Point Guard/Shooting Guard LaMelo Ball FD - $7800 DK - $8700Opponent - BKNProj Pts FD - 43.12 DK - 46.83 The Hornets host the Nets on Tuesday in what actually becomes a pretty important game for both teams when it comes to (likely) eventual play-in game seeding. These teams are knotted up right now and owning the season series could end up becoming pretty important. Ball has had some trouble maintaining consistent minutes this season which is really the one thing that’s keeping his fantasy production and salaries in check. Because when he’s actually on the court, the dude can pile it up in a big way. Against a Nets team ranked 20th in defensive efficiency and 10th in pace, I think we can easily play him here, and considering there is some leverage with this one we should see Ball get full minutes share. Cameron Payne FD - $6600 DK - $5300Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 38.91 DK - 42.29 Landry Shamet FD - $5100 DK - $3700Opponent - ORLProj Pts FD - 23.67 DK - 26.23 Payne remains in the starting lineup for the Suns as they are still without Chris Paul and Devin Booker. Payne’s price hasn’t come even close to adjusting to what his role is with the team right now and he’s coming off excellent back-to-back games that saw him average 20 points and 12 assists. That kind of production is easily able to sustain as well considering how the Suns run their offense and these prices are kind of a joke. He will, almost definitely, be one of the higher-owned plays on this slate and with good reason. The DraftKings’ price makes things especially easy. Meanwhile, Shamet is coming way too cheap on DraftKings at under $4K and should see plenty of minutes in this game. With the Suns without Paul, Booker, and now Cameron Johnson, the two-guard played 34 minutes last time out in the loss to the Bucks. He ended up dropping 17 points and adding five assists in that one. He might play even more against Orlando here considering Phoenix lost another role player. The FanDuel price...

Guards Trae Young FD - $9700 DK - $10200 Opponent - DET Proj Pts FD - 48.71 DK - 53.5 With a month left in the season, the Hawks sit as the #10 seed which is also the final play-in tournament spot. It will be all hands on deck down the stretch and its starts with their superstars Trae Young. While he can be inconsistent at times in terms of his fantasy performances and that helps keep his price in check compared to other stars and that is great news for tonight as he faces a Pistons team that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency. We never have to worry about volume with Trae either as he is averaging just over 20 shots a game since the start of February and he has also been very consistent for fantasy averaging 49.4 DK/45.0 FD points per game in that time. All things considered, Trae is my favorite guard play and one of my favorite overall plays on this slate. Cade Cunningham FD - $7300 DK - $7500 Opponent - ATL Proj Pts FD - 36.09 DK - 39.57 On the other side of this game, we have a team in the Pistons who are all but eliminated from the playoffs but still on the radar as we have a live Rookie of the Year race. Cunningham faded away for a bit but is making a push again as he comes into tonight having averaged 20.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game over his last seven and like Trae, is not afraid to shoot averaging 18.7 shots per game in that time. The price is fair on both sites and considering the elite volume and matchup vs. the Hawks who rank 27th in defensive efficiency I will have exposure to Cade in all formats. Brandon Williams FD - $3500 DK - $3800 Opponent - MIN Proj Pts FD - 22.5 DK - 25.93 The Trailblazers are huge underdogs(+15) in this game but come in very short-handed, especially at the guard position. Justice Winslow will miss his fourth straight game while Simons got hurt late last game and is also ruled out for tonight. Williams...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Sunday, 3/6/22

FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Saturday, 3/6/22 Last night was a fantastic night of basketball. Right when I thought I never wanted to see the Lakers again, LeBron James reminded me why he's the greatest player of our generation. His 56 points were a pleasure to watch and nights like those remind you how special this sport can be. We likely won't get anything like that here, but we do have eight games making up this Sunday card. Head on over for your chance to get DFSR PRO, which will give you access to our NBA FanDuel and DraftKings optimizer, our MLB Optimizer, and NHL Projections as well. Plus, our new player lab! We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Reggie Jackson FD - $7000 DK - $8700 Opponent - NY Proj Pts FD - 37.4 DK - 39.48 This DraftKings price is nuts, but Reggie has earned every bit of it with his ravishing play. He had 36 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists in the most recent game, giving him a 40-point average over his last nine outings in total. It's easy to understand why he's been so productive when looking at his role, taking over this offense in the absence of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Norman Powell. In this expanded role, Reggie is averaging about 35 minutes, 20 shots, and a 30 percent usage rate. That's all you can ask for, and it should be easy to continue here with New York ranked 19th in defensive efficiency ratings. Malachi Flynn FD - $6300 DK - $5400 Opponent - CLE Proj Pts FD - 32.91 DK - 33.23 With Fred VanVleet likely missing another game, Flynn should get another start at point guard for Toronto. He's been tremendous in this role, scoring at least 34 DraftKings points in three of his four starts. The simple fact is, the Raptors aren't taking this guy off the floor with FVV sidelined, playing 36 minutes a game in this newfound role. Getting a 34-point floor and 36 minutes is more indicative of an $8K player, and it makes Flynn one of the best values on both sites. Cleveland is definitely no easy matchup, but it really doesn't matter if Malachi continues to play 35-40 minutes at this price. Ja Morant has been averaging over 50 DraftKings points per game for a month now and gets the best matchup in fantasy basketball. Shooting Guard Gary Trent Jr. FD - $6600...

DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Saturday 3/5/22

Point Guard/Shooting Guard I've taken to just putting these two positions together because there is so much overlap at this point. Dejounte Murray FD - $9600 DK - $10800Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 50.38 DK - 50.14 On this slate, Murray likely has the highest floor of any player. He’s been magnificent this season, averaging 20.3 points, 9.4 assists, and 8.4 rebounds on the season. And this is just the right kind of matchup for Murray in what is definitely a pace-up game for the Spurs. Charlotte is running the league’s fastest pace on the season (102.9) and is playing a bottom-third defense which lands right at the intersection of where we want to find opponents in DFS. The FanDuel price is an especially easy landing spot, though it’s a bit close on DraftKings. LaMelo Ball FD - $8000 DK - $8500Opponent - SAProj Pts FD - 41.67 DK - 45.25 Maybe we want to stack the point guards from this game considering it has the highest total (240.5) of the entire five-game slate, beating out the next closest by about seven points. LaMelo is coming off a dreadful game that saw him play only 8 minutes (8!) after getting in foul trouble early and mostly just looking terrible. I’m not going to take all that much away from the game considering the season-long track record, but it is at least a mild concern. I’m hoping that others look at it and are steered away here. The price on both sites is totally palatable and we know he has a solid floor considering how he racks up fantasy points. D'Angelo Russell FD - $7800 DK - $7900Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 42.43 DK - 46.61 Patrick Beverley FD - $4700 DK - $5100Opponent - PORProj Pts FD - 29.88 DK - 31.46 There are some injury issues we are going to need to have resolved before locking in lineups for this evening. But we should know most of it before 7PM EST. One of those pieces we need to know about is Anthony Edwards and his status. He sat out Friday and when that’s the case there is usage bumps almost...

NASCAR is now headed to it's fourth different track(including the Coliseum) and as they figure things out track time is going to be key. This is where the biggest change comes in as instead of the 15-minute group practices this week in Las Vegas, teams will all practice together in a 35-minute session before then breaking into two groups for single-car qualifying. Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been on the schedule since 1998 and adopted a second race back in 2018. The track is a 1.5-mile D-shaped oval with 20 degrees of progressive banking and 1st in my quality pass metric when looking at mile and a half tracks. Whether that continues with the new car remains to be seen but Fontana saw its second-most quality passes over the last 10 races there so I am positive we see a good race in Sin City. I have also put together a track position importance research tool for 2022 which pretty much looks at the correlation from starting position to finishing position. Las Vegas ranks #1 when looking at mile and a half tracks and #2 overall in terms of...
