Point Guard/ Shooting Guard Luka Doncic FD - $10700 DK - $12000Opponent - HOUProj Pts FD - 57.11 DK - 61.82 I suspect Doncic will be the highest-owned big-money play on this slate and it might not be all that close. He gets the best matchup facing off against the Rockets who have allowed the most opponent fantasy points this season by far, with really only the Kings coming close in that respect. Since the beginning of February, Doncic has been on a tear, averaging 35 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists per game. With Kristaps Porzingis gone, the offense is running even more through him which is really saying something, but his load has almost become easier because the addition of Spencer Dinwiddie to spell Jalen Brunson has allowed Doncic more room to operate. This is an easy play on FanDuel though the DraftKings price does at least make you think. Devonte' Graham FD - $4300 DK - $4300Opponent - CHAProj Pts FD - 27.94 DK - 31.02 The Pelicans are going to be without both Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum for this game which should open up plenty of offensive opportunities for Graham who will likely pick up most of the primary ball-handling responsibilities. With those two guys off the court this season, Graham sees a noticeable (about 4% for each) uptick in both usage and assist rate. The price didn’t really adjust at all for what should be a considerable opportunity boost. And this is definitely a pace-up matchup for New Orleans facing off against the Hornets who run the third-fastest in the league. LaMelo Ball FD - $7500 DK - $8600Opponent - NOProj Pts FD - 43.77 DK - 47.6 As always, the major thing we need to worry about with LaMelo is the minutes. Even in some close games, James Borrego won’t push him over 30+ minutes, and at these prices that can sometimes be an issue. One would think that this matchup would be on the easier side of things, more in line with keeping Ball on the court for minutes in the mid-30s, but we can’t totally trust that at this point. He’s a triple-double threat...

This is also a huge week for teams and their notebooks as this will be the third straight season with Phoenix raceway hosting the Championship Race. The track is a 1.022-mile Tri-Oval short track with 11 degrees of banking in turns 1 & 2 and 9 degrees of banking in turns 3 & 4. Also of note, when breaking down track history, is that the track was reconstructed after the spring race in 2018 with the start/finish line being moved from the backstretch to the entry of the dogleg(old turn 2). One thing that hasn't changed over the years at Phoenix is the importance of track position as it ranks 1st, 1st, 4th in my model looking at the correlation of qualifying positon and finishing position over the last 2, 5, and 10 races at all tracks. The only race that has seen a correlation under .500 since the reconfiguration was the first race after which was the playoff race in 2018 and it was insane with six accidents including nine cars. When looking at dominator points, there have been multiple drivers to...

Sure, there are only two games which is tough for DFS but we get the game of the year so far with the Nets visiting the 76ers. I think Doug said it best in his tweet yesterday: Can anyone think of a regular-season game in recent years that has many subplots as Nets-76ers tomorrow? James Harden vs. Brooklyn Kevin Durant is, well, Durant Embiid battling for MVP Kyrie Irving coming off 50 Ben Simmons on bench East seeding Nets fighting for playoffs — Doug Norrie (@DougNorrie) March 9, 2022 Following that game, we then get a key matchup between two of the best Western Conference teams in the Nuggets and Warriors. Despite the challenging situation for DFS, let's dig in and have a look at a few plays we should be focusing on tonight. Guards James Harden FD - $10200 DK - $10400 Opponent - BKN Proj Pts FD - 49.49 DK - 54.33 All signs point to a monster night for Harden who is facing the Nets for the first time since being traded at the deadline. Since joining the 76ers, he has been fantastic averaging 24.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 12.4 assists per game which comes out to an elite fantasy average of 56.8 DK/53.1 FD points per game. The best part here is that the small slate has also dropped his DraftKings salary to its lowest price since mid-November. Harden is my favorite guard and overall favorite play on this slate. Kyrie Irving FD - $9700 DK - $9900 Opponent - PHI Proj Pts FD - 42.09 DK - 45.54 The system has made it clear it does not like the price here for Kyrie as we are normally looking for double-double potential and triple-double upside from our $10K+ plays. While Kyrie lacks that upside to an extent, he has made up for it with usage averaging 21 shots per game since the start of February(9 games) and has dropped 48 or more DraftKings points in five of his last six games. Neither of these guards plays much defense and this could turn into a slugfest in a hurry...
DFS NBA Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings – Wednesday, 3/9/22
FanDuel NBA Picks and DraftKings NBA Picks - Wednesday, 3/9/22 It's actually a 12-game slate, and it took forever to digest the player pool. We've got you completely covered. Point Guard Russell Westbrook FD - $6800 DK - $8500 Opponent - HOU Proj Pts FD - 45.99 DK - 49.19 This might be the first time I've written up Westbrook all season, but this is the spot to use him. The most crucial factor is that Anthony Davis and LeBron James are expected to miss this game. That means Westbrook can return to the high-usage guard that made him a $10K player in his days with OKC, stuffing the stat sheet at ease. That paired with the matchup makes Russ impossible to avoid, with Houston playing at the second-fastest pace in the NBA while ranked dead-last in defensive efficiency. He's crushed them in their three meetings this season, averaging 23.7 points, 10 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game. Cameron Payne FD - $6800 DK - $6500 Opponent - MIA Proj Pts FD - 37.31 DK - 38.39 Cam has been great filling in for the Suns. They're currently missing Chris Paul and Devin Booker, leaving Payne with all the usage he can handle. He's actually scored at least 39 DraftKings points in three straight outings, averaging 46 fantasy points per game in that span. That's no surprise when you see that Cam averaged 40 fantasy points per game in his three starts for CP3 last season. All of that means he should probably be an $8K player, and it limits any risk from this tough matchup. With all that said, this is the second half of a B2B, so if Payne is rested for some reason, don't forget about Aaron Holiday. We like whoever starts at point guard for the Blazers, with Anfernee Simons and Brandon Williams both way too cheap. Shooting Guard Jalen Green FD - $6000 DK - $5700 Opponent - LAL Proj Pts FD - 26.3 DK - 27.77 Most rookies tend to get off to slow starts, which was certainly the case for Green. With that said, he's really found his stride recently, scoring at least 28 DraftKings...

The Course TPC Sawgrass Par 72 - 7,256 Yards Greens - Bermuda **Click the image above to see a hole by hole breakdown from PGATour.com** Previous Five Winners 2021 - Juston Thomas(-14) 2019 - Rory McIlroy(-16) 2018 - Webb Simpson(-18) 2017 - Si Woo Kim(-10) 2016 - Jason Day(-15) This week the "strongest field in golf" heads to TPC Sawgrass for the (all caps)PLAYERS Championship. Last year, it was Justin Thomas hoisting the hardware with a spectacular tee to green effort where he gained 13 strokes on the field. The only reason Lee Westwood, Bryson, and others had a chance was the JT's average putter(+1.6 or 52nd in the field). When looking at the strokes gained data, it was an almost identical win for Rory in 2019 as he gained 13 strokes tee to green en route to winning while finishing 56th in SG: Putting. While we do have a very strong field, it is not categorized as the "toughest" in terms of scoring as it has only ranked inside the Top 15 hardest courses once(2017) in the last five trips to TPC Sawgrass. The field is even stronger than last year as all of the Top 10 and 48 of the Top 50 players in the World will be teeing it up at TPC Sawgrass this week. The course is a Pete Dye gem that, like almost all of his designs, comes with tight fairways, lots of doglegs and hazards forcing accuracy and with TPC Sawgrass in Florida, that means a ton of water(in play on 17 holes). Overall, it is going to take a strong all-around game to beat the best players in the world but below I will go over a few of my key stats in the model this week. Top Stats Strokes Gained: Ball Striking Let's start with Strokes Gained: Off the...
