It was a very exciting finish last week in Chicago where Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch played bumper tag on the final lap with Busch eventually coming out on top to pick up his fifth win of the season. Through six races on the mile and a half tracks, Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch have split the wins down the middle each with three on the season. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series heads back to Daytona International Speedway for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 this Saturday night. It is the third restrictor plate race of the season and first since Talladega back at the end of April. As we discussed in the past, the strategy is a little different at a plate race than others. With the race only having 160 laps plus the many lead changes due to drafting, the importance of dominator points is greatly reduced. The biggest thing we will be looking for this week is place differential as 10 or more drivers have tallied double-digit place differential in five of the last six races here at Daytona(nine in the other). The other thing we can look at from a strategy standpoint is stacking teammates or cars from the same manufacturer as they tend to work together in the draft. With all that said, let's jump in and take a look at some race trends and some pre-qualifying targets. Then stay tuned as my DFS NASCAR Cheatsheet will be updated through practices and qualifying and I will be posting my top picks for the race. Last Six Winners at Daytona 2018 Daytona 500 - Austin Dillon(started 14th) 2017 Coke Zero 400 - Ricky Stenhouse Jr.(started 6th) 2017 Daytona 500 - Kurt Busch(started 8th) 2016 Coke Zero 400 - Brad Keselowski(started 5th) 2016 Daytona 500 - Denny Hamlin(started 11th) 2015 Coke Zero 400 - Dale Earnhardt Jr.(started 1st) Top 5 Current Track History at Daytona Bubba Wallace has only raced here twice in...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Overton’s 400

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Overton's 400 Chicagoland Speedway - Joliet, IL Track - 1.5 Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate It was an excellent road course race at Sonoma where Martin Truex Jr. and crew chief Cole Pearn faked out the competition with pit strategy and eventually picked up the win. It was the #78 team's third checkered flag of the season cementing the three-horse race in the standings as he, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch have won 12 of the first 16 races of the season. This week the Monster Energy Cup Series heads to Chicagoland Speedway for the Overton's 400 this Sunday afternoon. After spending each of the last seven years as the first race of the playoffs, Chicago returns to a familiar July date where it spent the previous 10 years since it opened in 2001. The track is a 1.5-mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate track which gives us lots of track type data to go on this week. Martin Truex Jr. has won back to back races here and track position has proved to be key in both those races as eight and six drivers who finished Top 10 started Top 10 with just three drivers in those two races combined picked up double-digit place differential. Even with 267 laps in the race, there have been just three drivers over the last six races to lead 100 or more laps so multiple dominators will be the target this week as two or more drivers have led 50 or laps in five of the last six races. Let's now jump in and take a look at some track trends and pre-qualifying targets and stay tuned for my final picks posted on my cheatsheet and in my weekly video. Last Six Winners at Chicagoland Speedway 2017 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 3rd, led 77 laps) 2016 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 6th, led 32 laps) 2015 - Denny Hamlin(started 29th, led 9 laps) 2014 - Brad Keselowski(started 25th, led 62 laps) 2013 - Matt Kenseth(started 10th, led 89 laps) 2012 - Brad Keselowski(started 13th, led 76 laps) Top 5 Current Track History at Chicagoland Speedway As I...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – Toyota/Save Mart 350

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Toyota/Save Mart 350 Sonoma Raceway - Sonoma, CA Track - 1.99 Mile Road Course After a week off, the Monster Energy Cup Series returns to the track this week for the first road course race of the season at Sonoma Raceway. There are now three road courses in the series but all have their differences as Watkins Glen is more of a speedway with higher speeds while Sonoma is the more technical of the two and as they haven't raced the "Roval" at Charlotte yet, we are unsure how it will race yet. For the most part, experienced drivers are the ones who do best on these tracks and the days of the "road course ringers" have come and gone. From a fantasy perspective, there are only 110 laps in this race and with different strategies, especially with the new stage racing, dominator points are downgraded this week. No driver has led 50 or more laps in any of the last four races here with anywhere between two and four drivers leading 20 or more laps in those races. Place differential is the going to be something we will concentrate highly for building our core this week as there were seven drivers last year to record double-digit place differential and as many as 14 to do so in the 2015 race. Track position is key as there have been five or more drivers who have started inside the Top 10 finish there in four of the last six races. Qualifying, as always, will play a big role so stay tuned for the updates on my cheatsheet and final picks video posted below when final practice is complete. Let's jump in and take a look at some race trends and pre-qualifying picks. Last Six Winners at Sonoma Raceway 2017 - Kevin Harvick(started 12th, led 24 laps) 2016 - Tony Stewart(started 10th, led 22 laps) 2015 - Kyle Busch(started 11th, led 17 laps) 2014 - Carl Edwards(started 4th, led 26 laps) 2013 - Martin Truex Jr.(started 14th, led 51 laps) 2012 - Clint Bowyer(started 6th, led 71 laps) Top 5 Current...

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   Iowa 250 Iowa Speedway - Newton, IA Track - .875 Mile Short Track Hello race fans and welcome back for another week of daily fantasy NASCAR. The Monster Energy Cup Series takes a week off this week before heading to Sonoma Raceway next weekend but don't worry as we have some exciting Xfinity series racing to keep us going. Adding to the excitement is the fact there will be no Cup drivers in this week's race which keeps the salaries tighter together at the top and creates a much better lineup construction process. This week the Xfinity Series heads to Iowa Speedway for the Iowa 250 which will take place on Sunday evening starting at 5:00 p.m. ET. The track is a .875-mile short track and the series visits here twice a year which is nice when looking for statistics as we have a nice sample size of data to go through on the sheet. Looking at that data, the first thing that stood out to me is that each of the last six winners have come from a starting position of 6th or better and three times from the front row. Dominator points will be key as there has been at least one(two in the last race) driver to lead 100 or more laps and four times it was the winner of the race. Place differential is largely dependant on qualifying but for the most part, it has been irrelevant here as only once there has been more than five drivers to pick up double-digit place differential and only twice have more than three done it. The other thing to keep in mind is that in the Xfinity Series they run same day qualifying and this week we will get a window of about an hour and a half following qualifying before lineup lock. Before getting into the pre-qualifying picks for this week let's take a look at the weekend schedule. Practice #1 - Saturday, June 16 @3:05 p.m. ET Practice #2 - Saturday, June 16 @5:40 p.m. ET Qualifying - Sunday, June 17 @2:35 p.m. ET Race - Sunday, June 17 @5:00 p.m. ET Last Six Winners at Iowa Speedway Ryan Preece(started 1st,...

Daily Fantasy NASCAR Race Preview & Picks for DraftKings – FireKeepers Casino 400

First time with MLB? Be sure to read our free MLB Ebooks on building lineups, general strategy and more. We've got you completely covered.   FireKeepers Casino 400 Michigan International Speedway Track - Two-Mile D-Shaped Oval Intermediate Welcome back race fans. Things are starting to heat up as the narrative is changing fast in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Last year's champion, Martin Truex Jr, picked up his second win of the season and joins the elite class with Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick who have dominated the first third of the season with nine wins between them. Even seven-time champions, Jimmie Johnson, is starting to heat up with five Top 10 finishes in his last seven races. This week the Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for the FireKeepers Casino 400 this Sunday afternoon. As you can see below, Kyle Larson has owned this track lately with three straight wins here and has done it from the 9th and 12th starting positions as well as form the pole in last year's Spring race. The track is a two-mile oval intermediate track that produces some of the top speeds in NASCAR as cars will exceed 200+ mph on the straightaways. While there are only 200 laps in the race, we will be looking at building around a couple dominators as there has been three instances where a driver has led over 100 laps in the last six races. While we rarely seen multiple drivers lead 50 or laps, that changed last season with the start of stage racing as both races had two drivers do so. As always, place differential will come down to qualifying which is on Friday afternoon so be sure to check back for my picks video posted below after final practice. You can also check on my cheatsheeet where I list my top plays when looking at dominators, place differential, GPP pivots, and value plays. Let's now jump in and take a look at some trends here at Michigan and then some pre-qualifying targets. Last Six Winners at Michigan International Speedway 2017(2) - Kyle Larson(started 9th, led 2 laps) 2017(1) - Kyle Larson(started 1st, led 96 laps) 2016(2) - Kyle Larson(started 12th, led 41 laps) 2016(1) - Joey...
