DK - 45.88 Just five games tonight but some outstanding matchups await and it starts with the Raptors who get the best of them all against a hornets team that is 24th in defensive efficiency and run the second-fastest pace in the league. For Fred, it starts with the consistency as he comes in having dropped 40 or more DK points in eight straight(average of 45.0) and that is shooting just 34% from the field in that time. The best news here is that his DK price has dropped to its lowest point since late November which makes him an elite play for me in all formats. Kyle Lowry FD - $5600 DK - $6600 Opponent - WAS Proj Pts FD - 26.36 DK - 29.79 Lowry has been limited in both games since his return with the second more on the huge blowout than him actually being restricted as he still ended up playing 31 minutes. He should be back to full strength tonight and that is great news as his price has dropped to season-low on both sites. This game does have the lowest total(209) on this slate but this is an above-average matchup for the Heat as the Wizards rank 21st in defensive efficiency. All things considered, Lowry is on my shortlist for top PTS/$ plays tonight on both sites. Shooting Guard Donovan Mitchell FD - $8500 DK - $8400 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 39 DK - 42.32 Mitchell made his return to the Jazz on Friday and while he was eased back in playing just 22 minutes, he looked great dropping 8 of 10 from the field(6 of 7 from behind the arc) for 42.8 DK/38.6 FD points. He should get back to his usual rotation on Monday and that is great news as the price remains suppressed, especially on DraftKings where he has been in the $9K for most of the season. He is a high-volume shooter who also contributes multiple categories making him a great play in all formats on this smaller five-game slate. Aaron Holiday...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 2/6/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Sunday, 2/6/21 If NBA DFS wasn't crazy enough for you, we have the trade deadline fast approaching! That deadline takes place on Thursday, and we had our first big trade on Friday. There will undoubtedly be more in the coming days, and that's one of the best ways to capitalize on DFS. Players will inevitably creep into more prominent roles, and it's something you need to keep an eye on before submitting lineups. With that in mind, let's kick things off with one of the most exciting players in the NBA! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Luka Doncic FD - $11600 DK - $12000 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 54.2 DK - 56.48 Luka has been one of the best players in fantasy since he was drafted, and he could honestly be in this article every day. We like him here because of his recent form, scoring at least 65 DraftKings points in seven of his last 10 games. He's actually got 71 or more in three straight, and it's easy to understand why since Luka is flirting with a 40 percent usage rate with Kristaps Porzingis sidelined. He was already leading the NBA in usage before, and he's literally touching the ball on every play right now. Facing Atlanta is the jelly in the donut, with the Hawks ranked 25th in points allowed and 27th in defensive efficiency. Not to mention, you know Doncic will be motivated against the team who passed up on him in the draft. Brandon Goodwin FD - $4800 DK - $5400 Opponent - IND Proj Pts FD - 27.22 DK - 27.32 Goodwin was a free agent just last week, but he's stepped in and been fantastic for the Cavs. A gluttony of injuries has forced him into this role, with Darius Garland, Collin Sexton, and Ricky Rubio all injured. That has led to BG scoring at least 26 DK points in three straight outings, averaging 35 fantasy points per game across 34 minutes a night over the last two outings. That's tough to find from a $5K player, and it looks like he's a lock for 30-35 minutes as long as Garland remains out. Facing the Pacers is...
