Point Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander FD - $9600 DK - $9600 Opponent - SAC Proj Pts FD - 48.71 DK - 51.22 The Thunder will be without Josh Giddey for the second straight game on Monday and that means another heavy workload for SGA. Despite turning the ball over seven times last game, he was en Fuego playing 38 minutes, shooting 13 for 24, and dropping one of his best fantasy performances(60.5 DK/61.1 FD) of the season. The price only ticked up slightly and he now gets an elite matchup against the Kings who rank 29th in defensive efficiency and 6th in pace. Fire up SGA in all formats tonight. Brandon Goodwin FD - $5300 DK - $5200 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 31.19 DK - 33.5 To say the Cavs are short guards tonight would be an understatement as all three of Garland, LeVert and Rondo are out. Goodwin has been the benefactor of getting more playing time and has put up double-digit shot attempts in back-to-back games and is set to get his second straight start after playing 38 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday. The shooting was nothing to get excited for(2-11 for 8 pts) but he did provide six assists and five rebounds to help him pay off. The price has gone up here but the PTS/$ floor is still high considering the opportunity and the matchup is decent as well as Minnesota ranks 17th in defensive efficiency and is a huge pace-up spot as they are also 6th in that area. Goodwin is a top value play on both sites. Shooting Guard Malcolm Brogdon FD - $5800 DK - $7100 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 34.77 DK - 37.67 Tyrese Haliburton FD - $9200 DK - $8600 Opponent - ORL Proj Pts FD - 40.42 DK - 42.72 The new-look Pacers have struggled to find wins(2-4) since the trade but are chock-full of fantasy production at the guard position so let's just list both here. Let's start with Brogdon who is having a very solid fantasy season thanks to a balanced effort. Before the Achilles injury in mid-December, he averaged 19.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Saturday 2/26/22

Point Guard Dejounte Murray FD - $9700 DK - $10700Opponent - MIAProj Pts FD - 50.35 DK - 53.12 Dejounte Murray is having a truly great season, racking up tons of fantasy points and basically doing everything for the Spurs. He’s coming off a monster 31 point, 14 assist, 13 rebound triple-double against the Wizards in a double-overtime win. Because of that, I’m a little concerned the minutes get dialed back some against the Heat on the back-to-back, but he’s still cheap enough to consider on FanDuel especially. On DraftKings, the price is getting a bit steep. But Murray has such a high floor considering all the ways he’s scoring fantasy points this season. Brandon Goodwin FD - $5400 DK - $4200Opponent - WASProj Pts FD - 27.25 DK - 27.42 The Cavaliers just can’t catch a break at the point guard position this season. Just about everyone they’ve slotted there has gotten hurt. Darius Garland, Colin Sexton, Ricky Rubio, and now Rajon Rondo have gotten hurt. That’s going to leave Brandon Goodwin here on Saturday to run the offense against the Wizards. He got in there for 24 minutes on Thursday when Rondo went down and he finished with 15 points, five assists, and four rebounds. The price did come up some, but I’m not too worried about it on either site. The DraftKings salary is an easy call. Shooting Guard Tyler Herro FD - $6000 DK - $6200Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 31.04 DK - 35.08 It’s often very tough to recommend bench guys as can plays, especially on larger slates because the minutes can just be too volatile. Herro is one of the few exceptions to that rule considering how the Heat use him this season. The runaway Sixth Man of the Year favorite right now, Herro has consistently stuck in this role almost no matter the Miami injury situations. They are getting healthier now, but he still came off the bench on Friday to drop 25 points on 9-18 shooting in the win over the Knicks. The price is right in the mid-tier, but I’m fine going here against a Spurs team that is below-average on defense while...

Point Guard Reggie Jackson FD - $6900 DK - $7600Opponent - LALProj Pts FD - 39.21 DK - 43.3 The Lakers have been a good DFS matchup this season, running one of the fastest paces in the league and playing a below-average defense which is set to get worse without Anthony Davis for the foreseeable future. That leaves Reggie Jackson in a good spot here and he should run minutes in the upper-30s if things stay close. He played 37+in three of the previous four games before the break, averaging 17 points, nine assists, and four rebounds per game in that stretch. I think that’s a reasonable floor in this game against the Lakers and he makes for a solid, middle-tier play. Cole Anthony FD - $6100 DK - $7000Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 33.52 DK - 36.86 Cole Anthony is a bit riskier than I usually want to go in cash, but the matchup is almost too good to pass up. This game has a 228.5 total, the highest of the slate, and features teams who want to get up and down the court without playing much defense at all. He lost some minutes to blowout heading into the break, but this guy contributes across all areas of the stat line which does keep his floor pretty high even if the scoring isn’t happening. He rebounds the position exceptionally well and has put up 15+ points in seven of his last nine games. I think I’m fine going here on FanDuel and frankly want to stack Magic even on a bigger slate of games. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $9000 DK - $9200Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 47.59 DK - 51.28 With Chris Paul out for an extended period of time now we got a sense of how the Suns are going to roll in the short-term without their floor general. Phoenix started Booker at point guard on Thursday and he was flat out awesome in the role. Against the Thunder, Booker piled it on with 25 points, 12 assists, and six rebounds while also just putting up six assists as well. The defensive stats are definitely an outlier,...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Thursday 2/24

Point Guard Ja Morant FD - $10000 DK - $10400 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 46.55 DK - 49.91 Morant is somewhat of a longshot for the MVP award(+1400) at the halfway point but has definitely entered the conversation in a big way in 2022 and likely for years to come. He went into the fantasy break with a great matchup against Portland and crushed with a 44-5-11 line and now comes out of the break with another elite matchup. While the T-Wolves are league average in terms of defensive efficiency, this game has a monster total(239) due to the projected pace as both teams rank Top 10 in that area. The price is now consistently in the $10K range on both sites which I am fine with considering the 45 fantasy point floor and 70 point upside. Lock and load in all formats. Rajon Rondo FD - $3900 DK - $3900 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 26.04 DK - 27.63 With both Darius Garland and Caris LeVert out tonight, Rondo should step into a starting role and if that's the case will be a lock in all formats at a sub $4K price tag. Right now we have him projected for 29 minutes and the last two times he has seen that kind of time on the floor he went for 40+ DK points in each. I would fully expect double-digit attempts here but he has also been solid in providing secondary stat value which helps give him a very high floor as well. All things considered, he will be a top PTS/$ for us tonight but make sure to check back for starting lineups prior to lock. Keep an eye on the status of Cameron Payne(PHO) who is reportedly slated to return Thursday and enter the starting lineup with Chris Paul out. Stay tuned for more news and starting lineups. Shooting Guard Devin Booker FD - $8800 DK - $8800 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 46.41 DK - 49.76 Aaron Holiday FD - $3500 DK - $3700 Opponent - OKC Proj Pts FD - 26.59 DK - 28.39 The Suns have been dominant this season...

Track Information Auto Club Speedway  Track Type - Two-Mile Oval 14° of Banking Last Six Winners at Auto Club Speedway 2020 - Alex Bowman(started 3rd) 2019 - Kyle Busch(started 4th) 2018 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 1st) 2017 - Kyle Larson(started 1st) 2016 - Jimmie Johnson(started 19th) After a jam-packed week in Daytona, the NASCAR Cup Series heads back West for a three-week stretch that starts at Auto Club Speedway for the Wise Power 400. The track is a two-mile D-shaped oval that I categorize with Michigan in my track type database with the only real difference between the two being the banking as Michigan is slightly steeper at 18 degrees. Both tracks are high on the driver's list and it comes down to speed and the fact there are multiple lanes to try and generate speed. Combine all that with the new NextGen car and we should get another exciting race on Sunday. While we were blessed with four practices for the Daytona 500 last week, things are somewhat rushed and shortened here in Cali this week. This will mark the start of the new practice and qualifying structure in place for the 2022 season. Before we go any further let's have a look at how it will play out. Qualifying position has proven to be very important here at Fontana as displayed above with the winner coming from a Top 5 starting position in four straight years including from the pole twice. Looking at it from an entire field perspective, Auto Club Speedway has also posted one of the highest correlations from start to finish of all tracks in the series(can find this data on my NASCAR sheet). Despite needing qualifying data to finalize...
